Summary

“James Goll is one of the most accurate prophets I know。”
—Sid Roth, It’s Supernatural!

The Scriptures give us a full-color picture of a God who is moved by emotions such as yearning, love, and compassion。 Our human emotions reflect the emotional qualities of our Creator, who made us in His own image。 Feelings have a vital place in any believer’s life, not just in those who have a more sensitive nature due to their personalities。

The Feeler by James W。 Goll delivers a remarkable biblical perspective on our emotions and how they help us to discern and act on God’s voice。 We experience the love, joy, and presence of God with our feelings。 Our emotions have an impact on our bodies, our level of holiness, our relationships, and our decisions。

The Bible tells us we need to have our “senses trained to discern good and evil” (Hebrews 5:14 NASB)。 What are we training? Both our natural senses and our spiritual senses。 Our physical senses, with the addition of “knowing,” correspond to our spiritual senses in these ways:
 Eyes (sight): visions and dreams
 Ears (hearing): voices and sounds
 Heart (touch): emotions and feelings
 Tongue (taste): good and evil
 Nose (smell): good and bad
Mind (knowing): divine thoughts and impressions
This book will show you how to listen for and recognize the often subtle ways God’s Spirit speaks to believers, as well as how to discern good and evil spirits。 With consecrated gifts and senses, you can reach out to the body of Christ and to the world at large in both spiritual and practical ways, making you much better equipped to fulfill your role as an ambassador of the gospel。

"The Feeler " by James W。 Goll shows us that God uses our emotions and that they are a reflection of Him。 There is plenty of Biblical scriptures in this book, some are written out but there are others that are listed for the reader to look up on their own。I will be reading this book again because I am definitely a feeler。 I am glad that this book points out that my feelings aren't wrong but it is how I use them that can make the difference on whether they are God lead or not。 Those of us that ar "The Feeler " by James W。 Goll shows us that God uses our emotions and that they are a reflection of Him。 There is plenty of Biblical scriptures in this book, some are written out but there are others that are listed for the reader to look up on their own。I will be reading this book again because I am definitely a feeler。 I am glad that this book points out that my feelings aren't wrong but it is how I use them that can make the difference on whether they are God lead or not。 Those of us that are feelers need to learn to not walk by our emotions alone but must seek the leading of the Spirit。 We truly need to be grounded in the Word Of God。The author tells us to check for "heart problems" such as self- rejection or unforgiveness or fear of others' opinions of us。 I have a lot of self-rejection but I am slowly releasing this into Jesus's loving arms。 The author shows us that we are to have compassion for ourselves as well as others。The prayers that are included are ones that we can pray and if we truly mean them, I believe they will impact our lives。I really think we should all live by this statement that the author points out, " Knowing that we ourselves are made of the same stuff as the next person should make us much more patient with others and help us live more compassionate lives。" I have already stated that I will be reading this book again because I to often let my emotions rule my actions。 I also how to admit I am not sure what I think about visions and etc。 I do recommend this book because of the excellent teachings on the gifts of The Holy Spirit and be lead by the Holy Spirit。 I was given a complementary copy by the author and Celebrate Lit and these opinions are my own。 。。。more

This is a good book that I think everyone should read。 It shows us how God gave us emotions and how they are a gift。 People have many different ways of showing and expressing their emotions, and God loves everyone。 God loves us regardless of our outlook。The author shares his relationship with his earthly father and tells how we sometimes attribute emotions from that relationship to our relationship with our heavenly Father。 The prayers were well timed and I think the overall book was really good This is a good book that I think everyone should read。 It shows us how God gave us emotions and how they are a gift。 People have many different ways of showing and expressing their emotions, and God loves everyone。 God loves us regardless of our outlook。The author shares his relationship with his earthly father and tells how we sometimes attribute emotions from that relationship to our relationship with our heavenly Father。 The prayers were well timed and I think the overall book was really good。4/5 for me。Thank you to the author/publisher for the review copy of this book via Celebrate Lit。 I received this book in exchange for an honest review and the opinions stated above are 100% mine。 。。。more

The Feeler by James W。 Goll is a Biblical look on how our emotions can connect us deeper to God。 I am a firm believer that God can use all for his glory - and the author shows how this is true with our feelings and emotions。 Each chapter is started with a bible verse that relates to the topic。 The author will then unpack the topic using several bible verses to tie it all together。 The author and his writing flowed nicely and everything spoke right to my heart。 This has been a very emotion filled The Feeler by James W。 Goll is a Biblical look on how our emotions can connect us deeper to God。 I am a firm believer that God can use all for his glory - and the author shows how this is true with our feelings and emotions。 Each chapter is started with a bible verse that relates to the topic。 The author will then unpack the topic using several bible verses to tie it all together。 The author and his writing flowed nicely and everything spoke right to my heart。 This has been a very emotion filled year for everyone - and this book shows how we can connect deeper with God。 The book asks questions throughout each chapter that encourages you to dig deeper and search。 I feel I am more feeler then not - and this book spoke volumes to meI received a copy of this book through the Celebrate Lit blogging program - all thoughts are my own。 。。。more

Emotions come from God。 I mean I think in part we all know this。 He gives them to us as part of our understanding of this world and to help us understand others。 But what if you’re like me? I tend to shy away touchy-feely people。 I tense up when someone wants to hug me and try to avoid it at all times。 That was me several years ago。 I have gotten better at hugs but I still hide my emotions very well。 This book was very helpful in many ways and I liked learning about how God shows us how much He loves us。 He doesn’t want us miserable and sad, but delights in our happiness。 Have you ever heard of the saying, “stinkin thinkin。” Well I will enlighten you on this term I quite often use。 I tend to shy away touchy-feely people。 I tense up when someone wants to hug me and try to avoid it at all times。 That was me several years ago。 I have gotten better at hugs but I still hide my emotions very well。 This book was very helpful in many ways and I liked learning about how God shows us how much He loves us。 He doesn’t want us miserable and sad, but delights in our happiness。 Have you ever heard of the saying, “stinkin thinkin。” Well I will enlighten you on this term I quite often use。 I have struggled with depression and anxiety for years。 My mind tends to look at things as sad and hopeless at times。 In this book I discovered that God really does love me and I need to grasp that truth。 My days of feeling unwanted and unloved are fading as I allow His words to soak my soul with hope。 I enjoyed reading the author’s story about verbal abuse and his strained relationship with his earthly father。 His openness helped me understand my own struggles and that I am God’s favorite。 Yes we each are each His favorite and should rejoice in that knowledge。 The author’s in-depth look at the Fruits of the Spirit are grounded in the Word and shows us how our emotions work closely with those gifts。 I really enjoyed the book and liked the prayer at the end of every chapter。 I walked away feeling better and have a fresh understanding about allowing our feelings to show。 We each have spiritual gifts that work together in harmony。 Each gift cannot function alone without the others。 I am reminded of a pastor illustrating this fact in a message once。 He said think about a bicycle。 It has many parts but what if a tire was missing? How would the bike work? Some of us have the gift of mercy, while others may have discernment, administrative, teaching or other gifts not listed here。 God designed us to use our gifts to work together to be His hands and feet。 I received a copy of this book from Celebrate Lit。 The review is my own opinion。 。。。more

That's a topic I personally haven't seen or heard much about。 This unique read takes on that idea and shares how God uses those emotions He has given each of us can better help us to understand Him。 Like I said, it's quite unique。 Filled with lots of Biblical references in addition to personal stories, this is certainly a book that will make readers think and might just offer some new perspective on our spiritual journeys。 It is definitely one worth checking out。 **Book received for consideration。 All thoughts are my own。 。。。more
