Always the rebel is book 10 in the Never the Bride series。 But please don't let that stop you from reading it if you haven't read the others。 All books work great by on their own and don't need to be read in order。 But this is just another great book in one of my favorite historical romance series。 Pick it up today, you won't be able to put it down! Miss Sophia Worsley has been jilted TWICE and at the ripe age of 23, has decided she is done trying to get married。 She starts wearing breeches, and even attending Almack's。 This catches the attention of our hero, Philip Egerton, Earl of Marnmouth, who at the age of 42, is finally ready to marry, if only to escape the boredom。 But when he finds Sophie he is instantly intrigued but she wants nothing to do with him。 It was fun to see their banter and cat/mouse type of game to be played。 。。。more

It's a great reference 。。。If only there was a way to "go to" the stories to help with a Sunday School curriculum! In this regard, the hard copy "real" book is MUCH BETTER than the electronic version。 This is probably more of a comment for Amazon than the author/publisher。 I'm sure there are other books where this sort of a feature could be helpful。 It's a great reference 。。。If only there was a way to "go to" the stories to help with a Sunday School curriculum! I wanted to learn more about the Bible but decided to start with baby steps。 This book is simple, more like a bedtime story。 I have to look for one for the toddler step。

I received a free copy from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review。 This is about the twice jilted bride from the previous story; Sophia。 In the last book, she came off as controlling and a little harsh。 I think everything I thought about lady Romeril as a bit of elitist from the last book was corrected quickly in chapter 1- she has a soft spot for women in a hard spot, and truly means well。 Sophia still comes off as a shrew after learning a little more about her, but now she has Reasons。 Af I received a free copy from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review。 This is about the twice jilted bride from the previous story; Sophia。 In the last book, she came off as controlling and a little harsh。 I think everything I thought about lady Romeril as a bit of elitist from the last book was corrected quickly in chapter 1- she has a soft spot for women in a hard spot, and truly means well。 Sophia still comes off as a shrew after learning a little more about her, but now she has Reasons。 After finishing, this wasn’t what I expected, and that’s because it’s much better than the last。 He was an idiot about some things, but not about what mattered。 I really liked this one and kind of want to see the twins go through their stories but will it be one book or two? 。。。more

Thank you netgalley for providing this ARC in exchange for an honest review。Unfortunately i could not get into this historical romance。 While there was plenty of passion between protagonists, they moved too fast。 Sophia is so bent on being seen as a rebel that she places herself in the hands of the earl who I believe is in lust rather than love。 This novel lacks depth and originality。

Another great addition to the Never the Bride Series。 I highly recommend this as well as the previous books in the series。I hated Sophia's character in Always the Widow, but found myself starting to soften toward her while reading her story。 Although fed up with men and wanting to rebel, deep inside it seems she still is looking for love。 She is not as bad a person as she appears to be in the previous book。 Being a victim of circumstance has shaped who she is now。Thanks Emily K Murdoch, Dragonbl Another great addition to the Never the Bride Series。 I highly recommend this as well as the previous books in the series。I hated Sophia's character in Always the Widow, but found myself starting to soften toward her while reading her story。 Although fed up with men and wanting to rebel, deep inside it seems she still is looking for love。 She is not as bad a person as she appears to be in the previous book。 Being a victim of circumstance has shaped who she is now。Thanks Emily K Murdoch, Dragonblade Publishing and NetGalley for allowing me an advance copy for my honest feedback。 Honestly, it was a very enjoyable read。 。。。more

