I definitely give this nifty novel 5 stars!

I love seeing more of this story after the world is saved。 I feel like for a children's show this comic book really hits on so many deep topics that other stories (even adult ones do not)。 It goes beyond the happily ever after to explore the challenges of peace。 Excited for the rest! Probably 3。5 stars。This comic picks up right where the tv series left off, and it's nice to have that continuation。 There is a one year time skip, but everything still flows naturally, the main characters all get a decent amount of exposure, and everyone remains true to their tv personality。There isn't a ton that happens in this book to be honest, the plot becomes somewhat predictable, but the story is still enjoyable。The art style also remains quite true to the tv series and the action scenes a Probably 3。5 stars。This comic picks up right where the tv series left off, and it's nice to have that continuation。 There is a one year time skip, but everything still flows naturally, the main characters all get a decent amount of exposure, and everyone remains true to their tv personality。There isn't a ton that happens in this book to be honest, the plot becomes somewhat predictable, but the story is still enjoyable。The art style also remains quite true to the tv series and the action scenes are captured nicely and easy to follow。 。。。more

Reading this third time, I noticed this exchange where Katara angrily corrects Sokka on Smellerbee's pronouns。 Is this a confirmation that Smellerbee is canonically trans? It's certainly canonical confirmation that pronouns are to be respected。 I'm working on the HTML; click the image to see it in full。 Reading this third time, I noticed this exchange where Katara angrily corrects Sokka on Smellerbee's pronouns。 Is this a confirmation that Smellerbee is canonically trans? (For the whole series The Promise) It’s a little bittersweet to revisit our heroes after the conclusion of the tv show and realize that not all problems have been solved。 This is well-written and very true to the characters, although it seems there are some plot holes, and the conclusion is lacking。 Still, highly recommended for ATLA fans。

Omg wow! I was not expecting it to touch on colonisation, land rights, immigration and equality。 So Amazing!!! A perfect way to continue on from the show。

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it, click here。 A bit short but It still had the same feel as the show it some parts。 Zuko felt a little out of character and Katara and Aangs’s relationship felt a little odd at times but I still liked it。

I thought it was OK it needs to be more like the real Avatar the last airbender。But。。。other then that if you like Avatar and want to read some then I'd rec amend it。 :) I thought it was OK it needs to be more like the real Avatar the last airbender。But。。。other then that if you like Avatar and want to read some then I'd rec amend it。 :) 。。。more

Aang, stop trying to make “Flameo Hotman” a thing。

I loved getting back into this world。 The ATLA writers continue to spin a tale that’s both light-hearted and eye-opening。 I’ve never seen a kids’ show handle a war the way ATLA did, and in this comic that picks up directly after the series finale, we get a glimpse of how team avatar plans to rebuild their world and the challenges that are going to come with it。 As I’ve always said with ATLA, it portrays the consequences of war and conquering and colonialism incredibly well

Love to see the Gaang together again!

It never ceases to amaze me how beautifully ATLA/LoK handles difficult and complex themes。 This carries on so seamlessly from the show, everything was perfect。Also Uncle Iroh invented boba tea which is pretty rad。

I had the best time ever reading the first one of the graphic novels and can‘t wait to pick-up The Search。 The notes on the sides distracted me at first, but U enjoyed having some details about the creative process and how everything came together。 The whole Avatar stories have so many layers and contain so many lessons you can learn from。 It always shows me a how much we should concentrate on our deep connection with ourselves but also with others。 Truly wonderful。
