Summary

In this third book in the Lunar Chronicles, Cinder and Captain Thorne are fugitives on the run, now with Scarlet and Wolf in tow。 Together, they're plotting to overthrow Queen Levana and her army。

Their best hope lies with Cress, a girl imprisoned on a satellite since childhood who's only ever had her netscreens as company。 All that screen time has made Cress an excellent hacker。 Unfortunately, she's just received orders from Levana to track down Cinder and her handsome accomplice。

When a daring rescue of Cress goes awry, the group is separated。 Cress finally has her freedom, but it comes at a higher price。 Meanwhile, Queen Levana will let nothing prevent her marriage to Emperor Kai。 Cress, Scarlet, and Cinder may not have signed up to save the world, but they may be the only hope the world has。

3。5!The beginning was really annoying for me, I kept getting bothered by all of the characters poor decision making skills。 Also Cress is adorable but the damsel thing got old REAL fast。 I can't blame her though because。。。 Rapunzel。。。 but like I was annoyed。 I loved it by the end。 I love break in to super security places, I love running from danger, and, even though they were stupid sometimes, I love the characters。 Who isn't a little stupid sometimes? I liked this better than Scarlet, but not 3。5!The beginning was really annoying for me, I kept getting bothered by all of the characters poor decision making skills。 Also Cress is adorable but the damsel thing got old REAL fast。 I can't blame her though because。。。 Rapunzel。。。 but like I was annoyed。 I loved it by the end。 I love break in to super security places, I love running from danger, and, even though they were stupid sometimes, I love the characters。 Who isn't a little stupid sometimes?

The third book was a good continuation of the series。 However, I felt that some the more action packed scenes were rushed through in a few paragraphs and some of the other parts of the book seemed to drag on。 But still really enjoying the series and looking forward to reading book 4。

I am incredibly excited to read Winter to see how everything plays out, but I’ll be sad when it’s over and time to say goodbye to these characters。 Considering how much I loved Cress, I am super thrilled to read Winter and have high expectations!! 。。。more

I think that this is my favorite book so far。 So much going on, I couldn't wait to get back to it。 Thorne made me laugh with his "Okay, I'm blind now。 Give me a stick。" attitude。 I think that this is my favorite book so far。 So much going on, I couldn't wait to get back to it。 Thorne made me laugh with his "Okay, I'm blind now。 Give me a stick。" attitude。 。。。more

12 hours was worth it。 I really like how Cress was developed as a character along with Thorn。 While Cinder is still not my favorite, I like how she grew through this book。 I also really like that each female lead is so different as we meet them。 They are plagued by different things and each has their own strengths and weaknesses。 Marissa Meyer is really great at having a very diverse set of characters and I really appreciate that。 I sorely missed Scarlett as she was absent through a lot of the a 12 hours was worth it。 I really like how Cress was developed as a character along with Thorn。 While Cinder is still not my favorite, I like how she grew through this book。 I also really like that each female lead is so different as we meet them。 They are plagued by different things and each has their own strengths and weaknesses。 Marissa Meyer is really great at having a very diverse set of characters and I really appreciate that。 I sorely missed Scarlett as she was absent through a lot of the adventure。 However I can't wait to see what role she plays in Winter and I can't wait to learn more about Wolf。 。。。more

I like how she introduces the title character for the next book just a little bit in the previous one。 Still a good strong clean story line and I'm looking forward to Winter。 Although, even if she didn't have scissors, why she can't she chop her hair a bit at a time, she must've cut her nails somehow? This was perfect。 I was able to read a good chunk of Cress while on a trip to Michigan, and it ended up being an amazing ride because of it! No pun intended。 I don’t want to say too much about it because I think y’all need to read and find out for yourselves。 The last third of the book was fantastic! Wow, this book is a step up in the series。 Things are really starting to happen。 I love the characters and how they all interact and fit together。 I really want to give this five stars because I enjoyed it so much, but the writing and plot are not quite polished enough for me to justify it。 It's a good YA sci-fi series, but nothing super groundbreaking, and it can be a bit too predictable for my tastes。 Additionally, so much happened in this book that we didn't really get to explore all of the e Wow, this book is a step up in the series。 Things are really starting to happen。 I love the characters and how they all interact and fit together。 I really want to give this five stars because I enjoyed it so much, but the writing and plot are not quite polished enough for me to justify it。 It's a good YA sci-fi series, but nothing super groundbreaking, and it can be a bit too predictable for my tastes。 Additionally, so much happened in this book that we didn't really get to explore all of the emotional repercussions of events in as much depth as I would have liked。 。。。more
