Lu la version française。 La nouvelle série Lupin sur Netflix m’a motivé à lire les histoires de Maurice Leblanc。 Définitivement bien écrit， je suis tout de même resté sur mon appétit。 C’est comme si l’intrigue était légère mais avec une prose assez étoffée。

This book was such a fun read。 I'm not a particular fan of short story collections of detective fiction， but this collection beat me。 There are nine short stories in this collection， and while I was differently attracted to them， all had one thing in common。 And that is humour。 This collection was altogether too hilarious。 Arsene Lupin， the Gentleman-Thief， is one of those notoriously attractive characters。 :） His cleverness in his cunning is quite impressive。 But none of these have the same cha This book was such a fun read。 I'm not a particular fan of short story collections of detective fiction， but this collection beat me。 There are nine short stories in this collection， and while I was differently attracted to them， all had one thing in common。 And that is humour。 This collection was altogether too hilarious。 Arsene Lupin， the Gentleman-Thief， is one of those notoriously attractive characters。 :） His cleverness in his cunning is quite impressive。 But none of these have the same charm as his audacity！ This is the first time in my reading life that I was fascinated by a criminal。 :）The stories were not brilliant in that the mystery was not much of a mystery。 But， they were all appealing in various degrees。 I found Madam Imbert's Safe particularly brilliant in which even Arsen Lupin was outwitted。 I truly enjoyed this collection， which is my first exposure to Maurice LeBlanc's Arsene Lupin series。 LeBlanc may not be brilliant in his creation like Arthur Conan Doyle， but he has certainly invented a Sherlock Holmes of crimes。 。。。more

La verdad no me a gustado nada este libro ， una que otra historia me llega a tener concentrado pero fue un libro difícil de terminar aunque fue muy pequeño。 Desarrollo de personajes predecibles ， ninguna emoción ， desarrollo casi inviable de personajes。 Solo me ha gustado la historia del “siete de corazones “ ， y el final donde incluyen a Sherlock 。 Igual le daré la oportunidad a los demás libros y quizás mejore。

Es la historia de un ladrón amante del arte， un aristócrata del robo， llamado Arsenio Lupin， el cual es un personaje cautivante， pues maneja muy bien la ironía， es sumamente metódico y calculador; además， es un maestro del disfraz y del engaño， razón por la que al parecer nadie conoce su aspecto físico y claro， porque le robaba a quien merecía ser robado。 El libro consta de 9 capítulos， los cuales bien podrían leerse independientemente。 La narración es muy dinámica y entretenida， ya que parece q Es la historia de un ladrón amante del arte， un aristócrata del robo， llamado Arsenio Lupin， el cual es un personaje cautivante， pues maneja muy bien la ironía， es sumamente metódico y calculador; además， es un maestro del disfraz y del engaño， razón por la que al parecer nadie conoce su aspecto físico y claro， porque le robaba a quien merecía ser robado。 El libro consta de 9 capítulos， los cuales bien podrían leerse independientemente。 La narración es muy dinámica y entretenida， ya que parece que la historia la cuenta un personaje ajeno y a veces， parece que es el mismo Lupin。 En cada relato ocurren experiencias o casos muy peculiares， sorprendentes e ingeniosos。 Siempre se sale con la suya， aunque parezca casualidad o un error， siempre la situación termina a su favor。 También encontraremos referencias al personaje de Sir Arthur Conan Doyle， pero con el nombre de Herlock Sholmes， el cual se enfrenta a nuestro protagonista， quien bien podría ser su alter ego， ya que， en vez de ser quien investiga， es quien realiza el timo。Es una lectura para estar muy atentos a todos los detalles， ya que Lupin es un experto planificador y prestidigitador。 Tiene un origen desconocido y solamente， su adversario， el policía Ganimard， ha logrado atraparle。 Sin embargo， Arsenio Lupin siempre logra evadir a la justicia。 La trama te atrapa desde el inicio al final， ya que este ladrón de cuello blanco no deja nada a la suerte， tiene todo fríamente calculado。 Sin duda una exquisita historia parisiense del siglo XX。 Se la recomiendo。 。。。more

This was such a fun read！ I was frequently a bit lost， but that was my fault as I was listening to the audiobook and kept trying to do too many things at once！ I enjoyed recognizing bits from the stories that were used in big or small ways in the show Lupin。

El mejor capítulo diría que es el primero， en el que no te esperas nada de lo que pasa。 Los demás capítulos están bien， pero no son nada de otro mundo。También tiene un capítulo， el antepenúltimo creo， que me costó mucho terminar， se me hizo muuuy largo。Por lo general me ha gustado bastante， pero no creo que sea merecedor de esa devoción que le dan en la serie Lupin。

No era lo que me esperaba， pues eran historias cortas e inconexas en las que Lupin no aparecía casi。 A veces las revelaciones de cómo habían ocurrido los hechos eran sorprendentes， pero otras eran bastante predecibles o directamente aburridas。 Me habría gustado más si el libro estuviera contado desde la perspectiva de Lupin años después y enlazando de alguna manera los relatos。 Le he dejado una segunda estrella porque la primera mitad era bastante divertida， pero decayó mucho :/

A quite interesting tale of a very interesting man。 Arsene Lupin is a burglar by trade， but certainly not your run-of-the-mill burglar。 He is astute at sizing up the plans he needs as well as the dispositions of those he will deprive of their treasures。 Most of those plans are quite intricate and detailed and he often pulls the wool over the eyes of the justice system。
