4 stars。I love the fight with Ichigo and Kenpachi and seeing Ichigo realize that he isn't using Zangetsu to his full extent。 I also love the moment where Kenpachi tries asking his zanpakuto its name。 I'm excited for the day when he finally learns it。 4 stars。I love the fight with Ichigo and Kenpachi and seeing Ichigo realize that he isn't using Zangetsu to his full extent。 I also love the moment where Kenpachi tries asking his zanpakuto its name。 I'm excited for the day when he finally learns it。 。。。more

Well, once more Ichigo is saved by plot armour and being a Mary Sue (honestly, what do we expect at this point?), but the fight itself was still fairly interesting even if the conclusion did annoy me a little。 Plus, then we got Ganju confronting Rukia when he finds out (view spoiler)[she is the one saying she killed his older brother, Kaien (hide spoiler)]。 Things are heating up big time as more and more battles are fought。 Well, once more Ichigo is saved by plot armour and being a Mary Sue (honestly, what do we expect at this point?), but the fight itself was still fairly interesting even if the conclusion did annoy me a little。 Plus, then we got Ganju confronting Rukia when he finds out (view spoiler)[she is the one saying she killed his older brother, Kaien (hide spoiler)]。 Things are heating up big time as more and more battles are fought。 。。。more

So this is the first truly big impact fight in the series and it's pretty epic。 The majority of the volume is the fight between Ichigo and Zaraki and these two don't hold back! Also there is an important twist in the narrative and we're left off with a pretty big cliffhanger。 A favourite volume for sure! A huge battle between Ichigo and Kenpachi, who will be victorious? I love the idea of the zanpakutos having a real being inside them that can turn the tide of battle based on their relationship with their user。 Also, this mysterious white faced Ichigo was a nefarious bit of foreshadowing that I really enjoyed。

Okay, so the story is getting very strange。 Again we see the advancement of the other characters, as they fight their way into the citadel to help with the rescue, but Ichigo's fight with the enemy captain is kind of crazy, until the reader remembers that this is taking place in a spiritual world, rather than the physical one, so the rules may be a tad different。Chad's opponent, on the other hand, is officially very weird。 Okay, so the story is getting very strange。 Again we see the advancement of the other characters, as they fight their way into the citadel to help with the rescue, but Ichigo's fight with the enemy captain is kind of crazy, until the reader remembers that this is taking place in a spiritual world, rather than the physical one, so the rules may be a tad different。Chad's opponent, on the other hand, is officially very weird。 。。。more

I have so many questions。 What did Dark Ichigo mean when he said that Ichigo would be king? Is Kenny really dead? So many questions, not enough answers。

This is the big battle between Ichigo and Kenpachi。 Both hard headed, both strong, but who will come out on top? This is a vicious, yet really fun fight。 We get to see more of how their swords work, especially ichigo。 I also enjoy this chapter because Kenpachi sidekick is freaking adorable。 The art is solid throughout with some great memorable moments。 The stuff with Rukia starts to boil up and ends on a great cliffhanger。 Bleach is in its prime now。

Ah, yes, the Kenpachi volume。I feel like, even when I was reading this series for the first time, the power scaling of the Ichigo vs Kenpachi fight felt a little off, but that really doesn’t detract from one of the most exciting, dangerous, and just plain wild battles in the series yet, and certainly one of the more memorable ones even years after the fact。Volume 13 also introduces a few more wrinkles to Ichigo’s own power that play a large role later on, expands on Kenpachi and Yachiru’s backst Ah, yes, the Kenpachi volume。I feel like, even when I was reading this series for the first time, the power scaling of the Ichigo vs Kenpachi fight felt a little off, but that really doesn’t detract from one of the most exciting, dangerous, and just plain wild battles in the series yet, and certainly one of the more memorable ones even years after the fact。Volume 13 also introduces a few more wrinkles to Ichigo’s own power that play a large role later on, expands on Kenpachi and Yachiru’s backstories, and ends with one hell of a cliffhanger。It also manages to have some hilarious inter-chapter writing thanks to Squad 4’s 3rd seat member。This is peak shonen stuff, and I am here for it。 。。。more

