I think the title is quite self explanatory, this is a book for people who want to win in their careers。Brendon unpacks 6 habits, providing practices to help you achieve each habit。 He also talks about what traps to avoid falling into that could lead your success to come crashing down。I won't unpack each of the habits but I will share the two that really spoke to me briefly according to my belief。 1。 Seek clarity。 I couldn't agree with this statement more。 If you do not know what you want, and p I think the title is quite self explanatory, this is a book for people who want to win in their careers。Brendon unpacks 6 habits, providing practices to help you achieve each habit。 He also talks about what traps to avoid falling into that could lead your success to come crashing down。I won't unpack each of the habits but I will share the two that really spoke to me briefly according to my belief。 1。 Seek clarity。 I couldn't agree with this statement more。 If you do not know what you want, and plan how you will get it, you will stumble。 Having clarity provides you with your why and knowing your why is what keeps you going。 Understand what you want, figure out what it will take to get there, plan that journey and when you hit a wall, remember your why, having a reason will keep you going。2。 Build courage。 If you do not take a stand, you may never get where you want to go。 Want something? Go out and get it。 If you have to ask your employer or anyone else who can help you get it, ask them。 Be bold in your endeavours。 Holding back may very well stunt your growth。 This is something I have personally struggled with and I think it comes with confidence, you need to build your confidence to be courageous, know and believe that you can do this。 I have since grown out of this fear, not to say that I don't get scared or nervous, but I try not let the fear stop me。 It is better to try, fail and learn than never to begin at all, this is not a new concept and I can tell you, it's true。The book: Good enough。 It took me some time to get into it though, it has a lot of background info that some people may not care to know but I guess it's info that is necessary for a certain audience。 I enjoyed the real life stories in the book and I found it to be well written。 I think the habits are doable and are worth trying。Conclusion: 5/5 stars, for a self help book, I think it has everything it ought to。 。。。more

Brendon had a way of breaking down then performance habits with his examples of his clients in these scenarios。 Which was helpful for me to understand。 This is my first book I've read by him and I will probably look into the others。 Brendon had a way of breaking down then performance habits with his examples of his clients in these scenarios。 Which was helpful for me to understand。 This is my first book I've read by him and I will probably look into the others。 。。。more

This was very motivational and convincing。 I also used his podcast to listen to the audiobook to "read" while driving to and from work。 Saved time! I'm very motivated for my new career because of this book and had a lot of tips and tools that are feasible。 This was very motivational and convincing。 I also used his podcast to listen to the audiobook to "read" while driving to and from work。 Saved time! Phenomenal book to help people become more self aware of the habits that can build us or break us。 The insight to what makes our habits stick and how to remove those that hinder our progress forward is revolutionary。 Great book to use in the quest of tackling the choices we make in our journey to become our best self。

“We must accept that struggle will either destroy or develop us, and the hardest of human truth is that, ultimately, it’s our choice。” Brendon put in so many great reflective questions and amazing quotes - that I ran out of sticky notes。 This book is exactly what I was looking for。Now to go back through and do the work。

Jamie Scott

Brendon is very honest in this book about what it takes to be high performer。 It’s a great reminder that you have to be intentional about your life in order to succeed。 Great book which I will read again。

Hannah Talley

I absolutely loved this book。 One of my lowest scores on the HPI (recommend taking the free assessment) was clarity。 The consistent questions and prompts make you stop, think and really view your life and path through different eyes。

Shelley

A few good tidbits, I skimmed most of the fluff。

Markko Karu

Heving read a myriad of books on topic of self improvement, I was amazed how functional this book is。 The main thing is to make the main thing the main thing。 This book is a personal trainer, a mentor, a coach。 Love it。

Charlene

Heavily padded and repetitive。

Jeremy Howlett

What a great book! It’ll make you work, but Brendon gives you great questions and prompts to consider as you seek to be better。

Casey Pavlosky

This book was a lot more introspective than I expected。 Took lots of notes, found the prompts enlightening and walked away with actionable daily habits。 Wish I’d picked it up in my early 20s when I was looking for more career/life direction, but the concepts are highly relevant at any stage of life。

This book gave me the charge I needed to get back to my New Year’s resolutions!
