Summary
The Prisoner of Heaven returns to the world of the Cemetery of Forgotten Books and the Sempere & Sons bookshop。
It begins just before Christmas in Barcelona in 1957， one year after Daniel and Bea from The Shadow of the Wind have married。 They now have a son， Julian， and are living with Daniel's father at Sempere & Sons。 Fermin still works with them and is busy preparing for his wedding to Bernarda in the New Year。 However something appears to be bothering him。
Daniel is alone in the shop one morning when a mysterious figure with a pronounced limp enters。 He spots one of their most precious volumes that is kept locked in a glass cabinet， a beautiful and unique illustrated edition of The Count of Monte Cristo。 Despite the fact that the stranger seems to care little for books， he wants to buy this expensive edition。 Then， to Daniel's surprise， the man inscribes the book with the words 'To Fermin Romero de Torres， who came back from the dead and who holds the key to the future'。 This visit leads back to a story of imprisonment， betrayal and the return of a deadly rival。。。

حبيت الجزء ده لكنه أقلهم من حيث الأحداث والتفاصيل ولسة عند رأيي لعبة الملاك هو افضل جزء يليه ظل الريح。。ومكنتش عارفة افرح لظهور دايڤيد مرة تانية ولا احزن لأنه لسة بيتعذب وكان عندي أمل ان ظهوره هيبقى فيه تحسن ولو طفيف في حياته

I loved this。 It does tie up loose ends （maybe this one wasn’t quite standalone like the last ones were）， like others have mentioned。 To me， it tied up story lines in such a beautiful， bookend way。 It reminded me of the musical “Kiss of the Spiderwoman” where prisoners are asked to tattle on each other or fear the inhumane punishment of war。 It takes great bravery to come out of that still put together。 Learning Fermin’s background made me love his character even more， and hearing about what hap I loved this。 It does tie up loose ends （maybe this one wasn’t quite standalone like the last ones were）， like others have mentioned。 To me， it tied up story lines in such a beautiful， bookend way。 It reminded me of the musical “Kiss of the Spiderwoman” where prisoners are asked to tattle on each other or fear the inhumane punishment of war。 It takes great bravery to come out of that still put together。 Learning Fermin’s background made me love his character even more， and hearing about what happened to Martin gave me just a tiny bit of relief from the cliffhanger of the last book。 I am curious to know what Bea’s deal is。 It’s a small， small note but when Sofia arrives。。。”When [Bea] stepped into the dining room and saw Sofia she went pale and glanced at me。。。Bea tried to conceal her alarm and greeted her with absolute normality。” Not sure what that is all about， but I’m beginning to think there is more to Bea than we’ve been led to believe so far。 。。。more

I do enjoy this series。 He is a fabulous story teller and this gives us the background of Fermin。 It’s short compared to 1 and 2 in the series and clearly there’s another one in the works。。。。he wouldn’t leave us without another adventure。。。would he？！？

Tengo sentimientos encontrados con este libroEn "El prisionero del Cielo"， Zafon nos habla de uno de los personajes más importantes y entrañables de la historia。 FerminNo puedo decir que no me haya gustado porque no es así， la historia me parece muy interesante y creo que es importante conocer todo lo que el autor nos narra en esta historia。 Se ven nuevos personajes， los cuales van a ser relevantes en "El laberinto de los espíritus"， la última entrega de la saga， y que de una u otra manera están Tengo sentimientos encontrados con este libroEn "El prisionero del Cielo"， Zafon nos habla de uno de los personajes más importantes y entrañables de la historia。 FerminNo puedo decir que no me haya gustado porque no es así， la historia me parece muy interesante y creo que es importante conocer todo lo que el autor nos narra en esta historia。 Se ven nuevos personajes， los cuales van a ser relevantes en "El laberinto de los espíritus"， la última entrega de la saga， y que de una u otra manera están conectados con Daniel y FerminAunque me haya encantado poder descubrir más sobre este gran personaje， la historia no me ha parecido tan "misteriosa" ni tan "oscura" como las otras。 Si es cierto que algo de eso en el libro pero no puede comparar se a los otros， el porcentaje es muy pequeño。Sin embargo， he de decir que el final me ha encantado。 Me ha dejado súper impactada y muy intrigada， lo que ha hecho que el libro me guste más。 De verdad， ese final， a mi me ha maravillado y ha hecho que le coja con ganas al siguiente tomo， que no es corto。 。。。more

I am biggest fan of his writing。 This was very good book in a series after the shadow of the wind。 Characters are as usual unique and dialogs are more like philosophical， which i love。 One must read the angels game before reading this，i think，to get deeper understanding of the story。 I loved fermin character most。 Will miss this author and his writing。 He will be missed by many。 There is one more book which i am planning to read this year in this series。

أحب أسلوب زافون، أحب ترابط الأحداث وأحب عنصر المفاجئة في كل رواياته。 تظنّ أن كل رواية منفصلة وقد تقرأها على حدة، وهذا صحيح، ولكن تجد أيضًا ما يجلعها مترابطة، التفاصيل والأماكن والشخصيات أيضًا。-بعد أن عرفنا عن دانيال، وعن دايڤيد، أخيرًا نتعرّف على الشخصية المفضلة-لدى الغالبية- فيرمين روميرو دي توريس، لكن تمنيت أن نعرف تفاصيل أكثر وأكثر عنه قبل الاعتقال。روايات كارلوس زافون عظيمة عظيمة جدًا ！

Si tengo que decir cual es mi personaje literario preferido， sin dudas ese siempre será Fermín y me ha encantado leer un poco más sobre él， porque es lo que me ha dejado con ganas en La Sombra del Viento y que en este libro eh disfrutado tanto。 La historia empieza a tomar todos esos hilos que han quedados sueltos en los anteriores y le va dando un sentido diferente， es esa vuelta de tuerca que no te ves venir。 Y el final es un preludio de lo que vendrá y que no voy a esperar mucho para leer。

3。5/5。 A pesar de que los libros están pensados para que se puedan leer en otro orden diferente al publicado si se quiere， este deja un final demasiado abierto， con muchas incógnitas por resolver para que así sea。Aunque la historia está genial me ha parecido más un libro de tránsito entre el segundo y el cuarto
