We love Sophie Mouse and were eager for this newest installment。 It wasn't one of my personal favorites in the series， and my oldest didn't seem particularly interested in in， though it still won over my five-year-old。 The plot is a little less interesting than some。 Sophie helps a busy little ladybug gather supplies for the a party for the ladybug's grandmother。 But， Sophie is overconfident and doesn't make a list， so she gets the colors mixed up for the different items。 I felt that it wasn't r We love Sophie Mouse and were eager for this newest installment。 It wasn't one of my personal favorites in the series， and my oldest didn't seem particularly interested in in， though it still won over my five-year-old。 The plot is a little less interesting than some。 Sophie helps a busy little ladybug gather supplies for the a party for the ladybug's grandmother。 But， Sophie is overconfident and doesn't make a list， so she gets the colors mixed up for the different items。 I felt that it wasn't right for Sophie to enlist the help of Hattie and Owen without asking the ladybug first since the ladybug had asked Sophie to keep everything a secret。 （This was never addressed except Sophie afterwards saying， I hope it's okay that I included Hattie and Owen and the ladybug saying， no problem！） But， overall， it's still a cute little story and fans of Sophie Mouse will probably still get enjoyment out of it。 The ladybugs are adorable and a party is always fun！ 。。。more

I received a free copy of this book from the publisher for review。All the stars because this series is my 5 year old daughter’s current favorite book series。 With her love of nature， art， colors， and animals these books are a perfect fit。I read the books aloud to her， but they are also perfect for newly independent readers with short chapters and illustrations on every page spread。 There are currently 17 books published with more to come and they do not need to be read strictly in order although I received a free copy of this book from the publisher for review。All the stars because this series is my 5 year old daughter’s current favorite book series。 With her love of nature， art， colors， and animals these books are a perfect fit。I read the books aloud to her， but they are also perfect for newly independent readers with short chapters and illustrations on every page spread。 There are currently 17 books published with more to come and they do not need to be read strictly in order although reading Book 1 first would be helpful for introduction。We were thrilled to see that the newest installment introduced ladybug characters because I have a couple ladybug lovers in my family。 Definitely a charming story that my daughter will want to keep revisiting！ 。。。more
