If you checked this book out from a library like me, you can't get the access code to the online assessment which seems to be the whole point of the book。 There are other strengths assessments out there that are equally helpful, and free。 If you checked this book out from a library like me, you can't get the access code to the online assessment which seems to be the whole point of the book。 There are other strengths assessments out there that are equally helpful, and free。 。。。more

Instead of working on all the areas that do not come naturally and our weaknesses, we should focus our time and energy into what we already are。 Developing the gifts and talents that come naturally allows us to excel in those areas。 This was a good, quick, and simple reminder to find contentment in the way we were made, and utilize our natural strengths。

Max Booher

The contents of this book initially struck me as superficial Horoscope-like ambiguity, but after taking the assessment and reading the pointed advice — I believe I may benefit。

Great book because it provides a lot of cogent archetypes that apply to all humans。 Really the book is good to read for this without the personality test。 The themes focus on ideas, execution, and organizational aspects of people's personality but the big 5 trait test seems to do this better。 The book taught me to learn your goals and to prioritize actions to lead as meaningful a life as well as one can。 Great book because it provides a lot of cogent archetypes that apply to all humans。 Really the book is good to read for this without the personality test。 The themes focus on ideas, execution, and organizational aspects of people's personality but the big 5 trait test seems to do this better。 The book taught me to learn your goals and to prioritize actions to lead as meaningful a life as well as one can。 。。。more

Astrology for CapitalismI've had to read this book for a class and WOW would I like my money back。 The title says it all - this is just astrology for capitalism。 With this book, you get a code to go to a website。 At the said website, you answer a few questions in a limited amount of time。 Yes, it's a timed quiz。 Once it's all done you know everything there is to know about your one true self。 *gag* The questions are set as either/or hypotheticals that aren't necessarily opposites。 For example, y Astrology for CapitalismI've had to read this book for a class and WOW would I like my money back。 The title says it all - this is just astrology for capitalism。 With this book, you get a code to go to a website。 At the said website, you answer a few questions in a limited amount of time。 Yes, it's a timed quiz。 Once it's all done you know everything there is to know about your one true self。 *gag* The questions are set as either/or hypotheticals that aren't necessarily opposites。 For example, you have to choose between enjoying studying hard or going out with friends。 The two are not mutually exclusive。If you flip through the other strengths you'll see that they are all very similar。 The Maximizer strength is not that much different than the Connectedness strength。All in all, this is a tool for lazy people who don't want to know their employees。 。。。more

Read this back in the day for work and did the test - I found it to be quite accurate。 I liked this approach compared to the standard color/eg/etc。

Ya know, basic personality test thing。 Good stuff though。

It’s a handy book to carry with you for a lifetime。 Actually just a short section for generic leadership tips and the rest depends on your personality。 A must have。

Loved this book! The quiz that comes with the code in the book makes it worth it。 You learn about your strengths and how to focus more on your strengths, rather than your weakness。 The theory is that we have a raw talent that we can excel in at a much faster rate, versus using time and energy in our weaker areas。

Heidi Goehmann

I think knowing your strengths can be helpful。 I don’t think this book is super helpful。 I do like the small excerpts at the end of each that tells coworkers how to pay attention to each other’s strengths。

Benita Lee

Anyone in the control seat of their career needs to know their strengths。

I didn't take the test that goes with this book, I just read about all the different strengths, was able to connect on some level to each of them。 I also found it helped me understand and relate to more people in my world。 I could see how they functioned and what motivated them better。 Which was actually more of what was interesting to me。 I didn't take the test that goes with this book, I just read about all the different strengths, was able to connect on some level to each of them。 I also found it helped me understand and relate to more people in my world。 I could see how they functioned and what motivated them better。 Which was actually more of what was interesting to me。 。。。more

I got it as a gift from somebody。 It's got a nice premise about focusing on your strengths and can be a good way to learn about yourself。 But the fact that it costs 20 dollars when similar personality quizzes exist throws me off a bit。 Additionally this only unlocks your top 5。 You have to pay an ADDITIONAL 40 dollars in order to unlock all 34。 Its a scam especially considering again that other personality tests exist。 I dont think there's that much of a scientific basis for this one and I'd cau I got it as a gift from somebody。 It's got a nice premise about focusing on your strengths and can be a good way to learn about yourself。 But the fact that it costs 20 dollars when similar personality quizzes exist throws me off a bit。 Additionally this only unlocks your top 5。 You have to pay an ADDITIONAL 40 dollars in order to unlock all 34。 Its a scam especially considering again that other personality tests exist。 I dont think there's that much of a scientific basis for this one and I'd caution against taking this as word of God about yourself。 A little introspective thinking can go a long way in helping you learn about yourself and while this can be a catalyst its way to expensive of one for such little benefit。 Have some fun taking online quizzes instead。 。。。more

It helped me see who I am truly and what kind of personality I have。 To be honest, though some of the ones I was paired with didnt seem quite accurate。 Even so, I think it was worth going through the test and just reading about what each theme meant。

Jake Pescador

Compared to other free personality tests and career advice blogs online, the book turns out to be just a teaser as it says little and appears to hide most of the helpful content behind a paywall。

The book itself doesn’t have a physical test or assessment in it to find your strengths, which sucks。 Instead, it gives an access code that you can use only once, from what I’ve heard。 However, I did find a dope hack for this。 It usually requires an assessment that you’d have to pay like 20 bucks for。 Instead of doing that, you can take the High5 strength finder test that’s free, then cross reference it with the 34 themes list that is described in strengths indeed。 I’m sure the descriptions in t The book itself doesn’t have a physical test or assessment in it to find your strengths, which sucks。 Instead, it gives an access code that you can use only once, from what I’ve heard。 However, I did find a dope hack for this。 It usually requires an assessment that you’d have to pay like 20 bucks for。 Instead of doing that, you can take the High5 strength finder test that’s free, then cross reference it with the 34 themes list that is described in strengths indeed。 I’m sure the descriptions in the High5 test are based off of the Gallup studies, so you should find similar descriptions on the website。 It’s neat to see where you’re strong in, and gives some advice for blind spots and who you can partner with。 I really like the descriptions and reasons why you gotta focus on your strengths instead of continuously strengthening weaknesses。 I don’t know why anyone would read and memorize all 34 themes when yours only matters。 Anyways, it’s alright for a strength finding thing 。。。more

I like the premise of this personality test- focus on honing your strengths and making the most of them instead of seeking to constantly improve weaknesses。 It’s a really interesting idea。
