This is a review I've postponed in the hope that my initial reaction would change。 Since I finished Into Temptation， however， that hasn't altered。 I struggled with reading the Irish slang as I felt like I had to mentally translate （and Google） to gain clarity。 While there were a few standout moments I found this story to be agonizingly slow-paced for most of the book， and one of the most crucial parts of the story felt too anti-climatic。 The chemistry between Babydoll and Punky stayed true and i This is a review I've postponed in the hope that my initial reaction would change。 Since I finished Into Temptation， however， that hasn't altered。 I struggled with reading the Irish slang as I felt like I had to mentally translate （and Google） to gain clarity。 While there were a few standout moments I found this story to be agonizingly slow-paced for most of the book， and one of the most crucial parts of the story felt too anti-climatic。 The chemistry between Babydoll and Punky stayed true and it was intensified in this story。 Monica always delivers chemistry and steam- and I love this about her writing as I do her mastery at creating well-scripted and vivid scenes。 Hannah has been a surprising character that I enjoyed getting to know。 It was painful to see the dynamics of the friendship between Punky， Rory， and Cian change， however， all things considered， it's more than understandable。 Punky started with so much promise， however， he left me feeling disappointed with his tiresome martyr-like heroics。 The darkness he carries from his early childhood still haunts him but the years he spent in prison seem lost on him。 Compared to book one， this book felt like a bridge book to the upcoming conclusion which I'm looking forward to as I'm certain that the trilogy when complete will be a more cohesive story。 3。5 Stars 。。。more

This is the continuation of Thy Kingdom Come and all the dark and danger continues in this book。 There was a lot of time that passed with the first book and the second book so a lot has changed。 The characters have to navigate all these changes， most importantly the return of Punky。 We get deeper into the story including all the dark， deep secrets and truths。 Monica James has done a great job creating this high intense story。 I am really excited to see what will happen next！
