A lovely holiday read that takes you through the beauty of Italy to the Cotswolds。 The book is such a delightful read and makes an ideal holiday read。

I was totally absorbed by this book。 It is not just a love story。 There were many twists and turns。 I got so emotionally involved with it I felt quite drained when I got to the end。 I have read several books by this author but for me this is the best so far。 I listened to it on audio and the Italian accents were beautiful。 I rarely give 5* but I would have given it more if I could。

Enjoyed this one as I always do with Lucinda Riley。 This one was written quite a long time ago apparently and re-worked by her a bit to publish a few years ago。 The characters are good and likeable and the story is quite heart-rending in places and almost made me cry。 It’s set in the opera world which is interesting although doesn’t go into much detail about that。 It’s more a love story saga which is fine。

Ik heb de boeken van Lucinda Riley van een vriendin geleend。 Ik lees ze dus allemaal achtereen om ze zo snel mogelijk terug te geven。 Normaal zou ik afwisselen van genre。 Ondanks het feit dat het allemaal liefdesromans zijn， zijn de verhaallijnen toch heel verschillend。 Dit boek leest snel， maar houdt je toch in zijn greep。Het verhaal gaat over een liefde die zo intens is dat men het gevoel met de omgeving verliest。 Ondanks dat neemt het verhaal toch een verrassende wending。
