This book does have its giggles， but mostly， my kids talked about all the ways that Rowley was bullied by Greg and that they were glad their friends are not like Greg。 So， I guess it was good for my kiddos to make that realization。 But， I really feel bad that neither set of parents did much to help Greg learn to be a better person or Rowley learn he had worth。

seriously。。。 haha。。。 don't ask me what motivated me to suddenly read this book。i was never a fan of the wimpy kid series， purely due to the fact that i found greg annoying。 but since it was a kids' series， criticising it seemed kind of dumb， right？ and i guess the whole point of the wimpy kid series was to show "don't be like greg。 it may seem cool， but he's dumb"。 idk thats what i got out of it as a child atleast。 anyways。 this book？ kinda sad tbh。 i literally have nothing else to say。 it was s seriously。。。 haha。。。 don't ask me what motivated me to suddenly read this book。i was never a fan of the wimpy kid series， purely due to the fact that i found greg annoying。 but since it was a kids' series， criticising it seemed kind of dumb， right？ and i guess the whole point of the wimpy kid series was to show "don't be like greg。 it may seem cool， but he's dumb"。 idk thats what i got out of it as a child atleast。 anyways。 this book？ kinda sad tbh。 i literally have nothing else to say。 it was sad to read how much of a bully greg is and the sadder thing is that i finished this book in a single sitting。 am i really this jobless？ 。。。more

It's not that good。 It's。。。 bad？ maybe this sound corny to you， but i don't want to say that this book is bad because that means i validate what Greg said about this book 😬。。。 i REALLY don't want to associate with him， especially because what i felt about Greg after reading this book。It's not an awful book， there is nothing very about this book。 It's alright。 I enjoyed it， i really like its art style， but i didn't enjoy it as much as the diary of wimpy kid series。 Not sure why， those books and t It's not that good。 It's。。。 bad？ maybe this sound corny to you， but i don't want to say that this book is bad because that means i validate what Greg said about this book 😬。。。 i REALLY don't want to associate with him， especially because what i felt about Greg after reading this book。It's not an awful book， there is nothing very about this book。 It's alright。 I enjoyed it， i really like its art style， but i didn't enjoy it as much as the diary of wimpy kid series。 Not sure why， those books and this one have similar contents and the jokes are still similar， maybe i prefer the wimpy kid series simply because of nostalgia factor。。。。Or maybe I didn't enjoy this book because I am disturbed by how much of a prick Greg was in this book。 I mean， sure i have heard the conspiracy that he's a sociopath and stuff and i kinda expected it since i already heard that he would gonna be a total prick in this book， but i didn't expect him to be THIS prick in this book。 Also， i already know that Greg is a total prick in the Diary of Wimpy Kid series， but I feel he wasn't as jerk as he was shown in this book。。。 well not to the point that i got disturbed and didn't enjoy the book at least， i still found some of his prick acts kinda funny。 Maybe because in the Wimpy Kid Series， we see Greg's prick-ness from his perspective， and because he is so narcissistic and so lacking in empathy， he didn't show much about his prick-ness in his book so his prick-ness in his diary isn't as bad as those shown in this book。 Unlike in this book where we see it from Rowley's point of view。。。 。。。more

In the book Rowley tells us things about Greg which Greg has not told about himself to us。 This book is totally different from Greg diary。 Rowley tells about thigs like the first sleepover Rowley and Greg had， the time when they both disturbed an ancient burial ground， the time when greg played an enornmous prank on rowley and greg got beaten by a tennis racket。 There are many more fun topics。。。

I was a bit unsure about this book。 I enjoy the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series， but spin off books usually aren’t as good。 I was a tad apprehensive about Rowley as the main character as well。I’m glad that all my concerns were unfounded。 Diary of an Awesome Kid is just as funny， fresh， and entertaining as Diary of a Wimpy Kid。
