Lovely book but I have an issue with the size of the print。 Trying to follow a pattern in the book requires the eyesight of a rabbit that’s had plenty of carrots。 I can see me having to finagle some means to enlarge the patterns if I’m going to be able to use the book as intended - as a pattern book。 It’s a disappointment that this book sacrificed style over substance。

Well。 I might've bitten off more than I can chew。 There I go thinking I've got socks down。 It looks daunting。 Here's to the challenge and potential euphoria of learning a new skill (or two)。So many patterns。 I like the paper and the feel of the book。 The photographs are lovely。 I'm going to start with the first pattern (and learn? toe-up?)OH one thing: I printed out the errata (which you can google) because little oversights/errors often happen with a new knitting book。 Well。 I might've bitten off more than I can chew。 There I go thinking I've got socks down。 It looks daunting。 Here's to the challenge and potential euphoria of learning a new skill (or two)。So many patterns。 I like the paper and the feel of the book。 The photographs are lovely。 I'm going to start with the first pattern (and learn? toe-up?)OH one thing: I printed out the errata (which you can google) because little oversights/errors often happen with a new knitting book。 。。。more

I've only knit one of these so far, but the book is GORGEOUS! From the linen cover to the beautiful photographs, I love it。 The only thing I think it is missing, is an introduction to the individual designers and maybe a little note about the story behind, or inspiration for, each pair of socks。 I've only knit one of these so far, but the book is GORGEOUS! Really beautifully put together book with great photographs and clearly written patterns。 I don't normally buy pattern books because there's often more that I would never make vs ones I would, but in this one, there's maybe just two or three that aren't my cup of tea so it was well worth the purchase。 I also was happy that it includes sock patterns for different yarn weights, from sport and DK to bulky, as I live in a colder climate and also love to make cozy thick socks for gifts。 Really beautifully put together book with great photographs and clearly written patterns。 I don't normally buy pattern books because there's often more that I would never make vs ones I would, but in this one, there's maybe just two or three that aren't my cup of tea so it was well worth the purchase。 I also was happy that it includes sock patterns for different yarn weights, from sport and DK to bulky, as I live in a colder climate and also love to make cozy thick socks for gifts。 。。。more

Beautiful book with an incredible assortment of sock patterns。 There’s a little bit of everything- lace, cables, toe up, slippers, etc。 With my first read through I’d say there are maybe two patterns I won’t even attempt。 But that has more to do with my ability than design or appearance of the finished product。 I’m so excited to get started on these!

A wonderful collection of socks from designers around the world。 Featuring toe up, cuff down and several slipper patterns as well。 I am really looking forward to starting my next set of socks using one of these patterns。 Book comes with a ribbon bound into the spine so you can mark your page, and is tacitly fun to hold with it's tweedy textured cover。 A wonderful collection of socks from designers around the world。 Featuring toe up, cuff down and several slipper patterns as well。 I am really looking forward to starting my next set of socks using one of these patterns。 Book comes with a ribbon bound into the spine so you can mark your page, and is tacitly fun to hold with it's tweedy textured cover。 。。。more
