This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it， click here。 quite a good ending to the series！ i do wish we had more of winter and jacin though， i felt that as the books went on they became less and less about the title character and more about the larger story at play。 levana died too fast， i thought。 i did love winter’s madness and all the ups and downs the story took。

This last book was packed！ Much like the other books， while titled Winter it will very much was predominantly Cinder's story。 We got the addition of Jacin and Winter， to add to the growing cast of Cinder， Kai， Iko， Scarlet， Wolf， Cress， and Thorne。 As expected， that caused this story to bloat a bit since each of those characters had at least one or more chapters told from their perspective and focusing on their romances or struggles。 Thankfully a lot of their stories were fairly intertwined so i This last book was packed！ Much like the other books， while titled Winter it will very much was predominantly Cinder's story。 We got the addition of Jacin and Winter， to add to the growing cast of Cinder， Kai， Iko， Scarlet， Wolf， Cress， and Thorne。 As expected， that caused this story to bloat a bit since each of those characters had at least one or more chapters told from their perspective and focusing on their romances or struggles。 Thankfully a lot of their stories were fairly intertwined so it was more of a change of perspective rather than 9 different storylines。This book finally delves into the lore and characters of Luna。 You get to know how the politics work， the unique challenges they face， and more and more how crazy Levana and her thaumaturges are。This is definitely a fairytale， but there is a surprising depth of the horrors of war， especially at the hands of those who can make allies kill each other。 There are whole swathes of resolution that kinda requires some suspension of disbelief by the end in order to help reach that happily ever after。 Each set of main characters are of course， in relationships with each other - standard YA fare。 The climax of the story was pretty satisfying given how much of a threat was built up around it。 And the book doesn't actually give you all the answers for what happens next so that is kinda fun to leave some of that to the reader's imagination。I definitely stayed up too late for too many nights on this one since I had a hard time putting it down！ 。。。more

This was the last book in the series and my god it had me hooked， seeing that i literally read it in 2 sittings which is not usually for me anymore so i just zipped right through it。 I must say i found this to be very exciting， and very tense in terms of what will go wrong this time which was common occurrence for them which resulted in them always getting divided from each other which was annoying at times if i am being honest with you seeing that these characters have so much chemistry with ea This was the last book in the series and my god it had me hooked， seeing that i literally chemistry with each other in my eyes which is why it was a joy to read the first few pages seeing that they were the calm before the storm。The book is the culmination of all the couples futures that have been introduced in this series， with me loving where everyone ended up and who they ended up with。 I must say i think every couple is suited towards each other and are matched really well with each other， with me not being able to image them without anyone else so the couples fit well and go together well which is credited to the great writing that they have which allows you to be able to feel how attached they are to each other。 When speaking about the group i must say i really do love all of them and have come attached to them all， with me having a stronger pull towards other compared to others but i must say the crew have become my crew with defeo wanting to join them on their adventure。 I must say i love the captain though， seeing that i just find him so funny with me loving seeing him get his girl but i am so going miss cinder and his interaction seeing them two are just so funny to read。This book we are introduced to the crazy princess known as winter who i must say i really liked， seeing that i just loved that she was so mischievous with her antics and i loved how caring she is when it comes to the lower class which were two characters traits that really pulled me into her story。 This story also allowed us to see the love story between winter and her guard which i think was explored in great depth， with us really being to see the deep love and the deep connection they have with each other so it was great to see them get their happy ending。This book did a great when it comes to highlighting the power that a person can have over the people minds， in a good way when it comes to starting something in order to bring forward a new world order that will allow everyone to benefit and it allowed us to see how a person message can spread and catch like wildfire， to the extent that the message can become so strong that you dont even need the person their anymore in order to go forward so it shows the impact that a person can have on the world and the balance of that world。I must say i loved seeing lavenna rattled seeing that she so often have had the upper hand， that it was great to see our characters always being able to find out a way around her tricks and a find way where every trick she used came off short， seeing that none of them proved to be able to stop our crew from their progression towards ending her reign。 So it was great to see levenna lose that kind of power and edge， seeing that all their little skirmish so far has been won by levanne with our group winning some of them but always in a way where they come up short too seeing that they would always lose a crew member The last battle of this book really showed how a battle of that size with that many people really would play out in reality， with it really showing how crazy it is and how chaotic it can be when you are in the thick of it and just trying to survive which is why i was defeo worried for my crew seeing that one mistake could be a fatal error for a character to make but thank god our crew got through it， with a few battered bruises and scrapes but hi that is expected when it comes to a battle of that size。This ending was end of our falsh queen reign with most of the characters having a just reason to finish her off， but i was so delighted that it was cinder seeing that this series started off with her and should end with her and it makes the most sense for cinder and levanna to go against each other last seeing that it is a battle that has been built up so much in the previous books with so much bad blood and history behind these two characters relationship which only added context to the battle which made it 10 tens times better。 This battle was not a battle of fists or action but was a battle of the minds and willpower， with both levanne and cinder really having to push their lunar gift to the maximum in order to get one over each other but i was worried that our cinder was going to lose， seeing that levanne defeo had the upper hand for a while their before cinder was able to get that lucky shot that was able to be get rid of our false gueen。 Our cinder did put up a great fight but i say it was a lucky shot， seeing that i do think levanne would have been able to beat cinder but cinder had factors that allowed her to have extra protection 。。。more

