Read this with the kids and the 5/5 was their rating。 They thought it was hilarious， fun， and fast-paced。 I did find the pirate treating them as “slaves” to be very problematic and while I would read another book in this series because of the fast paced and generally funny storytelling， I’d steer parents clear of this particular installment for that reason。 Sure， the pirate was the “bad guy”， but slavery as a punchline is unacceptable。 If this is a trend in the series， I’d be very disappointed。