The series is returning to form, in my opinion。 The plot is starting to piece back together in a meaningful way。 In this, I mean that some of the previous volumes felt like pure filler。 But I'm looking forward to wherever this is headed。 Overall, a 4/5。 The series is returning to form, in my opinion。 The plot is starting to piece back together in a meaningful way。 In this, I mean that some of the previous volumes felt like pure filler。 But I'm looking forward to wherever this is headed。 Overall, a 4/5。 。。。more

Despite his size and brute strength, Chad has been bested by 8th Squad Captain Kyoraku。 When his lieutenant, Nanao, arrives with an important message concerning the death of Captain Aizen of 5th Squad, she offers to finish Chad off, as probably the Ryoka are the cause of his death。 But Shunsui tells her no, they can’t be sure of that, and wants him taken to the 4th Squad instead, for healing。 Shunsui sighs。 “Things are getting complicated。”Meanwhile, Ichigo is battling Kenpachi Zaraki, who is on Despite his size and brute strength, Chad has been bested by 8th Squad Captain Kyoraku。 When his lieutenant, Nanao, arrives with an important message concerning the death of Captain Aizen of 5th Squad, she offers to finish Chad off, as probably the Ryoka are the cause of his death。 But Shunsui tells her no, they can’t be sure of that, and wants him taken to the 4th Squad instead, for healing。 Shunsui sighs。 “Things are getting complicated。”Meanwhile, Ichigo is battling Kenpachi Zaraki, who is one scary and fierce dude, which makes Zaraki’s lieutenant, Yachiru, happy because it makes Kenny happy。 Ichigo becomes cocky, which translates to careless, and is run through by Zaraki’s sword, to the captain’s disappointment。 Bleeding and dismayed, Ichigo recognizes Zangetsu, his zanpaku-tô, who questions him: “Do you want to win or do you want to live?”Meanwhile, Ganju and Hanataro have reached Rukia’s cell, prepared to liberate her。 But there is a slight wrinkle in their plan as Ganju realizes who she is。 Will he still rescue her, or will he try to kill her himself? The action continued in this volume of Bleach。 I love how relentless Ichigo is, how determined and sometimes headstrong and brash。 Well, he is a teenager after all, and probably imbued with the same spirit of seeming immortality that so many teens are because they can’t conceive of maybe dying。 Ichigo is loyal to a fault and will do anything for his friends, but he doesn’t always think before he acts。 I love his interactions with Zangetsu。 The old man is usually good at instilling a modicum of good sense into Ichigo, as well as strength。I loved seeing the back story between Kenachi and Yachiru。 At first I found her annoying but she’s grown on me。 There is a lot of back story in Bleach, which I enjoy。 The problem with Ganju and Rukia sets up a question of principle, but I suspect there is more to that story than meets the eye, and probably a flashback to go with。The ending contains a good cliffhanger, looking forward to the next volume to see what happens! 。。。more

A formidable battle-centered volume as Ichigo confronts Kenpachi in a deadly and horrifying exchange of willpower and killer instinct。 Mangaka Tite Kubo deserves a lot of praise for the incredible artwork that went into illustrating Kenpachi's suffocating presence and Ichigo's determination。 Loved the teasers to the evil within Ichigo as he closes in on Rukia's position。Yours truly,Lashaan | Blogger and Book ReviewerOfficial blog: https://bookidote。com/ A formidable battle-centered volume as Ichigo confronts Kenpachi in a deadly and horrifying exchange of willpower and killer instinct。 Mangaka Tite Kubo deserves a lot of praise for the incredible artwork that went into illustrating Kenpachi's suffocating presence and Ichigo's determination。 Loved the teasers to the evil within Ichigo as he closes in on Rukia's position。Yours truly,Lashaan | Blogger and Book ReviewerOfficial blog: https://bookidote。com/ 。。。more

