It does get repetitive and boring in the first half but in the second half of the book Minvervini really lays out his immense knowledge about trading。 Minervini's book is like the bible for stock traders and investors。 I think it is an essential read for anyone thinking of investing/trading and would like their hand held through the process。 It does get repetitive and boring in the first half but in the second half of the book Minvervini really lays out his immense knowledge about trading。 Minervini's book is like the bible for stock traders and investors。 I think it is an essential read for anyone thinking of investing/trading and would like their hand held through the process。 。。。more

In a vacuum, this book is amazing! Minervini's style of writing is really simple, which is great to understand complex concepts like portfolio positioning, risk management etcUnfortunately, because I read his first book as well (and re-read it just before I took on this one), this book becomes quite repetitive。 Some sections are even verbatim copy of the previous book。 Probably the last couple of sections are the real value added if you read his first book。If you haven't read his first book, thi In a vacuum, this book is amazing! For many years i read so many book about investment, but most of the content i read is on topic of Value investment and fundamental investment。 I used to think that technical analysis or graph-based speculation are just a way of gambling。 Until i start reading some books on this topic, i found that when i open my mind and start to practice this strategy, it help me improve my investment return and especially make me more calm when facing unexpected event。This book is by far my 4th or 5th books i For many years i read so many book about investment, but most of the content i read is on topic of Value investment and fundamental investment。 I used to think that technical analysis or graph-based speculation are just a way of gambling。 Until i start reading some books on this topic, i found that when i open my mind and start to practice this strategy, it help me improve my investment return and especially make me more calm when facing unexpected event。This book is by far my 4th or 5th books in this topic, and it is so good that make me see a clear picture in a many question that i don’t understand reading others before。In short, Risk-Reward planning and buy-selling point are key concept。 。。。more

Golden!Contrary to popular opinion, I read this second book of his first, rather than the first one: Trade like Stock Market Wizard。 I'm just too itchy for this 2nd book as they say it was the best。 Though there were unfamiliar terms, such as the SEPA System, it didn't hinder me from understanding the concept I was learning。All I can say is I hope I read this long before。 Learned a lot! I should always go with a plan。 Golden!Contrary to popular opinion, I read this second book of his first, rather than the first one: Trade like Stock Market Wizard。 I'm just too itchy for this 2nd book as they say it was the best。 Though there were unfamiliar terms, such as the SEPA System, it didn't hinder me from understanding the concept I was learning。All I can say is I hope I read this long before。 Learned a lot! Mark's first book and second book should be read together to better understand the SEPA concept and his trading psychology。 But I felt the second book was mostly summary of first book and only Selling of stocks (How, When and Where) is mostly useful in this book。。。rest of the material is copy of first book。。。anyway still this book is one of best for trading。 Mark's first book and second book should be read together to better understand the SEPA concept and his trading psychology。 But I felt the second book was mostly summary of first book and only Selling of stocks (How, When and Where) is mostly useful in this book。。。rest of the material is copy of first book。。。anyway still this book is one of best for trading。 。。。more

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it, click here。 My third and possibly favorite book from Mark。 I would say this is a simpler and shorter version of his ideas but to fully grasp his methods one will have to read his other books as well。 Absolutely loved the interview section at the end of the book where several actionable NLP tips were introduced。 My top 10:-1) The more disruptions and disappointments that occur after you buy a stock, the more you have to admit that the trade is not working。2) You need to associate pleasure with small losses a My third and possibly favorite book from Mark。 I would say this is a simpler and shorter version of his ideas but to fully grasp his methods one will have to read his other books as well。 Absolutely loved the interview section at the end of the book where several actionable NLP tips were introduced。 My top 10:-1) The more disruptions and disappointments that occur after you buy a stock, the more you have to admit that the trade is not working。2) You need to associate pleasure with small losses and pain with large losses。3) Growth comes from having the courage to look at the difficult times and dissect what went wrong。4) Just because the index numbers are green and the arrows are pointing up doesn't mean that the stocks you trade are in a buyable position。5) Know what you need to know about the stocks you're buying and be prepared for every outcome before you even enter a trade。6) Developing self control will train you to listen and trust the market, not your 'gut'。 Your intuition has no business in your trading。 Personal feelings are seldom a substitute for facts。7) Take focus off the scoreboard。 Focus on being the best trader and concentrate on making every decision a quality choice。8) Before you trade, review what happened the day before。 Start the trading day with three questions- what went great, what were the lessons learned, and how am i going to improve。9) When you take a small loss in accordance with your rules, you celebrate。 You want to emotionally stimulate your body so that you feel that taking a small loss is a huge victory。10) A positive mental attitude of state is built every day, based on what you feed your mind, what you choose to focus on, what you say to yourself and how determined you are。 。。。more

I think these books are interesting, because they spend so much time on character development。 Not what I had expected the first time reading one。

As usual from what you can expect from Mark's previous books, this book is no exception, he openly shared his trading tactics and mindsets。 This book contains no BS, no repetitions apart from some concept further reinforced from his previous books。 A lot of actionable and insightful things to further investigate。 A great reference book for all traders。 As usual from what you can expect from Mark's previous books, this book is no exception, he openly shared his trading tactics and mindsets。 This book contains no BS, no repetitions apart from some concept further reinforced from his previous books。 A lot of actionable and insightful things to further investigate。 A great reference book for all traders。 。。。more