This second book in a series by Bonnie Dee is a romantic Edwardian era novel set amidst the struggle for suffrage and equality in England。 Rose has recently opened a florist shop when she meets the best friend of her business partner, a seemingly mild-mannered and shy member of the aristocracy。 As someone who recently made her way out of the slums of London, she fears there is no future for them even though he presents a strong temptation。As Rose and Will sort through their own insecurities and This second book in a series by Bonnie Dee is a romantic Edwardian era novel set amidst the struggle for suffrage and equality in England。 Rose has recently opened a florist shop when she meets the best friend of her business partner, a seemingly mild-mannered and shy member of the aristocracy。 As someone who recently made her way out of the slums of London, she fears there is no future for them even though he presents a strong temptation。As Rose and Will sort through their own insecurities and relationship, Rose is also involved with the Women's Parliament organization fighting for suffering。 Through this group, she meets a young lady in need of assistance and Will steps up to help, offering Rose unconditional and surprisingly effective support。Overall, the story was interesting and worth the read。 I found the characters enjoyable, particularly Will, as I am partial to the insecure bookish type。 The plot related to Women's Parliament seemed irrelevant to the overall story, but was a nice piece of history。 I had a bit of trouble settling into the mood of the story。 It had the tone of a sweet period romance, but there are occasional intimate scenes between the characters that are awkwardly written and seem to be intended to be a bit on the steamy side。 They were a bit jarring。I do recommend the book。 I have not read the first book in the series and do not feel like I missed anything by reading this book first。 。。。more

The first Bible I ever read, and also the longest book I read at the time。 I must've been seven or so and still remember it really well。 It does a great job at painting sunshine and smiling faces over the brutality and cruelty of the Bible。 Great way of indoctrinating your children before they develop critical faculties! Of all the books we have, my son wants to read "the Bible book" for his bedtime story。 We started around the time he was ~2。5, reading three stories each night。 There's enough content that I don't get bored having to repeat the book once we get to the end。 I think he likes the pictures and the characters, particularly Jesus。 I think the illustrations are fine, thought I must note that some of the pictures are borderline inappropriate, with about half of the women depicted with very form-fitting Of all the books we have, my son wants to read "the Bible book" for his bedtime story。 We started around the time he was ~2。5, reading three stories each night。 There's enough content that I don't get bored having to repeat the book once we get to the end。 I think he likes the pictures and the characters, particularly Jesus。 I think the illustrations are fine, thought I must note that some of the pictures are borderline inappropriate, with about half of the women depicted with very form-fitting clothes。 The worst culprit is one where the disciples are baptizing people, and the book depicts a woman with skin-tight clothing, with big blue water droplets on her clothes where her nipples would be。 I thought, hey, maybe it's just me noticing that, but my wife was the first one to vocalize it。 :-P 。。。more

It was great to read the exact same copy of this that my sister and I grew up reading obsessively (it still has all of her stickers in it) to Jackson。 It's really quite well done, and the pictures really engaged him in addition to the text being the right level。 I wish it would have included more stories, especially in the New Testament。 There are only 5 from Acts through the end of the New Testament, hence the 4 stars。 I am sure that we will re-read this, and that before too long, Jackson will It was great to read the exact same copy of this that my sister and I grew up reading obsessively (it still has all of her stickers in it) to Jackson。 It's really quite well done, and the pictures really engaged him in addition to the text being the right level。 I wish it would have included more stories, especially in the New Testament。 There are only 5 from Acts through the end of the New Testament, hence the 4 stars。 I am sure that we will re-read this, and that before too long, Jackson will be reading it himself。 。。。more

This book does what it says。 I reread it having read it when I was very young and was predictably vaguely unsettled by seeing textures and colors I had not accessed in memories since age 6 or whatever bouncing back to the forefront of my mind, but then upon completing this book (i had suspected may have been updated considering I was reading it digitally) I realized the book I read was a different edition with a different illustrator and presumably slightly differently written stories, yet they This book does what it says。 I reread it having read it when I was very young and was predictably vaguely unsettled by seeing textures and colors I had not accessed in memories since age 6 or whatever bouncing back to the forefront of my mind, but then upon completing this book (i had suspected may have been updated considering I was reading it digitally) I realized the book I read was a different edition with a different illustrator and presumably slightly differently written stories, yet they retained the same art style and odd touches。 Weird。 OK 。。。more
