I was so close to giving this book 3 stars。 Then I thought about giving it 5 stars。 Throughout this book， Maxon didn’t talk to America that much and I get it。 I do， but I really wanted them to actually communicate more than once every few chapters。 It was definitely not as good as the first book， but I will still definitely be buying the third one and looking forward to reading it and continuing with America and Maxon’s story。

Sin duda me gustó mucho más que el anterior。Conocimos más a Maxon，cosa que me encantó y vimos más a Aspen， para mi desgracia。Ta La reina y al rey en más profundidad。Hubo mucho más drama en este， teniendo en cuenta que conocemos a la “rival” de América， y también conocemos varios secretos que tiene Illéa。 No tengo mucho para decir， es un libro que se lee igual de rápido que el anterior y esperemos que en tercer libro nos de un final digno para la trilogía。

No diré que me decepcionó ， me quedo con el primero por qué este libro me desespero demasiado ， entre ese triagulo amoroso doble ， no tengo nada en contra de Kriss pero se me hizo innecesario y pudimos evitar demasiado drama si quitamos eso ， pero ame a Maxon por alguna razón y como odio a su padre en verdad que lo hago pero me gustó el libro estoy ansiosa por leer el tercero y apesar de que no me ha encantado me gustó mucho。

I’ve finished reading this a few hours ago but didn’t get to write the review since I was lazy HAHA。 Anyways， I’m not sure what rating to give this book exactly since I haven’t read any book series before so I don’t know whether I’m supposed to simply give my opinion as if it were a standalone or compare it to the first book。 I’ll start by saying that this definitely took more time to finish than The Selection。 Not because it was longer or anything， but simply because it wasn’t as compelling and I’ve finished reading this a few hours ago but didn’t get to write the review since I was lazy HAHA。 Anyways， I’m not sure what rating to give this book exactly since I haven’t read any book series before so I don’t know whether I’m supposed to simply give my opinion as if it were a standalone or compare it to the first book。 I’ll start by saying that this definitely took more time to finish than The Selection。 Not because it was longer or anything， but simply because it wasn’t as compelling and fun to read。 I have to be honest， I did find some parts of the book annoying and boring。 Especially when it came to America， Maxon and Aspen。 I know that this love triangle is what most of the plot is about in the series but I found it very annoying that she would just jump from one guy to another。 Though don’t get the wrong impression， I did find the process of her figuring out her feelings interesting， I just thought she shouldn’t be with either of them until she made her decision。 What I loved most about The Elite is how America became this beautiful and brave woman who isn’t afraid to stand up for what she believes is right。 I also admire the bond she has with her maids， unlike the other girls， she’s always very kind and caring with them。 Overall， I’d give this a 4。25 / 5 because I don’t think it’s so bad that it deserves a 4， but I don’t think it’s better than the first book for it to be a 5。 But since GoodReads doesn’t allow me to put other rates than 4 or 5， I’d give it a 4 just to show that I enjoyed The Selection more。 To sum it up， I really did enjoy reading it and I can’t wait to start ‘The One’！ 。。。more