3 starsThe Lunar Chronicles was a decent tetralogy and this was a decent finale。 It was entertaining and fun to read， and I liked it， but not as much as I LOVED Cress。 Don't get me wrong， this isn't a bad book。 It tied together various plot points， and gave all the characters' stories a proper ending， but its quality was subpar compared to Cress and Cinder。 Scarlet （the book） was my least favourite of the series， but this book is now tied in place with that。 Both of these books aren't bad per se 3 starsThe Lunar Chronicles was a decent tetralogy and this was a decent finale。 It was entertaining and fun to read， and I liked it， but not as much as I LOVED Cress。 Don't get me wrong， this isn't a bad book。 It tied together various plot points， and gave all the characters' stories a proper ending， but its quality was subpar compared to Cress and Cinder。 Scarlet （the book） was my least favourite of the series， but this book is now tied in place with that。 Both of these books aren't bad per se; they just lack the charm that the other two books in this series had。I was a bit bored throughout this book， and I think the length contributed to that。 This book could have been about 200 pages shorter and a lot more concise， and wouldn't have lost out on any of the action。 ----Here are some of the things I loved， though:» I love that Marissa Meyer saw a picture of a Black model eating an apple， and decided to use that as her main character for the Snow White retelling -- Winter。 I can't stress on how much I loved that。 Being fair is not necessarily equal to being pretty， as any POC who's experienced shadism/colourism can tell you， and this inclusion feels good。» Winter was a delightful character， and I loved how she gelled so well with the rest of the group。 She has a heart of gold， and I felt like she and I were brilliant friends。 She truly cares about her people and is what a leader should be。» Queen Levana， while a terrible leader， was an intriguing villain， and I can't wait to read the spin-off that's based on her。 She's absolutely cruel， without any empathy， but seems to have a solid back story; it looks like she really did love Winter's dad。 I need to know more about this。» On the romance front， Cress and Captain Thorne were the highlight for me。 If Carswell Thorne can't have me， I'm at least glad he has Cress to give him company。 ;）----This wasn't a bad ending to the series， and though I won't give more than 3 stars for this book or series， I still think it was entertaining and fun， and worth reading through at least once。（The audiobook was narrated by Rebecca Soler， and I'm already jumping onto Meyer's Heartless because her narration is just flawless。） 。。。more

4。5⭐️/5⭐️Holy cow this took longer than I thought it would！ I listened to the first three books in the series on audiobook。 I couldn’t find an audiobook version of Winter， so impatient me had to go out and buy it。 I probably would’ve finished the book sooner if I had listened to it， but who knows。 I’m so happy I tried this series by Marissa Meyer。 It’s definitely different than what I normally read， but I love the originality and Iko is hands down the best character in the whole series👠。

