Tanjiro and friends fight on a TRAIN！ Love me some trains！ What sticks out to me the most about this series is how kind Tanjiro is， usually the shonen protagonist will have a bid mid-fight revelation about how their friends are always with them and they're never alone and blah blah blah look at Tanjiro freely talking about that while chilling and hanging out with people！ His heart is literally so warm and kind that it can heal the sadness in others！ Who cares about his water forms or whatever 'f Tanjiro and friends fight on a TRAIN！ Love me some trains！ What sticks out to me the most about this series is how kind Tanjiro is， usually the shonen protagonist will have a bid mid-fight revelation about how their friends are always with them and they're never alone and blah blah blah look at Tanjiro freely talking about that while chilling and hanging out with people！ His heart is literally so warm and kind that it can heal the sadness in others！ Who cares about his water forms or whatever 'flame breathing' is， he has a good smile！I wish Gotouge were better at creating fight scenes。 The set-up is cool， the emotional weight behind every fight is cool， but the actual fighting and action scenes always take me out of it。 There's not a great flow to them， or how the moves come out， and compared to the dialogue and character acting it's a clear weak point。 。。。more

Kyojuro is kind of a fun character and it matches with his fire style of breathing and I also like that we do delve into his backstory and get more insight into the families that are part of the demon slayer corp。 Also the villain is kind of fun and a train is a cool setting for a fight with a demon。 And the idea of the demon have sleep powers makes sense since most people do sleep on a train。

So this is the manga volume that basically leaves off right where the first scene of the manga ended。 I haven't read the first six volumes because of the first season， but I will eventually go back and read them。 I picked this up before the announcement of the movie coming to America， and now that it'll be available for viewing， I am even more excited about seeing it。 The story never ceases to keep giving and it is just getting progressively better as it goes on。 So this is the manga volume that basically leaves off right where the first scene of the manga ended。 I haven't read the first six volumes because of the first season， but I will eventually go back and read them。 I picked this up before the announcement of the movie coming to America， and now that it'll be available for viewing， I am even more excited about seeing it。 The story never ceases to keep giving and it is just getting progressively better as it goes on。 。。。more
