"Honor is dead。。。。 But I'll see what I can do。"Ok, has there ever been a more epic line spoken? I can just imagine this scene playing out in my head like an HBO show a la Game of Thrones, except I trust Brandon Sanderson to actually end this series in a satisfying way。 Even though this is my second read through, it was still amazing。This book is just so dang good it's ridiculous。 I'm sure there will be a third read in the near future。 "Honor is dead。。。。 But I'll see what I can do。"Ok, has there ever been a more epic line spoken? 。。。more

Okay!~ The trend I am seeing is that all the Sanderson books I have read get better and better as they go! At this rate, I might need a 6th-star rating just to cater to his progression。After finishing Oathbringer。 I will have to say that I enjoyed the second book the most。 It felt that the writing and pace were much smoother。 The information and world-building were scattered perfectly without any form of lumps that are difficult to swallow。 I definitely enjoyed how Sanderson moved his characters Okay!~ The trend I am seeing is that all the Sanderson books I have read get better and better as they go! This is the second part of the second instalment in The Stormlight Archive series。This is an accurate depiction of me trying to accurately describe how incredible this book is:The first book was packed full of magical information for the reader and the characters to learn。 I had assumed that the education in this series was complete but it proved to be only the beginning as even more background and history concerning the spren, the Knights Radiant and a whole host of other entities, as well as h This is the second part of the second instalment in The Stormlight Archive series。This is an accurate depiction of me trying to accurately describe how incredible this book is:The first book was packed full of magical information for the reader and the characters to learn。 I had assumed that the education in this series was complete but it proved to be only the beginning as even more background and history concerning the spren, the Knights Radiant and a whole host of other entities, as well as how to manage or use them for future purpose, was imparted。Much of this information was learnt through Shallan, one of the many protagonists that featured here。 Shallan was present in the previous instalment yet her role in the overarching story-line remained unknown to me then。 She was always an interesting character but here she came into her own, by overcoming the obstacles placed in her way, and became a truly lovable one。 Not, however, one devoid of flaws, but this only made her more authentic and relatable。Kaladin was the other primary protagonist。 He was the individual I originally most bonded with, and who now must only take a share of my affections。 The responsibilities placed upon him at book one's close were heightened here and his character was far more overwrought and overburdened because of it。 I shared new information with Shallan but how to utilise them came largely from Kaladin。 This made both perspectives not only highly entertaining but also as key as each other in seeing the plot through to fruition。I remain as excited as ever to continue on with this epic fantasy adventure and am yet to find a Sanderson book that does not make my jaw drop open in awe of his brilliance。 。。。more

There is a passage in this book that I will describe as the most engrossing piece of text I have ever read。

One thing that was very well developed in this volume were the character relationships。 I’m not just mentioning the obvious triangle that exists, but all the relationships between the main cast。 It was so interesting to see their nuances and the evolution of their ties。 We’re slowly building up to a big climax and there are so many influencing factors that you try to absorb it all and not miss any possible hint of foreshadowing。 The main revelations that occur toward the end were so satisfying a One thing that was very well developed in this volume were the character relationships。 I’m not just mentioning the obvious triangle that exists, but all the relationships between the main cast。 It was so interesting to see their nuances and the evolution of their ties。 We’re slowly building up to a big climax and there are so many influencing factors that you try to absorb it all and not miss any possible hint of foreshadowing。 The main revelations that occur toward the end were so satisfying and it was great to see some of the characters come to their realizations of their own accord。 I was extremely happy to see the return of one of my favourite characters。I believe this to be the volume with the least amount of worldbuilding, mainly because at this point most of the world is well established。 I really enjoy the way Sanderson writes about mental illness and the characters' insecurities。 。。。more

I wont talk about events within the books, but i can say that this was just what i needed。 So filled with emotion that it had me going back and forth like a proper jojo。 Loved it。 Already ordered the next books of the series。 Always been more of a Sci-fi fan than Fantasy, but Brandon Sanderson has absolutely dragged me knee deep into fantasy books。

