I have read the other books from this series couple of years and I had the impression it insisted more on the human part than this book。 Nevertheless it is a nice book， a intro in science discussions with kids and a lot of beautiful drawings。

Nicely written story with rich illustrations， enticing children to keep on reading by themselves， feeling that they efforts are minimal， as the huge picture-pages carry them through the adventures。 The characters are quickly taken to heart and tiny details to be discovered in the graphics give a more personal hue to the experience。 The size and format is also appealing to children， as I have noticed。The extra information available at the end is the hard factual content that makes both children a Nicely written story with rich illustrations， enticing children to keep on reading by themselves， feeling that they efforts are minimal， as the huge picture-pages carry them through the adventures。 The characters are quickly taken to heart and tiny details to be discovered in the graphics give a more personal hue to the experience。 The size and format is also appealing to children， as I have noticed。The extra information available at the end is the hard factual content that makes both children and adults happy to have been part of a piece of fiction firmly anchored into reality。 As my 9 year-old son was enchanted with this first taste of Kuhlmann and Edison， we have purchased the whole series of books。 We are currently engulfed into the Einstein adventure。My son is not generally an avid reader， but when it comes to these books， the complete reading only takes a few sittings - he is delighted with his progress and I am happy he is slowly turning into a more knowledgeable little man。 。。。more

The illustrations in Kuhlmann’s books are among the best I’ve ever seen。 His series of scientist mouse books are wonderful for early elementary children。 They’re longer then most picture books and the details in its realistic illustrations really pull you in。 My 7 year old LOVED them。 Highly recommended。

Fantastic art！！！ The story was not particularly captivating。 It felt like the text was an afterthought to the visual story that the author wanted to tell。 This would be a good pick for a young reader ready for chapter books。
