Done。Styl overlorda jest rozwzleczony, jest powolny, przysłania go ogrom niepotrzebnych opisów uczuć, planów itd więc suma sumarum。。。 Niewiele się dzieje przez te 350 str książki。 Mimo to przedstawia ciekawe podejście, ciekawych ludzi i ciekawe rozwiązania akcji。

Simply an amazing power fantasy。Ainz Ooal Gown's plans have dire impact for the weak nations that surround him。 This volume shows the perspectives of each nation and how they are dealing with the threat that Ainz poses to the entire world。 Some worship him, others respect him, but most are afraid of the unfathomable power he possesses。 You are in the shoes of a god。As for this volume in particular, I enjoyed the many arcs that swim around the gravity of such an insanely powerful force。 Seeing ho Simply an amazing power fantasy。Ainz Ooal Gown's plans have dire impact for the weak nations that surround him。 This volume shows the perspectives of each nation and how they are dealing with the threat that Ainz poses to the entire world。 Some worship him, others respect him, but most are afraid of the unfathomable power he possesses。 You are in the shoes of a god。As for this volume in particular, I enjoyed the many arcs that swim around the gravity of such an insanely powerful force。 Seeing how they deal with the inevitable and the embracing the feelings they conjure when those that are used to being on top are finally met with the impossible situation of defeat gives you a rare cathartic feeling that you can escape into fully。 You'll get goosebumps at the major payoffs when they happen。The only bad thing I can nitpick about for these series of books is the prose in the translation。 I'm not sure what the original japanese text includes, but the translation has a lot of lengthy prose that expands the wordcount needlessly and makes some sentences a slog to get through。 Another small issue lies in subtle grammatical issues that snuck by in the editing process-- a missing quotation mark and the end of a paragraph can cause confusion when there is a lot of inner dialogue and exposition laced within a conversation。 These are all minor infractions and does not affect the story as a whole。Book 9 is finished and now it's on to book 10。 This has been an amazing journey so far and I recommend it to anyone who loves a good power trip。 。。。more

Ehh。。。 I'm starting to get a little bored with this series。 I'm skimming a lot of the royal political stuff because none of it matters。 Ainz is just going to easily destroy all of them。There's not much else to this volume。 The villagers didn't get much to do and the joke of Ainz getting Demiurge to make all of the plans is a little old。This was the last volume covered by the anime。 It may be sunk cost but I'll give the series a couple of more volumes to pick back up。 Ehh。。。 I'm starting to get a little bored with this series。 I'm skimming a lot of the royal political stuff because none of it matters。 Ainz is just going to easily destroy all of them。There's not much else to this volume。 The villagers didn't get much to do and the joke of Ainz getting Demiurge to make all of the plans is a little old。This was the last volume covered by the anime。 It may be sunk cost but I'll give the series a couple of more volumes to pick back up。 。。。more

We have finally got to where the anime stops。 This book contains an epic battle that things have been moving towards。 I’m so excited to get some new story!

Without a doubt one of the most iconic entries in the series。 The Katze Plains is without a doubt one of my favorite scenes and it truly is the biggest development in the entire series。

Usually when you read the manga or Light Novel of an anime your first thought is ‘They f****d up the anime’。 I didn’t get that vibe at all with this。 Instead it was like adding an extra scoop of ice cream to an already delicious sundae。 Reading this LN provided extra bits of dialogue, more POVs, and even new characters。 If I wasn't already familiar with at least a portion Overlord's large cast and locations I might have found this overwhelming。 As such I completely I agree with the anime’s abrid Usually when you read the manga or Light Novel of an anime your first thought is ‘They f****d up the anime’。 I didn’t get that vibe at all with this。 Instead it was like adding an extra scoop of ice cream to an already delicious sundae。 Reading this LN provided extra bits of dialogue, more POVs, and even new characters。 If I wasn't already familiar with at least a portion Overlord's large cast and locations I might have found this overwhelming。 As such I completely I agree with the anime’s abridged version。 This clunky-ness is further compounded by the translation。 No offense! I love translators who work hard to get us awesome content, but some things were definitely lost in translation。 As such I think this is a wonderful supplemental read, and a poor standalone。 For those not familiar with the anime or manga this story is an Isekai styled fantasy adventure。 Normal office worker Suzuki gets transported to a fantasy world as Momonga, his video game persona。 As Momonga he has with him his entire guild’s resources including the NPCs his friends and him created。 They all revere and love him as their peerless master。 With their help he intends to explore this new strange world he seems to be trapped in。 Also his NPCs thinks he wants to rule the world?! Uh-oh。 He’s just a normal guy- what does he know about world domination? Despite his inner flailing, Momonga proves to be a force to be reckoned with as he takes the world by storm as the Sorcerer King。 Riddled with humor, darkness, political intrigue, and plenty of action。 This series is a delight。 This particular volume covers what I would equate to Season 3 episodes 9-13。 。。。more

Wow, just wow, this book is so brutal and impressive and a crescendo in the story, so many things happened here that’s no wonder why it was chosen for a season ending。

Our clueless overlord finally takes up the stage of war to truly become the overlord。 Despair and death ensues。 Better constructed story than the precedent book, and now I can't wait to see what comes next。 Our clueless overlord finally takes up the stage of war to truly become the overlord。 Despair and death ensues。 Better constructed story than the precedent book, and now I can't wait to see what comes next。 。。。more

Overlord has gotten really good again。 I would say that the series first peaked with the Men in the Kingdom arc, vol。 5-6。 Now with volume 9, maybe even 8, it is just as good again, maybe even better。

4 stars。 Very addictive and fun, especially the gory spalt splat scenes of death。 This volume shows how fucking evil these guys really are with no holds barred。

The author continues to balance really well the OP members of Nazarick and the common folk of the Kingdom (and now the Empire)。 Had a massive “whaaaaaaaat!?!?!” moment in the end! These Overlord novels continue to be some of the best written LNs out there。 Will definitely continue this series!

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it, click here。 Thoughts:At least they mostly figured out how to english this time。。This was the arc I was looking forward to reading again and honestly? They did alright。 This part of the story forms a relatively natural endpoint, and the next few going forward are largely world building of various flavors so I think I may stop here。As always, stories about accidentally becoming an evil overlord are fun and in this book the main character embraces it in a wonderful and horrifying way。

Brilliant, one of the best in the series so far。 This series is just pushing what you would accept from your protagonist, I mean from the start he is clearly not the good guy, and the story itself doesn't really starkly contrast good and evil, but this time it got really dark。 Many developments and a few twists。 Can't wait to finish this series Brilliant, one of the best in the series so far。 This series is just pushing what you would accept from your protagonist, I mean from the start he is clearly not the good guy, and the story itself doesn't really starkly contrast good and evil, but this time it got really dark。 Many developments and a few twists。 Can't wait to finish this series 。。。more
