Summary

Frost Blood is about a warring kingdom that has over time been hunting down Fire Bloods-people who can control fire。 The kingdom is ruled by a Frost Blood that has been infected by a darkness that lives in the throne。 The main plot of this book is that Ruby （the main character） is trying to avenge her village and is a pawn for some monks that want to take down the current ruler。 The character development is good for some characters but was lacking for me for others。 The most well developed chara Frost Blood is about a warring kingdom that has over time been hunting down Fire Bloods-people who can control fire。 The kingdom is ruled by a Frost Blood that has been infected by a darkness that lives in the throne。 The main plot of this book is that Ruby （the main character） is trying to avenge her village and is a pawn for some monks that want to take down the current ruler。 The character development is good for some characters but was lacking for me for others。 The most well developed character- in my opinion- was Arcus， who is trying to use Ruby to take down the current king。 The main character， Ruby， does have growth as a character but I was not super invested in her until the last third of the book。 There is some enemies to lovers- slow burn- romance in this book， but it is very much a YA book in the romance aspect。 Overall， this was a fun book， the plot was there but wasn't overly intricate， and it didn't end on a cliffhanger which was nice。 It had good action， some twist， and a little bit of romance to make an enjoyable and fast read。 。。。more

Este libro nos embarga en un mundo que está dividido por los sangre de fuego y los sangre de hielo， en donde nuestra protagonista， Ruby， es una sangre de fuego está escondida junto con su mándate ya que el rey de hielo está capturando y matando a todos los sangre de fuego。 El libro comienza cuando un día los guardias del rey se enteran de ella y van a capturarla a su pueblo， con esto comienzan a pasar hecho muy tristes para Ruby como el que tiene que ver a su madre morir enfrente de sus ojos。 Lo Este libro nos embarga en un mundo que está dividido por los sangre de fuego y los sangre de hielo， en donde nuestra protagonista， Ruby， es una sangre de fuego está escondida junto con su mándate ya que el rey de hielo está capturando y matando a todos los sangre de fuego。 El libro comienza cuando un día los guardias del rey se enteran de ella y van a capturarla a su pueblo， con esto comienzan a pasar hecho muy tristes para Ruby como el que tiene que ver a su madre morir enfrente de sus ojos。 Los guardias la capturan y la encierran en la cárcel por varios meses hasta que un día dos sangre de hielo van a sacarla de la cárcel con la esperanza de que ella los ayude a acabar con el rey de hielo， y aunque parezca mucho， lo que acabe de decir es solo el comienzo del libro， ya que con estos hechos Ruby tendrá que aprender a confiar en los sangre de hielo y a poder controlar mejor sus poderes。 El libro es muy interesante， en especial todo el mundo que creo la escritora， es un mundo fantástico muy distinto a lo que ya había leído y la verdad fue de lo que más me gustó de la historia。 Tenía miedo de que este libro me decepcionara， no porque le tenia muchas expectativas， sino porque tenía miedo de que todo pasara muy rápido o fuera incongruente ya que no es un libro muy largo， y aunque si hubieron unas cosas que no me convencieron， al final el libro me sorprendió de muy grata manera。 Tiene un romance enemies to lovers que， aunque no me encantó， si me gustó， solo que lo sentí un poco apresurado， me hubiera gustado que el romance hubiera tenido una mejor evolución de la relación y que se ahondara más en los sentimientos de cada uno。 No le puse 5 estrellas porque siempre hubieron cositas que no fueron conmigo， esta lo del romance y también está lo de que algunas de las escenas de acción me parecieron un poco raras o muy “sencillas”， la verdad no se como explicarlo。 Además de eso， algo que tampoco me gustó mucho fue el final del libro， no se， no me terminó de convencer， eso si， el libro logró sorprenderme bastante y de verdad lo recomiendo si buscaba un libro de fantasía con un poco de romance y una guerra entre el fuego y el hielo。 。。。more

