Shadow Storm by Christine Feehan is the 6th book in her fantastic Shadow Rider series。 I have waited for Emme’s story， and Shadow Storm was so good， I just pray Feehan continues this series; as this has become my favorite。 This entire series has been great so far， and Emmanuelle and Valentino’s story is the best one yet。Emme has been a major character throughout every book， as she is a fabulous heroine， and after seeing all her brothers find their mates， she is determined to allow herself to ent Shadow Storm by Christine Feehan is the 6th book in her fantastic Shadow Rider series。 I have waited for Emme’s story， and Shadow Storm was so good， I just pray Feehan continues this series; as this has become my favorite。 This entire series has been great so far， and Emmanuelle and Valentino’s story is the best one yet。Emme has been a major character throughout every book， as she is a fabulous heroine， and after seeing all her brothers find their mates， she is determined to allow herself to enter an arranged marriage。 But she has not gotten over her love of Val Saldi， the forbidden love; a man who helps run the Saldi crime family。 When Emme receives a desperation phone call that Val has been shot， and they need her help， she immediately drops everything to go to his rescue; but she smartly alerts her brother Stefano， and the entire Ferraro family will meet Emme， and help the Saldi’s against a hostile attack within the Saldi family。 Emme has not seen Val for two years， and she is immediately drawn back to him。 The hostile attack is stopped， and Val slowly recovers from his injuries， hell bent on winning Emme back into his life。 It is here that Emme will explain to her family， how when she was younger， she saw strange things like ropes all around her shadow。 Stefano and Ricco question Val， who claims he knows about the binding， but did not know much else， except what he researched from the old days of rumors。The Ferraro’s know Emme loves Val， and they will support her， as well as make a deal with Saldi to help stop the hostile takeover from another family member of the Saldi family。 Val loves Emme， and does not plan to allow her to run away again， he wants her to marry him。 Will the Ferraro’s allow Emme to marry their old enemy and make her happy？I loved how the Ferraro’s began to work closely with Val， Dario to find the culprits in the family， as well as discover who is behind the horrible trafficking ring selling very young children。 This was an emotional story on many levels; the mob war， the child porn ring， as well as the sizzling romance between Val and Emme。 He wasn’t happy that she wanted to remain a shadow rider， and she was determined to do what she was trained to do。 Over time she will not only work with her family， but at the same time use her ability to be in the shadows to help Val and Dario find the enemies within。Shadow Storm was an exciting， tense， heart pounding， nonstop edge of your seat action， from start to finish。 Their romance was steamy and I did love them together。 I loved seeing all the Ferraro’s again， as they were such a great family （not the mother Eloisa， who was horrible）。 Dario turned out to be a great character， and I would love for him to find a woman that could handle him。 😊 I also would like a story on Elie， who was also great， and Emme’s best friend。 Christine Feehan once again gives us a fabulous story， which as noted was the best one yet。 Shadow Storm was a great read， and so very well written by Feehan。 If you have not read this series， you need to start with the first book。 If you have read them all， you will love this one。BarbThe Reading Cafe 。。。more

I received an electronic ARC from Berkley Publishing Group through NetGalley。Could not have asked for more from this final book in the Ferraro sibling series。 Feehan brought the action， suspense and intense relationships readers have come to expect from her。 The youngest sibling and only female， Emmanuelle， has been featured in each of her brothers' stories。 Readers have been cheering for her and hoping her relationship with Valentino Saldi would resolve itself。 In classic Feehan style， the endi I received an electronic ARC from Berkley Publishing Group through NetGalley。Could not have asked for more from this final book in the Ferraro sibling series。 Feehan brought the action， suspense and intense relationships readers have come to expect from her。 The youngest sibling and only female， Emmanuelle， has been featured in each of her brothers' stories。 Readers have been cheering for her and hoping her relationship with Valentino Saldi would resolve itself。 In classic Feehan style， the ending which also serves as a beginning does just that。 The story flows smoothly and some of the twists are unexpected but fit the overall plot。 We learn more about several characters who I hope continue their own stories in future volumes。 Though much of her work lives in the gray shades of good and evil， her constant stance against true evil such as human trafficking comes through clearly。 Well done concluding volume。 Feehan returns to her strengths in creating this suspense filled story。 。。。more

