3。75 StarsI am a huge fan of this author and have read most of her books， though I own them all。 She spins a dark tale in such a fantastic， realistic way that you’re hooked from the start。 It wasn’t that way with this one， for me。 I had to push myself through the story because I knew it would get better。 For me， it was too much of a slow burn。 However， by the time I got to chapter 42， I think， the story became as amazing as I knew it would be！

Not the “good read” I was expecting…Read several reviews。 Expected a scintillating story。 It was not all the hype made it out to be。 Actually a bit of a snore。 Not even going to buy the second story as I don’t want to waste my time or money。

AddictingDrew me in immediately。 Dark and raw。 A man that’s no stranger to violence is trying to do right by his son and trying to hide from his dark world。 She’s trying to escape the nightmare she’s been thrown into and runs to him not knowing who he is until it’s too late。 But hopefully now her monster is bigger and scarier than the one chasing her。 I can’t wait to dive into book 2。
