Beautiful illustrations。 The story isn't quite as engaging as the art work, but it still holds my young boy's attention for the full 40 minutes it takes to read aloud。 Beautiful illustrations。 The story isn't quite as engaging as the art work, but it still holds my young boy's attention for the full 40 minutes it takes to read aloud。 。。。more

I received a free ARC from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review。 Love the illustrations in this book。 So unique and fit so well with the story。 A short read for beginning and intermediate readers。

Viisi tähteä todella kauniista kuvituksesta!
Ashley,
The kids, especially the little three, really loved this book。 The pictures were beautiful, the chapters were short, and the story moved quickly。 Honestly the build up was bigger than the ending for me, but they loved it so that's all that matters! Hieno kuvitus, tarina jäi aika kevyeksi。 Mutta varmasti uppoaa perheen pienimpiin, itselle mielenkiintoisinta oli tietoisku lopussa。

Angela,
I have read the other books from this series couple of years and I had the impression it insisted more on the human part than this book。 Nevertheless it is a nice book, a intro in science discussions with kids and a lot of beautiful drawings。
Minna Hautaluoma,
Todella kaunis kuvakirja, missä vieläpä kiva seikkailutarina。 Toivottavasti sarjan muutkin osat suomennetaan。 Upea kuvitus!Porin lukuhaasteen kohtaan 7, kirjassa matkustetaan kulkuneuvolla。
Andreea Olteanu,

'Edison: The Mystery of the Missing Mouse Treasure' with story and art by Torben Kuhlmann continues the series of lavishly illustrated books about mice who seem connected to great figures in history。A young mouse goes to his professor when he learns of a sunken treasure his grandfather left him。 The mice work to invent something that will take them to a shipwreck and the treasure promised。 What they find at the bottom of the sea is not your ordinary treasure。These are interesting stories, but do 'Edison: The Mystery of the Missing Mouse Treasure' with story and art by Torben Kuhlmann continues the series of lavishly illustrated books about mice who seem connected to great figures in history。A young mouse goes to his professor when he learns of a sunken treasure his grandfather left him。 The mice work to invent something that will take them to a shipwreck and the treasure promised。 What they find at the bottom of the sea is not your ordinary treasure。These are interesting stories, but don't have a ton of tie in with the famous figures, so while the book is titled Edison, he is kind of a background character。 The illustrations are amazing and they are detailed。 I really like the illustration style and these would be fun books for younger readers。I received a review copy of this ebook from North South Books Inc。 and NetGalley in exchange for an honest review。 Thank you for allowing me to review this ebook。 。。。more

Here's the story of a brave, smart, and adventurous mouse! This book is a LOT of fun! If you, or your family, like anything with mice stories, and I could name quite a few famous ones in film and in other books, then you are bound to love this story。 First, the illustrations are screen worthy! The artwork is top=notch。 Then the story flows beautifully with the artwork。 I love the mice going under the sea。 I like the sprinkle of history, and science, in with the mythos of mice being able to do br Here's the story of a brave, smart, and adventurous mouse! Nicely written story with rich illustrations, enticing children to keep on reading by themselves, feeling that they efforts are minimal, as the huge picture-pages carry them through the adventures。 The characters are quickly taken to heart and tiny details to be discovered in the graphics give a more personal hue to the experience。 The size and format is also appealing to children, as I have noticed。The extra information available at the end is the hard factual content that makes both children a Nicely written story with rich illustrations, enticing children to keep on reading by themselves, feeling that they efforts are minimal, as the huge picture-pages carry them through the adventures。 The characters are quickly taken to heart and tiny details to be discovered in the graphics give a more personal hue to the experience。 The size and format is also appealing to children, as I have noticed。The extra information available at the end is the hard factual content that makes both children and adults happy to have been part of a piece of fiction firmly anchored into reality。 As my 9 year-old son was enchanted with this first taste of Kuhlmann and Edison, we have purchased the whole series of books。 We are currently engulfed into the Einstein adventure。My son is not generally an avid reader, but when it comes to these books, the complete reading only takes a few sittings - he is delighted with his progress and I am happy he is slowly turning into a more knowledgeable little man。 。。。more

Nice volume for a read-aloud, a perfect bridge between picture books and chapter books。 Cute story, but the artwork is what really shines and bumps a 2-3* plot to 4* book for my family。

Tompkins County Public Library Youth Services,
The illustrations in Kuhlmann’s books are among the best I’ve ever seen。 His series of scientist mouse books are wonderful for early elementary children。 They’re longer then most picture books and the details in its realistic illustrations really pull you in。 My 7 year old LOVED them。 Highly recommended。
Ashley,
Super cute book, great read aloud for my 4 year old just getting into chapter books, and my curious 6 year old。 Nice, big pictures too that helped tell the story。
Megan,
Fantastic art!!! The story was not particularly captivating。 It felt like the text was an afterthought to the visual story that the author wanted to tell。 This would be a good pick for a young reader ready for chapter books。
