This is an independent feminist take of fairytale retelling！！ The audiobook is perfectly enjoyable， I almost forgive some little women objectification here and there。

I usually love Niel Gaimans work， so I'm very biased obviously。 And I liked this story， however I didn't think it was great。 Far from。As much as my biased brain wants to give it 4 or 5 stars I would be lying。 To be completely honest for me it might have been 2 or 2。5 stars。。。。 But I decided for 3 stars in the end。 I give it 3 stars for the following:1 star for our main character - she is pretty badass， specially in the end。 How she does her own thing and is a strong queen is amazing。 1 star for I usually love Niel Gaimans work， so I'm very biased obviously。 And I liked this story， however I didn't think it was great。 Far from。As much as my biased brain wants to give it 4 or 5 stars I would be lying。 To be completely honest for me it might have been 2 or 2。5 stars。。。。 But I decided for 3 stars in the end。 I give it 3 stars for the following:1 star for our main character - she is pretty badass， specially in the end。 How she does her own thing and is a strong queen is amazing。 1 star for focusing on having strong characters that aren't cliché1 star for the twist of the story and the illustrations， I very much liked that。 However the story somehow needed more。 72 pages， where so many of the pages are just full illustrations， it just seems a bit short。 For me I am missing some more debth to the story。 So many of his stories have more debth and I wish this had too。If it had had a bit more it would be 4 stars or 5 stars for sure。 But these short scenes and missing some of the details made me give it 3。But his writing is beautiful regardless。 Always seems to be。I will reread it at some point。 Curious to see if my opinion changes。 。。。more

I really enjoyed this graphic novel。 The artwork is stunning and the story is a very interesting take on both Snow White and Sleeping Beauty。 Highly recommend as a great girl power point of view of an age old story。