Finally Shadow Storm is here with Valentino Saldi and Emmanuelle Ferraro’s story！！！ I have been waiting for our tough as nails female shadow rider to get her HEA with the sexy mafia prince！！ Everything in this one worked for me- the feuding families， the second chance love， the shadow myths and the mission to stop a human trafficking ring。 Emme has loved Val since she was sixteen， he was her first everything but he broke her heart when she found out he was using her for information on her family Finally Shadow Storm is here with Valentino Saldi and Emmanuelle Ferraro’s story！！！ I have been waiting for our tough as nails female shadow rider to get her HEA with the sexy mafia prince！！ Everything in this one worked for me- the feuding families， the second chance love， the shadow myths and the mission to stop a human trafficking ring。 Emme has loved Val since she was sixteen， he was her first everything but he broke her heart when she found out he was using her for information on her family。 Now years later， Val has been trying to get back into Emme’s life to prove that he didn’t cheat on her。 With a traitor in the Saldi family operation Emme and the Ferraro’s join the Saldi’s to stop a human trafficking operation， discover how their shadows are intertwined and hopefully reignite their relationship。 I have thought from the beginning of the series that Emme and Val would work out - there was no way he cheated on her but to read their backstory and delve into their characters more was very well done。 They both have issues- Emme with her self esteem after being beaten down by her mother -how much did I hate their mother- she was just a terrible human being。 I struggled with how Emme could have not known he was lying but with the mental abuse Emme suffered it made sense that she would believe the worst in Val。 Val with his self hatred for some of the darker things he does for the family - but they had to compromise， put is all aside and embrace who they are now and what they could be together。 Who else could these two stone cold killers be themselves with besides someone who understands， appreciates and accepts who they are - flaws and all。 The sex between them was steamy， as I expect and adore from CF- and there was enough grovel from both Emme and Val that I was fully invested in them getting together。 For people- like me - who enjoy Feehan’s writing style， like her PNR with an extra dose of belief suspension， wonderful characters and hot sex， this was definitely a winner。 I feel like this storyline had all the elements that I love from her， the bond of family， mafia， star crossed lovers， an old family myth and the darkness of the human trafficking and torture was all perfectly balanced。 I have loved the Shadow Riders series and Shadow Storm was the perfect book to wrap it all up。 With a teasing plot line that included the additional characters， Elie and Dario， the LA and New York Ferraro cousins， I don’t think we have see the last of the Shadow Riders and I will be pre-ordering those books！！I received an E-ARC of this book from the publisher in exchange for an honest review， all opinions are my own。 。。。more

Love。 Love。 Love。 This was just the conclusion I needed for them。 Emme and Valentino are hot and light up the pages。 Definitely a return to classic， wonderful Feehan。

As the conclusion of this tree of the Ferraro family Shadow Riders， Shadow Storm delivered on expectations。 Series followers have been hearing about Emmanuelle's story throughout all the other novels so getting the chance to finally find out the real details of her and Val's love story was wonderful！The over-arching confrontations that have been teased reaching it's culmination was also a capturing draw that keep you enthralled。 The Salde family conflict and ultimate reasons behind the Ferraro w As the conclusion of this tree of the Ferraro family Shadow Riders， Shadow Storm delivered on expectations。 Series followers have been hearing about Emmanuelle's story throughout all the other novels so getting the chance to finally find out the real details of her and Val's love story was wonderful！The over-arching confrontations that have been teased reaching it's culmination was also a capturing draw that keep you enthralled。 The Salde family conflict and ultimate reasons behind the Ferraro women being targeted was great to follow。 And I hope that having more mainstream authors writing about issues that appear in this novel: sex trafficking， child abuse， child/sex trafficking， etc。 make more people pay attention to the real problems we face everyday。This novel placed our character well to live their lives and most likely continue to appear in other stories in this series that I'm assuming will continue through other arms of the Ferrarro family。 。。。more

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it， click here。 Whoa， this was darker than I had anticipated。 I'll have to polish this ramble once I had a chance to process！I've been apprehensive about Emme's story as I am not that big a fan of second chance stories。 Having seen her struggle with her feelings for Val throughout the first five books in the series and knowing he hurt her I wasn't too keen， especially as she is a Rider and he is not， but I should have trusted Christine Feehan。We are introduced to an old Saldi myth that may be more than just a m Whoa， this was darker than I had anticipated。 I'll have to polish this ramble once I had a chance to process！I've been apprehensive about Emme's story as I am not that big a fan of second chance stories。 Having seen her struggle with her feelings for Val throughout the first five books in the series and knowing he hurt her I wasn't too keen， especially as she is a Rider and he is not， but I should have trusted Christine Feehan。We are introduced to an old Saldi myth that may be more than just a myth and has far reaching impact on the Riders。 Val also has to defend his territory against his uncle and try to shut down a horrific human trafficking ring he's been chasing for two years。I don't want to go into too much detail and risk spoiling this incredible read。 Let me just say that it starts with kick-ass action and doesn't really stop until the end。 Watching Emme face her feelings and be brave enough to actually speak her worst fears to Val is wonderful。 We finally discover what really happened and see from Val's point of view。 It's interesting to see things from his perspective as I'd always thought of him being the bad guy as he actually is a mob boss， but the Shadow Hunters are assassins。 They may work on catching evil that has slipped through the cracks or could not be nailed down， but they are killers。 Having a mob boss who rules his territory with an iron fist， protects his people， including women who in his strip clubs， and stop other factions from using his territory for even worse depravities is also part of fighting evil， even if it means they have to work on the same fields as that evil。 It's definitely a theme that Christine Feehan has used before。This is a tense and dark story that had my heart pounding and me worried if they were going to make it。 I was a little disappointed with the take down of the Big Bad as it seemed to happen so quickly and mostly off the page， but I guess fighting Val's uncle was the main story。It's funny to see how similar Val and Stefano are and I loved learning more about Val's bodyguard Dario and Emme's friend Elie。 I'm very much looking forward to their stories。TW sexual violence， assault， human trafficking， graphic violence 。。。more