Cuesta hacer una reseña de un libro tan largo， en el que pasan tantísimas cosas y que he disfrutado tanto。 La saga Crónicas Lunares ha ido sin dudas creciendo libro tras libro， culminando en Winter de una forma fantástica。 Como retelling de Blancanieves， me ha parecido muy interesante ver como ha adaptado la autora la historia y como la ha hecho encajar en el mundo futurístico y distópico que ha creado， quedando todo muy natural y realista。 La trama está llena de acción ya que no paran de pasar Cuesta hacer una reseña de un libro tan largo， en el que pasan tantísimas cosas y que he disfrutado tanto。 La saga Crónicas Lunares ha ido sin dudas creciendo libro tras libro， culminando en Winter de una forma fantástica。 Como retelling de Blancanieves， me ha parecido muy interesante ver como ha adaptado la autora la historia y como la ha hecho encajar en el mundo futurístico y distópico que ha creado， quedando todo muy natural y realista。 La trama está llena de acción ya que no paran de pasar cosas y algo muy remarcable es que contamos con varios narradores， lo que no solo le da más interés a la historia y nos permite conocer más y mejor a los personajes， sino que además le aporta dinamismo y， sobre todo， muchísima dimensión al contar con muchos puntos de vista， lo que nos permite saber todo lo que está ocurriendo en diferentes sitios a la vez。 Engancha mucho， gracias en parte a ese ritmo continuo de acontecimientos， que se combina con una buena dosis de nueva información， y a que conforme avanzamos， necesitamos cada vez más y más， necesitamos saber que pasará con los personajes y como acabará todo。 Si bien es cierto que algunas cosas son algo previsibles， en líneas generales me ha parecido que la trama es bastante sorprendente， aunque el sorprender al lector es algo secundario a estas alturas de la historia。 Normalmente， en libros de fantasía， las relaciones amorosas no me suelen convencer pero en esta saga no puedo estar más cautivada por todas y cada una de las historias de amor que hay。 Mi favorita es la de Cress y Thorne pero todas tienen su encanto， todas aportan algo a la trama y lo más importante， todas tienen su personalidad， su desarrollo y evolución y funcionan por si solas a la perfección。 En cuanto al final， me ha gustado mucho como se cierra y se desarrolla todo， aunque me ha parecido un poco light。 Es verdad que tiene bastante acción pero creo que todo se acaba por resolver demasiado deprisa， dejando cierto regusto a poco y con la sensación de que podría haber sido un poco más épico。 Sobre personajes， más allá de si me caen mejor o peor， lo que tienen todos en común es que están fantásticamente construidos y desarrollados y cada uno cumple con su función en la trama a la perfección。 A quienes mejor conocemos es a los protagonistas y narradores， en los que vemos una evolución y un crecimiento brutal pero sin perder nunca su esencia ni su forma de ser。 。。。more

I finally finished the Lunar Chronicles and the ending was soo cool！！ Meyers really wrapped the whole story up amazingly。Like always， the characters were so distinct from each other and interesting to read about！ Winter was very different by being a Lunar who actually grew up in Luna but also because of her interesting character that refused to use her glamour resulting in her going crazy， even though she knew what she was doing to herself。 I also realised how much the older characters developed I finally finished the Lunar Chronicles and the ending was soo cool！！ Meyers really wrapped the whole story up amazingly。Like always， the characters were so distinct from each other and interesting to read about！ Winter was very different by being a Lunar who actually grew up in Luna but also because of her interesting character that refused to use her glamour resulting in her going crazy， even though she knew what she was doing to herself。 I also realised how much the older characters developed and changed throughout the series。 One big change was Iko （an escort droid） but there were lots of subtle changes with characters。 There were some sweet new friendships made like Winter & Scarlet and Cress & Jacin！ The book had lots of humour but at the same time created suspense fir the reader。 There were lots of times I knew it had to end well but kept wondering how it would reach that point。 Another thing is that it was so good to finally actually learn more about Luna itself and how it is as well as a bit of a backstory of Queen Levana that gave her more perspective。In the series in each different ‘part’ there is a quote from the original story which I really liked。 Reading this also made me realise I forgot things about these princesses！One thing I feel Meyer could have done is add more culture in each book。 Because each book is set in a different country it was a good opportunity to show more about the place but she did still add some cultural inputs。 Also the book was quite long but when I finished I understood that the length was kind of crucial。 In short， I loved this series and recommend it to everyone because it was fresh and new， but nostalgic to the original stories at the same time 😊 。。。more
