Summary

The dazzling new novel from Nicola Yoon, the New York Times bestselling author of Everything, Everything Natasha: I'm a girl who believes in science and facts。 Not fate。 Not destiny。 Or dreams that will never come true。 I'm definitely not the kind of girl who meets a cute boy on a crowded New York City street and falls in love with him。 Not when my family is twelve hours away from being deported to Jamaica。 Falling in love with him won't be my story。 Daniel: I've always been the good son, the good student, living up to my parents' high expectations。 Never the poet。 Or the dreamer。 But when I see her, I forget about all that。 Something about Natasha makes me think that fate has something much more extraordinary in store_for both of us。 The Universe: Every moment in our lives has brought us to this single moment。 A million futures lie before us。 Which one will come true?

I’m emotionally depleted。 two characters whose love story is bound by the universe while also facing some of the world’s toughest worldly and philosophical conundrums。

At first I wasn't sure id finish this book, I won't lie。 I didn't know how I felt about the extremely short chapters and the perspective shifts with each one。 But the premise of true love sucked me in and once Natasha and Daniel finally met, I couldn't put the book down! I won't give any spoilers, but it's definitely worth a read! Didn't finish this one。 I was getting annoyed with the swearing and sexual jokes (not to mention the romance that happened in。。。 less than a day) and then there was a sex scene。 I didn't do a thorough enough research on the content warnings, I guess。 But anyway, I won't be finishing this one。 Didn't finish this one。 I was getting annoyed with the swearing and sexual jokes (not to mention the romance that happened in。。。 less than a day) and then there was a sex scene。 I didn't do a thorough enough research on the content warnings, I guess。 But anyway, I won't be finishing this one。 。。。more

This is such a cute and easy read which I really needed right now。 It also mildly talked about racism and other social issues。 I read this non-stop。---MILD SPOILERS---The last few chapters broke my heart and then the epilogue just made me sob again。

I ended the book ugly crying in the parking lot of my doctor’s office。 I haven’t read a book like this one in a loooooooong time。 Even for people who aren’t fans of YA, this is a ~must~ read。 It’s got it all and then some。 Holy shit。 Please read this book。

I put this book off for a long time because I found it hard to get into, but once I got into it I saw what everyone meant when they said it was an amazing book。 It was heartwrenching and heartwarming at the same time。 It touched on so many aspects that wove together perfectly。 I didn't particularly like the ending but I do know that it would appeal to a lot of readers。 I put this book off for a long time because I found it hard to get into, but once I got into it I saw what everyone meant when they said it was an amazing book。 It was heartwrenching and heartwarming at the same time。 It touched on so many aspects that wove together perfectly。 I didn't particularly like the ending but I do know that it would appeal to a lot of readers。 。。。more

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it, click here。 This book was one of those books that will have your emotions all over the place, from crying to laughing, In love。 I loved how the author incorporated views about the universe & purpose in life。 I also enjoyed the different racial topics going on during the book。 I only wish the end was different, I want to know more about their life。 Did they end up together, did they talk, where were they going? But overall loved it!?

A lot is packed into a small time period but for me it didn’t work as well as I hoped。

I LOVED THIS! It was so cute! The movie sucks tho。 So, don’t watch it, if you care about your own well-being。 I love this book。 It was so satisfying!! So, I watched the movie first and didn’t like it sooooo obviously I had no interest in reading the book。 So I bought it early last year… and watched the movie… hated it… and didn’t read the book until now。 The reason I did end up picking it up was because my friend and I were reading it together! It was cute。 DANIEL!!!! He was so perfect。 Soooo na I LOVED THIS! It was so cute! If you’re looking for a quick romance that is super fast pace, this book is for you。 I literally thought I was like- 10 pages in when I started when actually I was 50。 It’s just soooo good!!! Read this。 I dare you。 。。。more

I devoured this book。 It is beautifully written。 The side characters were actually my favorite because it shows how little we know about why people do what they do。 Hard to describe how beautiful the themes were。 You just need to read it for yourself。 Oh and a very cute love story。

this book got me back into reading after a long hiatus。 the book feels like a lifetime of stories though it only takes place in a single day。

