I think this book is hilarious because how could a professor be named professor Pippy P。 Poopypants。

Cris

The fourth book in the Captain Underpants series actually has a really good moral, don’t pick on anyone! It’s not insinuated in the book, it’s stated, so everyone learns this lesson。 I’m still curious to see where they take this serious。

I didn’t really like the book。 My sisters wanted me to read it and it was funny, but too funny。 I respect Diaper baby a little too much。 This book just wasn’t as good。

The most memorable part of this book is definitely the name-change-chart。 Any kid would have fun with that。

Captain Underpants and the Perilous Plot of Professor Poopypants is the fourth book in the phenomenal Captain Underpants series。 This book starts off following Professor Pippy P。 Poopypants, who gets laughed off the stage because of his name while introducing his new shrink-ray and growth-ray。 Meanwhile, George and Harold force their science teacher into quitting through their outrageous pranks。 Professor Poopypants decides to apply for the open science teacher job, and is in turn humiliated by Captain Underpants and the Perilous Plot of Professor Poopypants is the fourth book in the phenomenal Captain Underpants series。 This book starts off following Professor Pippy P。 Poopypants, who gets laughed off the stage because of his name while introducing his new shrink-ray and growth-ray。 Meanwhile, George and Harold force their science teacher into quitting through their outrageous pranks。 Professor Poopypants decides to apply for the open science teacher job, and is in turn humiliated by George and Harold。 Out for revenge, Professor Poopypants shrinks the school and enlarges the class hamster。 George and Harold, together with Captain Underpants, then must bring an end to Poopypants' reign of terror。 At the end, after being hauled off to jail, Professor Poopypants changes his name so he won't be made fun of anymore - to Tippy Tinkletrousers。I gave this book five stars because all these Captain Underpants books are fantastic。 It brings fun and enjoyment and laughter to children, and also to me。 Books like these encourage young kids to read because it feels more like fun than a responsibility。 。。。more

For more reviews, check out my blog: Craft-Cycle Another fun and hilarious adventure featuring Captain Underpants and a brand new villain。 The audiobook is so much fun and well adapted from the visual-heavy original format。 Details in the pictures are worked into the narration and dialogue so it is easy to enjoy in its new audio format。 Also includes epic music, different voice actors and voice changes for different characters, and Sound-o-rama, a fun alternative to the original Flip-o-rama。Als For more reviews, check out my blog: Craft-Cycle Another fun and hilarious adventure featuring Captain Underpants and a brand new villain。 The audiobook is so much fun and well adapted from the visual-heavy original format。 Details in the pictures are worked into the narration and dialogue so it is easy to enjoy in its new audio format。 Also includes epic music, different voice actors and voice changes for different characters, and Sound-o-rama, a fun alternative to the original Flip-o-rama。Also loved the little details for the audiobook such as converting all the names of those who helped create the audiobook with Professor P's name chart。While I love the silliness of these books and the gross-out humor, I don't enjoy this one quite as much as some of the others in the series。 Though Pilkey wanted to have a little moral about name calling and hurting people's feelings, I do dislike how mental health is treated in the book。 George and Harold go too far in making someone quit their job because they think they are mentally unwell。 It's meant to be funny but seems to take the joke too far。 He's the one teacher who isn't outright terrible to the kids and it's sad to see him treated that way。 It's a small detail but I disliked the negative associations of "crazy" people, especially in a book targeted to young readers。Still the book on the whole is funny。 The aspects of mental health are small details in the plot that I think could have been handled better but aren't developed enough to affect the plot too much。 I do like the fun way of presenting silly names as a way to show why you shouldn't make fun of people and also showing not to take yourself too seriously。Well-adapted to the audio format with fun details that make it even more engaging。 。。。more

Five stars primarily because of the silly name generator。 I used that to create ridiculous names for all my family members when I was a kid (also over this past weekend)。

Chris

It was a really funny and super fast-paced children’s chapter book。 It had really zany illustrations, really great characters, really fun adventure, really cockamamy comedy and a really wacky storyline。 I’m really looking forward to read more books in this series。 I really recommend this book to both kids and adults。

Eric Baugh

Good book would recommend to children who are first starting to read chapter books

It was another Captain Underpants book。 I didn't think it was as strong as the last one, but it was better than the one before that。 It had some charming moments, but I also didn't care for the plot even if the little one had a blast with the name change charts。 It was another Captain Underpants book。 I didn't think it was as strong as the last one, but it was better than the one before that。 It had some charming moments, but I also didn't care for the plot even if the little one had a blast with the name change charts。 。。。more