A story about seventeen year old Ruby who is the only Fireblood left。 Since she lives in a land ruled by frostblood， this is more than enough to get her killed。 One day， Ruby was brought by Monks and Arcus （frostblood） after helping her break free from prison。 They train her how to control her powers and use for their own purposes。 This is an adventure fantasy follows with a journey of a girl who seek revenge after she loses everything。 ———————————————My thoughts on the plot is that the plot was A story about seventeen year old Ruby who is the only Fireblood left。 Since she lives in a land ruled by frostblood， this is more than enough to get her killed。 One day， Ruby was brought by Monks and Arcus （frostblood） after helping her break free from prison。 They train her how to control her powers and use for their own purposes。 This is an adventure fantasy follows with a journey of a girl who seek revenge after she loses everything。 ———————————————My thoughts on the plot is that the plot was interesting and at the same time predictable but still there is a twist in the end。 I enjoyed all her training because the training not only focused on physical but mental as well。 I always love a book that involved training and also to get revenge hehe 💪I was shocked by the plot twist in the end 🥲———————————————And for characters， at first Ruby was just a scared girl who lose everything but when she found out who responsible for her lost， she become powerful in order to get her revenge。 Not to forget Arcus who is a frostblood that helped her in training and get revenge together。 Arcus only a nineteen years old and he able to manipulate cold and create ice。 Omg Arcus he is so handsome because Ruby mentioned she want to touch his face so badly 🙊 He is a person who is unpredictable， cold and harsh。 Who doesnt love a guy who is cold but in the same time care about his love right？ As for the romance， is a slow burn romance。 I would be more interested if they were bestfriend instead。 But still they were cute together。 ———————————————Overall， Frostblood is a great start if you want to start in fantasy because is a fast pace book。 Yes I do recommend this book for beginner。 And forget to mention， this book is a trilogy and I definitely will pickup the sequel soon！ 。。。more

This was an enjoyable read if you don’t think too much about the less than great writing。 I was happy to fall into this world for awhile despite that。 The books got better as the trilogy went along and the author improved。 Definitely a strong amount of overly intense sort of romance that could be annoying to some and fun for others。 Fun and probably forgettable series like many in this genre。

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it， click here。 This is so good the first half was depressing but that was how her arc started。 The feuding between her and Arcus is everything I live for and the stories embedded in it are everything as well the myths and what not are a great addition to the story line。 And oh the romance factor made my skin heat up。 When she killed the beast in the dark that was impressive and the poor fire bird my heart broke。 But what really took the me by surprise was the arena scenes when the prophecy was becoming true an This is so good the first half was depressing but that was how her arc started。 The feuding between her and Arcus is everything I live for and the stories embedded in it are everything as well the myths and what not are a great addition to the story line。 And oh the romance factor made my skin heat up。 When she killed the beast in the dark that was impressive and the poor fire bird my heart broke。 But what really took the me by surprise was the arena scenes when the prophecy was becoming true and she was defeating enemies left and right but it hurt a little when Clay died and when the Captain's daughter and wife watched him die。 Even though I sincerely hate the man it didn't mean his family had to witness it。 But that plot twist was deadly， I went from grieving to happiness to straight up confusion and bafflement。 But when he calls her cute little nicknames I die inside a little it's too cute。 It feels a little fishy at the end when she implied the "for now" bit。 。。。more

I really wanted to love this book because the plot line seemed different to any other I had read。 And yes， the plot line WAS somewhat different to any other fantasy book I've read， but I feel like it could've been so much better。 We got the history and mythology of the Frost Bloods， Fire Bloods and even the Night Bloods， however， I feel like it jumped into a revenge story for our main protagonist way too quickly。 Ruby became a weapon and tool for others to use， rather than learning and teaching I really wanted to love this book because the plot line seemed different to any other I had read。 And yes， the plot line WAS somewhat different to any other fantasy book I've read， but I feel like it could've been so much better。 We got the history and mythology of the Frost Bloods， Fire Bloods and even the Night Bloods， however， I feel like it jumped into a revenge story for our main protagonist way too quickly。 Ruby became a weapon and tool for others to use， rather than learning and teaching herself， she just trained and battled for a mission set by others。 She was pushed and pulled by the 'lightness' and 'darkness' like a rag doll who wasn't allowed to decide her own fate。 Then the ending just felt slightly off and too predictable。 I hate giving average reviews because I know how much time and effort goes into books， the creativity behind them is outstanding and that can never make a book outright bad。 So please don't take my review to heart or let it effect your thoughts on the book， or let it stop you from buying the book。 I do recommend you to buy it because it WAS good。 I'm just hoping the next two books are better when I eventually read them。 。。。more
