i enjoyed reading it so much and it was fast paced and fun， it had me so captivated。 all i wanted to know was what happens next。 it has such a cute romance， and warner is *chefs kiss*， the action and plot/plot twists are amazing！ its my first dystopian book and it on my list of favorite books <3

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it， click here。 I really enjoyed this book。 I’ve been putting it off for a few years just because I thought it was cheesy but I was genuinely surprised。 I do not trust Adam at all。 If anything happens to James I don’t think I will be able to survive。 And Kenji is my favorite character。 Warren is so bad but I know a little bit about the book series where I know how things kind of go but I’m excited to see how that developsOverall 9。8/10

I wasn’t sure what I was expecting from this book but to find Warner a total psycho wasn’t it。 The writing was also a let down and just 。。 I feel like I just read a book and didn’t read it at all at the same time？ And if that wasn’t horrible enough， Kenji says bro every other sentence and that’s the most annoying thing ever， especially since I started this series because of him 。 Hope the next one gets better

2。5 ⭐️For me， Shatter Me could be summed up in one word: UNDERWHELMING。 Prior to starting， I've heard pretty mixed things， so I didn't have high expectations。 I also had no idea what this book is about other than who the main characters/ships are。 For a majority of the book， I was bored and I actually considered DNF'ing， but I have all the books in the series， so I HAD to finish。There are some parts that I liked: this is dystopian WITH fantasy elements， something I don't think I've read much of， 2。5 ⭐️For me， Shatter Me could be summed up in one word: UNDERWHELMING。 Prior to starting， I've heard pretty mixed things， so I didn't have high expectations。 I also had no idea what this book is about other than who the main characters/ships are。 For a majority of the book， I was bored and I actually considered DNF'ing， but I have all the books in the series， so I HAD to finish。There are some parts that I liked: this is dystopian WITH fantasy elements， something I don't think I've read much of， and I am still interested enough in where the story could go。 I think there's a lot of room for character development， so that's something I am also looking forward to。However， I found this underwhelming for a multitude of reasons: the writing style is NOT for me at all， the main characters are bland， the plot is quite predictable， and the main ship is too insta-love for my taste。 From the get go， I am not a big fan of the writing。 I know it's a stylistic choice but I just did not like it。 The amount of slashes and repetition lowkey drove me nuts。 In addition， Juliette feels like she has no personality whatsoever。 Yet， it's not just her， it's also Adam。 I don't know， I was just not invested in them as characters or as a couple because of the whole insta-love。 Still， I hope to see more character development in Juliette in the later books。 Warner and Kenji are the only interesting characters for me and I cannot wait to see their character progression， especially for Warner because everyone seems to be a simp for him。Most importantly， the plot is very much beginner YA dystopia/fantasy。 It's too simplistic for me， but I'm sure I would have enjoyed this a lot more if I read this when I was younger。 It kind of reminds me of Shadow and Bone because I also found its plot super simple and predictable。Overall， I will not be picking up the next book YET。 I feel like I need to take a break because I don't want to fall into a reading slump， but I will still continue reading this series。 I heard that it gets better， so I have some hope for the next books。 :）） 。。。more