First there was the origin and a guy in a diaper, then there was an army of talking toilets, then there were aliens, nerdish zombies and a dandelion。 Now George and Harold face a madman with a silly name? When it comes to the stories involving Captain Underpants, The Perilous Plot of Professor Poopypants' would have to be the most enjoyable of the earlier books。 As I said, George and Harold now face off against the plans of a ruthless science teacher named Pippy P。 Poopypants (No pun intended)。 First there was the origin and a guy in a diaper, then there was an army of talking toilets, then there were aliens, nerdish zombies and a dandelion。 Now George and Harold face a madman with a silly name? Or will the world face certain doom at the hands of a man with a silly name? While I liked the previous 3 books, I found a lot of enjoyment reading #4。 The pacing is perfect and the illustrations help to support what the story says。 While I appreciate Dav Pilkey's style of humor in previous installments, I found a lot more slapstick here when he came up with a villain that has a ridiculous name。 I know I said that the villains in the previous three (aside from the Turbo Toilet being used again in #11) weren't as strong。 But when I read about Professor Poopypants, I find him really funny (mainly because of his name)。 And when he changes his name at the end (which he uses in future books), it gets even funnier。 Professor Poopypants (later named Tippy Tinkletrousers) has to be my favorite villain of Captain Underpants' rogues gallery。 If you have read the books up to this point, everything within this one is pretty much the same formula with the same gross humor and a villain with a really silly name that could have you laughing too。 So if you want your kids to read it, or if you're feeling nostalgic, give it a read and draw your own conclusion。 。。。more

Another installment, with the humor ampted up。 Our favorite part was where everyone (including the reader) had to change their names。

Ironically, probably the best of the series, but still horrible。

It was great。 :) It was a fun read and it reminded me of my childhood。

This one was fun and is heavily featured in the movie。 The animators did a great job bringing the artwork to life。 And if you've heard kids watch or read this, you know they think "Poopypants" is truly the funniest name ever。 If you've done or watched any improv type shows with fake names, you might know adults often find it funny too。I love how the author takes what he experienced as being a kid labeled with ADHD and turned it into books which all kids can enjoy。 This one was fun and is heavily featured in the movie。 The animators did a great job bringing the artwork to life。 And if you've heard kids watch or read this, you know they think "Poopypants" is truly the funniest name ever。 If you've done or watched any improv type shows with fake names, you might know adults often find it funny too。I love how the author takes what he experienced as being a kid labeled with ADHD and turned it into books which all kids can enjoy。 。。。more

My 8 year old & 7 year old son & daughter loved this book! We listened to it in the car and the “sound-o-Rama” really makes listening to the book so much fun。 All of Dav Pilkey’s books are really engaging for kids!

Professor poopy pants。 Hilarious name。 He would have been a great teacher if he had a other name。 At the last when George (or Harold I don't remember) said he could just change his name he put a better name but it was still a funny name。 He could have put a better name。 And when he went to jail everyone was laughing at him。 And i don't understand how the flip- o Rama works。 And in the middle of the book they couldn't go to play video games and eat pizza。 But after they came back they put a sort Professor poopy pants。 Hilarious name。 He would have been a great teacher if he had a other name。 At the last when George (or Harold I don't remember) said he could just change his name he put a better name but it was still a funny name。 He could have put a better name。 And when he went to jail everyone was laughing at him。 And i don't understand how the flip- o Rama works。 And in the middle of the book they couldn't go to play video games and eat pizza。 But after they came back they put a sort of trap。 It was very funny but i think that the place the other kids were going to would have been more fun。 And in the middle of the book he declared everyone's name different。 He said everyone's front name he put al of the letters on a bord and put a other name in front of the letters。 。。。more

4/26 29。 I noticed that Captain Underpants is a hero or character that the George and Harold created with now clothes just under pants and a cape that is a ugly rug。 He is a teacher and George and Harold made him in to a hero。4/28 20。My opinion of the illustrations, table, and figures is very unique because i feel like the author got what ever came to his mind and he drew everything。 My opinion is that he didnt even mean to come up with captain undrpants, I wouldve called him captain tinkle。4/30 4/26 29。 I noticed that Captain Underpants is a hero or character that the George and Harold created with now clothes just under pants and a cape that is a ugly rug。 He is a teacher and George and Harold made him in to a hero。4/28 20。My opinion of the illustrations, table, and figures is very unique because i feel like the author got what ever came to his mind and he drew everything。 My opinion is that he didnt even mean to come up with captain undrpants, I wouldve called him captain tinkle。4/30 21。As I read, I felt that anything is possible because I feel like this author, Dav Pilkey didnt care what people had to say about his drawing or his writing。 Because, I feel like if i just got pieces of paper and start writing a book or comic i wouldnt care what the public have to say about it。 #HATERGONHATE 。。。more

Jorge and Berto are such cute little characters who get into so much trouble。 I like this series a little less than the Dog Man series, but it is still cute。 The poor clueless antagonist in this one made me laugh as well。