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it, click here。 This book was a good read although I personally didn’t like the ending, the idea and writing of the book is amazing and I applaud the author for doing such a great job。 The book delivers a lot of messages that I even lost count at this point! If you were to ask me if I like this book or “Everything, Everything” (which is also written by this author” more then I would choose “Everything, Everything” and the reason to that is because I don’t think I was satisfied with the ending of this book。 I ha This book was a good read although I personally didn’t like the ending, the idea and writing of the book is amazing and I applaud the author for doing such a great job。 The book delivers a lot of messages that I even lost count at this point! I absolutely loved this。 I almost cried。 This is a heart wrenching, beautiful story about life, hope and love。 The writing is beautiful and so transformative。 Natasha and Daniels story was so relatable to me in some ways。 Ultimately, this is the perfect book to read if you want a quick, sweet and cute read to make you think and give you a little bit of hope in such a chaotic time。Sannah

This is so SO beautiful and made me feel all amazing about fate and love。 But I just can't get onboard with falling in love with someone at first glance。 Perhaps you can tell a person will be special but love?! But idk, I've never been in love before haha! So I guess it's somewhere between 3 and 4! 50 pages in, and I just couldn't read any more。 The characters seemed kind of annoying to me, the dialouge was odd and I felt myself re-reading many parts, and the weird changes between the two main characters povs and other strangers povs was just so jarring at times。 The chapters were so short- sometimes not even HALF a page, and the pacing seemed slow and boring。 I'm really disappointed in this one because I had such high hopes for it。 But then again, I didn't like the movie- so why did I thi 50 pages in, and I just couldn't read any more。 The characters seemed kind of annoying to me, the dialouge was odd and I felt myself re-reading many parts, and the weird changes between the two main characters povs and other strangers povs was just so jarring at times。 The chapters were so short- sometimes not even HALF a page, and the pacing seemed slow and boring。 I'm really disappointed in this one because I had such high hopes for it。 But then again, I didn't like the movie- so why did I think I'd like the book any better? 🤦‍♀️ 。。。more

Truly a charming story。 I went into this book thinking it would just be a mindless romance to get my mind off my life for a bit, but as cliche as it sounds, I saw myself and my family in the brokenness and healing in this book。 It was way more complex than I thought, and I absolutely loved how things worked out - not the vanilla happy ending that most love stories have。

A great, quick YA read。 I love the theme of fate running throughout and that idea of “what if these events that brought us together hadn’t happened at those exact moments?” The audiobook was read by the same reader of Everything Everything also by Yoon (and a few other books I’ve heard her read) - I love her voice! The other readers helped with the different narrator perspectives, too。

This is one of my top five favourite books of all time for sure。 It's so beautiful, how could it not be? I love the characters and their relatability and chemistry and the philosophical ideas and the chapters with a point of view of a secondary character and a concept of the universe and just the entire book。 I'm feeling pretty overwhelmed right now about how much I liked it so I can't think of anything new to say except I love this book。 Overall, like a thousand/10。 Ugh, I can't wait to reread This is one of my top five favourite books of all time for sure。 It's so beautiful, how could it not be? I'm quite disappointed in this book。 I would probably love it if I were 13。 But as an adult with grown kids, I find both main characters whiny and self-involved。 I certainly don't believe in fate or love at first sight or whatever。 So this simpering tale of first love, between 2 teens who know each other for a whole 12 hours, is the kind of thing I would roll my eyes at if either of them were my kid。 Maybe I'm a grumpy old lady。 I'm ok with that。 I'm quite disappointed in this book。 I would probably love it if I were 13。 But as an adult with grown kids, I find both main characters whiny and self-involved。 I certainly don't believe in fate or love at first sight or whatever。 So this simpering tale of first love, between 2 teens who know each other for a whole 12 hours, is the kind of thing I would roll my eyes at if either of them were my kid。 Maybe I'm a grumpy old lady。 I'm ok with that。 。。。more