HELLO? i mean hell we have had like 15+ povs already and this was only the second book。。。 i die。 but my death will be worth it because the SA is a masterpiece already <3<3 kaladin <3 [quickly closes the '3 Ways To Cope With Being In Love With a Fictional Character' wikihow tab] he was so facking cool in this book。 when he said 'Honor is dead but I'll see what I can do。' WTAF。 and 'You sent him to the sky to die, but the sky and the winds are mine。 I claim them, as I now claim your life。' ?!?!!!? have you ever read a single line that's more epic than that? No。 you have not。 the way he manages to keep growing stronger both in terms of his physical powers and skills but also his mental strength。。。 how he struggles to make the right choices because he puts so much pressure on his own shoulders and feels like even failing once means that he has failed as a protector all together 。。。。。 while still fighting his own demons。。。。 learning to trust others even though he's been betrayed so many times。。。 he's such a perfect character。。。 i cry。。shallan。 i was honestly not sure what to make of her during wok。。。 but she completely won me over。 she is SO GOOD。 i'm seriously obsessed with her now i love how she's finally facing her past because it's allowing her to grow and become so much stronger。 she's so smart and courageous i adore her and i'm glad everyone in this book adores her too <3adolin。 YOU。 AGAIN。 fuck you for making me cry so much you insolent fucker。 ok just kidding。 i mean i did cry a lot because of him。 But that's on me。 what he did for kal。。。 iykyk。。 let me pull out this quote that haunts me for real:'Yeah, well,' Kaladin said, 'I’ll try to hold myself back from going skipping across the plateau in joy。'Adolin grinned。 'I’d pay to see that。''Me skipping?' 'You happy,' Adolin said, laughing。yep i will die。 he is an angel -_- i feel like he will have a Lot to deal with in oathbringer and i can't wait to see how he handles it。 dw tho adolin babe if u need a kiss on your head i am here for youdalinar is still a dilf wit is still the fucking GOAT。 his best quotes in this book were the following:1) 'Why hasn't anyone killed him yet?''Dumb luck,' Wit said。 'In that I’m lucky you’re all so dumb。'2) 'I don't tell those kinds of lies。 You know that。 It's what you find so annoying about me。'She inspected him, then sighed。 'It is part of what I find so annoying about you, Wit。 Only a very small part of a vast, vast river。''You only say that because you don't know me very well。''Doubtful。''No, really。 If you did know me, that river of annoyance would be an ocean, obviously。'also s/o to shallan giving him a big hug (deserve) <3 <3 <3 。。。more

Ok, this series is seriously hotting up and book 4 has been the best yet。 So many moments that forced out honest gasps or cheers from this sceptical husk (me) and it feels like the series is only just beginning。 The world has been masterfully built, now to watch it being as masterfully taken apart。。 or saved? Maybe。

Book 2 done and truthfully I’m still processing。 I didn’t quite enjoy this as much as I did The Way of Kings, partly because the book focuses quite a bit on Shallan’s story and I’m not all that crazy about her。 She was so annoying ( actually rolled my eyes a time or two) and although she definitely improves from the first book, it’s a slow process and it seems to take a long while for her to get there。 But all the characters have interesting arcs and growth and it was very satisfying to see it a Book 2 done and truthfully I’m still processing。 I didn’t quite enjoy this as much as I did The Way of Kings, partly because the book focuses quite a bit on Shallan’s story and I’m not all that crazy about her。 She was so annoying ( actually rolled my eyes a time or two) and although she definitely improves from the first book, it’s a slow process and it seems to take a long while for her to get there。 But all the characters have interesting arcs and growth and it was very satisfying to see it all come together in the end。 It’s an incredible world Sanderson has created with characters I would think about and worry for as I went about my day and as a reader that’s gold for me。 。。。more