This book is full of action, mostly focusing on the battle between Ichigo and Kenpachi。 I can't help but like Kenpachi。 And the battle kept swinging both ways so it's hard to sense how it's going to end up。 As we get closer to the actual rescue the books are getting more intense。 The artwork doesn't suffer at all though。 It's getting better。 Kubo still has me hooked。 This book is full of action, mostly focusing on the battle between Ichigo and Kenpachi。 I can't help but like Kenpachi。 And the battle kept swinging both ways so it's hard to sense how it's going to end up。 As we get closer to the actual rescue the books are getting more intense。 The artwork doesn't suffer at all though。 It's getting better。 Kubo still has me hooked。 。。。more

Bleach, Vol。 13 continues where the previous tankōbon left off and contains the next eight chapters (108–115) of the on-going manga series。After defeating Yasutora "Chad" Sado and deeming him not a bad person, Shunsui Kyōraku decides to have him incarcerated。 Meanwhile, Ichigo Kurosaki is fighting against Kenpachi Zaraki, though terrified of his opponent's overwhelming power; Ichigo finds the resolve to face him。 However, unlike other captains, Kenpachi reveals he has not mastered his zanpakutō Bleach, Vol。 13 continues where the previous tankōbon left off and contains the next eight chapters (108–115) of the on-going manga series。After defeating Yasutora "Chad" Sado and deeming him not a bad person, Shunsui Kyōraku decides to have him incarcerated。 Meanwhile, Ichigo Kurosaki is fighting against Kenpachi Zaraki, though terrified of his opponent's overwhelming power; Ichigo finds the resolve to face him。 However, unlike other captains, Kenpachi reveals he has not mastered his zanpakutō and he easily defeats Ichigo。At that time, Ichigo is brought into his inner world by Zangetsu to face another opponent: A hollow personification of Ichigo's that manifested from his training under Kisuke Urahara。 As Ichigo realizes that he knows nothing about Zangetsu and promises to learn more about him, the fight is stopped and Ichigo returns to fight Kenpachi again。 This time, he is able to use all the power from Zangetsu, and as a result Ichigo is able to successfully battle Kenpachi to a draw。Kenpachi's lieutenant, Yachiru Kusajishi, takes him to another place and Kenpachi confesses that he lost because he has never been able to truly know his zanpakutō。 Meanwhile, Ganju Shiba and Hanatarō Yamada find Rukia Kuchiki。 It is then that Ganju becomes infuriated when he recognizes Rukia as the Soul Reaper who killed his brother Kaien Shiba。This tankobon is written and illustrated by Tite Kubo。 The incursion into the Seireitei to save Rukia Kuchiki continues as Yasutora "Chad" Sado loses his battle against Shunsui Kyōraku and placed in prison。 Ichigo Kurosaki manages to fight Kenpachi Zaraki rather impressively。 Things get further complicated when Ganju Shiba recognizes Rukia Kuchiki as the Soul Reaper that killed his brother, which threatens the rescue mission。All in all, Bleach, Vol。 13 is a wonderful continuation to a series that seems intriguing and I cannot wait to read more。 。。。more

I loved this volume (a recurring theme from me)。 Zangetsu is amazing and his love and trust in Ichigo is lovely and I'm glad we got to see a bit more from his perspective as well as some reciprocation。 It's also just nice to see that relationship between reaper and sword expanded on because we've established a tentative relationship and trust is needed, but the relationship between Ichigo and Zangetsu seems much deeper, though that might be because we are actually taken into that internal city-s I loved this volume (a recurring theme from me)。 Zangetsu is amazing and his love and trust in Ichigo is lovely and I'm glad we got to see a bit more from his perspective as well as some reciprocation。 It's also just nice to see that relationship between reaper and sword expanded on because we've established a tentative relationship and trust is needed, but the relationship between Ichigo and Zangetsu seems much deeper, though that might be because we are actually taken into that internal city-scape and relationship more than with other reapers。 With Kenpachi's sort of arc, it would be cool to see another sword/reaper relationship discussed and worked through just to broaden how that connection works and/or exists。 Another thing I loved is the relationship between Ganju and Hanataro; they are just such a duo (which is played upon even more with the anime Bount arc)。 In this volume though Ganju actually calls Hanataro 'Hana' and I love it and I love them。 。。。more

I'm back on the Bleach train after petering out last year。 And damn does it feel good!
