So， I read through reviews before I read this book and saw that a lot of people weren't thrilled with it。 I read it anyway。 And I thought it was a decent thriller。 The premise was intriguing， and the idea of the Other People being something real is actually pretty creepy。 The only issue I really had with the book was the supernatural issue--it just didn't seem to fit。 I'm all for supernatural thrillers， but this aspect if the story just didn't do it for me。 So， I read through reviews before I read this book and saw that a lot of people weren't thrilled with it。 I read it anyway。 And I thought it was a decent thriller。 The premise was intriguing， and the idea of the Other People being something real is actually pretty creepy。 The only issue I really had with the book was the supernatural issue--it just didn't seem to fit。 I'm all for supernatural thrillers， but this aspect if the story just didn't do it for me。 。。。more

Hmm。 Not sure how I feel about this one。 There was a lot of good but it felt too quick for its content; like， the focus on The Other People seems like it could have been better presented in a longer， more deeply-told story。 As it is， everything here seemed kind of rushed， and half-built。

While it took a little while to figure out how these seemingly unrelated characters were connected to the story， once it got going it was very hard to put down。 Short chapters ensured a pacey read and a very cool concept was brilliantly executed。 Thoroughly entertaining。 One star taken off for too many coincidences to drive the story。 But really this is fiction so there is some suspension of belief required。 This is my third book by this author and I look forward to reading The Burning Girls。
