It's a bit difficult to say more than I liked it because I like the movie and because I love Arina Tanemura's work。 It's by no means a perfect adaptation, mainly because it felt rushed at places and if you haven't seen the movie (although I think most people interested in this, have) some scenes would've been kinda confusing。 But I'm putting a little extra in to the star rating for Arina Tanemura's beautiful art (she's drawn this a bit more sketchy lines than before though) and my general love f It's a bit difficult to say more than I liked it because I like the movie and because I love Arina Tanemura's work。 It's by no means a perfect adaptation, mainly because it felt rushed at places and if you haven't seen the movie (although I think most people interested in this, have) some scenes would've been kinda confusing。 But I'm putting a little extra in to the star rating for Arina Tanemura's beautiful art (she's drawn this a bit more sketchy lines than before though) and my general love for Frozen and Elsa。 So it's absolutely biased in every way。 ;)If you like both Frozen and Arinacchi, this is very nice treat。 。。。more

Five stars for the art work。。。 I'm familiar with other work by Tanemura, so I know her art doesn't disappoint。 I did have an issue with how fast paced this was。。。 It felt like some panels could have been added or were left out to keep this to 160 pages? It assumes that most have already seen the movie, I think, so that may account for the pacing feeling weird in spots。 。 。 Five stars for the art work。。。 I'm familiar with other work by Tanemura, so I know her art doesn't disappoint。 I did have an issue with how fast paced this was。。。 It felt like some panels could have been added or were left out to keep this to 160 pages? The only thing that would have made this better is if they had inserted the original english song lyrics rather than what seemed to be translations (japanese to english) of the translated (english to japanese) song lyrics as some of the wording was awkward。

The art is gorgeous and totally deserves 5 stars, but the story is really choppy and difficult to follow if you don’t already know the plot。

While Frozen has never been my favourite Disney movie, I can't deny that I was super excited that there would be a manga adaptation of the second movie - which I prefered a lot to the first - and to add a cherry on top, it was to be adapted by one of my favourite manga artists, Arina Tanemura。 The result is, unfortunately, rather mixed。 That being said, I am still glad to add this volume to my collection and I think it can appeal to different kinds of readers。 Generally speaking, this is a one o While Frozen has never been my favourite Disney movie, I can't deny that I was super excited that there would be a manga adaptation of the second movie - which I prefered a lot to the first - and to add a cherry on top, it was to be adapted by one of my favourite manga artists, Arina Tanemura。 The result is, unfortunately, rather mixed。 That being said, I am still glad to add this volume to my collection and I think it can appeal to different kinds of readers。 Generally speaking, this is a one on one adaptation - scenes, poses, expressions are more or less just as they were in the movie, so don't expect Tanemura to have put her own spin on it - it's literally just the art。 Funnily enough, the only thing that went off script were the lyrics of Into the Unknown。 I think, for anyone familiar with the song, it will feel a little odd reading this version。 While Tanemura's art is not for everyone, it's definitely one of my favourite styles and with this book, she not only uses her personal style for Anna and Elsa but also shows that she can adapt to Disney's style which is seen in characters like Olaf and Kristoff。 So while I consider the art the main appeal of this adaptation, the pacing is its downfall; it feels like a strongly sped-up version of the movie, to the extent that I wonder whether someone who hasn't seen the movie would actually understand the events。 As such, I wouldn't actually recommend this book to someone who hasn't seen the original movie。 In fact, I think this version can only hold its ground when viewed as a companion to the movie。 I also wonder whether this adaptation was a product of US Kodansha Comics and Tanemura made specifically for a Western audience; it's drawn left to right, rather than the usual manga format。 I also can't seem to find a trace of a Japanese version of this manga。 So, if you're a manga fan - especially shoujo - pick it up for the pretty art, but keep the reading order in mind。 If you're a Disney fan, why not try something new and give this a go? And if you like both, as I do, there's not much you can do wrong as long as you view this as a companion rather than a fleshed-out story of its own。 The execution could have been better, but it's a nice and different take on Disney's Frozen II - too bad there's not an adaptation of the first movie! 。。。more

this was really cute! it’s very faithful to the original movie and was a fun, quick read。 it’s nothing incredible but it was very enjoyable。 arina tanemura’s art is beautiful as always。 this reads left to right which was a little strange to me but i got used to it quickly。 if u liked the original movie you will definitely like this manga。

This was an absolutely stunning adaptation of Frozen 2。 It was a little jarring at first to see the sentiments of the songs from the film depicted in slightly different phrasing, but it fit the art style so well。 I teared up several times while reading this one, and chuckled a few times too。 Such a powerful story。

I really liked the first Frozen movie and I loved FrozenII! So, I knew as soon as I saw this beautiful cover I had to get it! It was a lot of fun seeing/reading the manga adaptation。 The artwork is what really did it for me。 The characters were so adorable。 The story is virtually the same, so don't really expect much from that。 I think it would be really cool if they made an off shoot series of stories following the events of FrozenII; I would totally buy them。 Haha! I feel privileged to be the first person to review this beautiful manga。 It reads left to right, which confused me at first because I'm used to reading manga traditionally。 But once you get past that, this book is absolutely stunning。 Don't expect the dialogue and song lyrics to be exactly as they were in the movie。 Some scenes do feel slightly rushed by but that makes sense for a movie adaptation。 Faithful to the story and characters, a quick and enjoyable read。 So much love for the characters I feel privileged to be the first person to review this beautiful manga。 It reads left to right, which confused me at first because I'm used to reading manga traditionally。 But once you get past that, this book is absolutely stunning。 Don't expect the dialogue and song lyrics to be exactly as they were in the movie。 Some scenes do feel slightly rushed by but that makes sense for a movie adaptation。 Faithful to the story and characters, a quick and enjoyable read。 So much love for the characters and story in this book。 Definitely a must read for fans of Frozen!
