I love the spice and wolf books， but I was never able to get into the manga。 I tried multiple times， but something about the art just stressed me out， although I couldn't put my finger on what。 Still， when I saw this art book at my local comic shop， I told my hubby I wanted it as a Solstice-gift， and I got it！ The art is mostly beautiful， sensual， and fun， although the thing that stressed me out was still there。 Finally， I figured it out！ The placement of Holo's ears。 They're placed pretty much I love the spice and wolf books， but I was never able to get into the manga。 I tried multiple times， but something about the art just stressed me out， although I couldn't put my finger on what。 Still， when I saw this art book at my local comic shop， I told my hubby I wanted it as a Solstice-gift， and I got it！ The art is mostly beautiful， sensual， and fun， although the thing that stressed me out was still there。 Finally， I figured it out！ The placement of Holo's ears。 They're placed pretty much on her forehead， reminding me more of horns than wolf-ears！ That's the only reason I'm not giving this book a 5/5 star rating。 The short comic at the end was also a lot of fun。 There wasn't really a story， but it did show how the life of a traveling group can be， and how helpfulness pays back。 And now I want to reread the book-series。。。 All 20 books。 。。。more

The glorious return of Holo the Wise Wolf。。。as well as Lawrence with Col。Are you looking for a quick book to round out your book list this year？ Are you a fan of the Spice and Wolf Manga？ Well I got a little something you might be interested in then。 :）From the illustrator of the Spice and Wolf manga we are treated to an assortment of illustrations gathered from 10 years worth of work when Spice and Wolf was being published （thus the name of the book I believe。） The book itself is a large magazi The glorious return of Holo the Wise Wolf。。。as well as Lawrence with Col。Are you looking for a quick book to round out your book list this year？ Are you a fan of the Spice and Wolf Manga？ Well I got a little something you might be interested in then。 :）From the illustrator of the Spice and Wolf manga we are treated to an assortment of illustrations gathered from 10 years worth of work when Spice and Wolf was being published （thus the name of the book I believe。） The book itself is a large magazine sized paperback book （with a sturdy dust cover reminding me of the cover fiasco of the light novels） and to my amusement is printed from right to left just like the manga。 Of the illustrations inside I am sure if you followed the original series that you will be aware that there are the occasional illustrations that push the bounds of the erotic and they certainly did not miss out on a chance to share several such images though nothing within this book can be really defined as hentai。 If you are looking for information on your favorite illustrations page 106 to 110 have thumbnails and Keito Koume's comments about the art found earlier in the book。 For my part I have seen some of the body pillows of Holo for sale in the past on pages 90-93 and I had no idea Keito Koume actually did the art for them。 :）Yet with all of this beautiful artwork getting to see the exclusive one shot story of "Wolf & The Sweet Scent of Baking Bread" thrilled me even more as Lawrence， Holo， and Col take a break from their travels to help some local neighbors handle a little bit of problem。 Don't worry about Holo's sexy scenes though。 Thanks to her wise wolf powers the convenient placement of hair and cloth will prevent her from showing too much even as she tries out Lawrence's idea。 :） 。。。more

If you love the manga adaption of Spice & Wolf （or just the series in general）， and don’t mind a bit of fan service， then this book is wonderful。 Big， glossy， high quality pictures of waifu Holo。 What’s not to love？
