Such a variety of characters but so relatable。 My baby loveddd looking at all the babies! The families portrayed are many colors & personalities。 I enjoyed seeing normal parent figures: a dad in boxer shorts on the couch, a mom falling asleep breastfeeding, parents bonding with their babies while getting stuff done。 Borrowed from the library, but might have to add to our home library collection。

Great!

Sweet little book。 The refrain "Everywhere babies。。。" start every two-page spread。 The illustrations show the many different ways babies are cared for。 Includes a page with "everywhere babies are eating" that has one mom nursing a baby。 Sweet little book。 The refrain "Everywhere babies。。。" start every two-page spread。 The illustrations show the many different ways babies are cared for。 Includes a page with "everywhere babies are eating" that has one mom nursing a baby。 。。。more

This book is a great story to have in your classroom or home。 It made me smile and think it could make a lot of people day after they read it。 I recommend it for lower elementary and below students。

This book is such a precious children's book。 I love the simplicity and how every page starts with the same sequence of words。 The pictures are all so cute and detailed。 I appreciate how every page shows diversity in the babies shown; white, black, asian, and hispanic babies are all shown。 They show different hair types of curly, straight, and no hair in the babies。 They show diversity in the parents of the babies。 All around this book has a cute message of loving babies just they way they are。 This book is such a precious children's book。 I love the simplicity and how every page starts with the same sequence of words。 The pictures are all so cute and detailed。 I appreciate how every page shows diversity in the babies shown; white, black, asian, and hispanic babies are all shown。 They show different hair types of curly, straight, and no hair in the babies。 They show diversity in the parents of the babies。 All around this book has a cute message of loving babies just they way they are。 。。。more

Consideration of Instructional Application :This book could be used as an aid in drawing self portraits。 While introducing how we all may look different, have different families, or be from different places, we all still are human。 Having the children draw themselves and understand their beautiful differences would be useful in celebrating diversity。 。。。more

Every day, every where (a repeted phrase) babies do stuff。 The artwork is relatively basic, with a more homgenous color palette that does not seem to hold the attention。 The 14 month old loves the repetition and will say BAYYYBEEEEEES。 HOWEVER, the book is very good for a little one at this age as the depictions are very diverse, featuring people of all colors, a same sex couple, and more。

I’m addicted to reading Everywhere Babies by Susan Meyers。The rhythm is so fun, and it’s so inclusive of all styles of parents & babies。 It’s a nice break from the constant comparisons of growth curves & milestones。

I have been reading this book to my children for over 5 years and I never get tired of it。 Beautifully rhythmic, it incorporates diversity and showcases the love that parents show their children through the simplicity of every day。

The art is fun, but with so much text crammed on to each page this is either meant for older children (3+) or parents as children learning to crawl and walk do not have the attention span to sit so long for each page's rhymes。 The art is fun, but with so much text crammed on to each page this is either meant for older children (3+) or parents as children learning to crawl and walk do not have the attention span to sit so long for each page's rhymes。 。。。more

I think that this book teaches students at a young age how to care and that there are so many of us out there。 Every day there are so many babies born and it is important for students to know that we are all different, I think this would be a good read for the younger ones。

A very cute book。 My baby and 3 yr old LOVE it。

Sweet illustrations and lovely rhyming text about how much babies are loved。 Features illustrations of families of all kinds and skin tones - nuclear, adoptive, same sex parents, single parents, grandparents。 The expressions on some of the babies faces are adorable and display a wide range of emotions。

It rhymes and has a great strong rhythm plus the illustrations have some real incredible detail。 It's visually a little dated, so beware that you'll gulp a little seeing babies in front-facing car seats in the background but overall it's charming and satisfies that fascination with babies that truly little ones have。 It rhymes and has a great strong rhythm plus the illustrations have some real incredible detail。 It's visually a little dated, so beware that you'll gulp a little seeing babies in front-facing car seats in the background but overall it's charming and satisfies that fascination with babies that truly little ones have。 。。。more

Lovely illustrations。 A pleasure to read and my son enjoys the musical rhyme of the writing。

This is one of my favorite board books I've stumbled across at the library。 Babies everywhere are different。。yet the same。 They eat (in different waiys), sleep (in different places), and play (with different types of toys)。 It's short- so you might be able to get through the whole book before the baby crawls away, and for older kids the picture provide plenty of talking points。 One read of this, and you'll want to rush out to find a baby to hug。 This is one of my favorite board books I've stumbled across at the library。 Babies everywhere are different。。yet the same。 They eat (in different waiys), sleep (in different places), and play (with different types of toys)。 It's short- so you might be able to get through the whole book before the baby crawls away, and for older kids the picture provide plenty of talking points。 One read of this, and you'll want to rush out to find a baby to hug。 。。。more

This book is perfect for very young children。 The words and concepts are simple。 The illustrations go perfectly with each description of how babies are and how they live。 I like that on each page, it shows the diversity of every single baby and their family too! It shows that everyone is different which is very neat。

Simply wonderful board book celebrating diversity and the commonality of humankind。 Also all of the illustrations of babies are very real, cute, and hilarious。

A celebration of babies (and their families), this picture-book is absolutely adorable, featuring a simple text from Susan Meyers that will keep younger children entertained, and delightful pencil and watercolor illustrations from Marla Frazee - best known for her work on the Caldecott Honor title, All the World。 There isn't much of a story here, just a simple "list" of activities in which babies engage。 Every page begins: "Every day, everywhere, babies are。。。" and continues with an explorat A celebration of babies (and their families), this picture-book is absolutely adorable, featuring a simple text from Susan Meyers that will keep younger children entertained, and delightful pencil and watercolor illustrations from Marla Frazee - best known for her work on the Caldecott Honor title, All the World。 There isn't much of a story here, just a simple "list" of activities in which babies engage。 Every page begins: "Every day, everywhere, babies are。。。" and continues with an exploration of the happenings which make up a baby's life, from bathing to eating。I picked up Everywhere Babies primarily because I enjoyed Marla Frazee's illustrations so much in All the World, and wanted to see more of her work。 I was not disappointed! The babies here are diverse, both in terms of race and ethnicity, and in terms of the families in which they live - I spied a few same sex couples, some multiracial couples, and parents of all shapes and sizes - and while I agree that it would have been nice for the book to have more of an international feeling (something raised by other reviewers), I also think it's perfectly acceptable for an American children's book to have an American focus。 Leaving that issue aside, this is just a charming title, highly recommended to anyone looking for entertaining books for the infant set, or to fans of Marla Frazee。 。。。more

The rhyme scheme takes a few read throughs to get。 The illustrations are rich and a great starting point for babies without the attention span of all the words。 Love the casual inclusivity。 A lot of the baby-care devices seem really old school to me, in the illustrations。 But I don’t know what car seats were like in 2004。 This is one I renewed a million times from the library before buying my own copy。

A lovely depiction of a diversity of babies and caregivers。 The book shows the myriad of ways babies are cared for, from feeding to carrying to moving around as they grow through the first years of life。 Soothing use of word repetition。 This is a terrific gifting choice for a baby shower or new parent。
