Summary

A sweet "aww"-inspiring tale of school life begins!!

At school, Kyouko Hori is known for being smart, attractive, and popular。 On the other hand, her classmate, the boring, gloomy Izumi Miyamura tends to get painted as a "loser fanboy。" But when a liberally pierced and tattooed (not to mention downright gorgeous) Miyamura appears unexpectedly on the doorstep of secretly plain-Jane homebody Hori, these two similarly dissimilar teenagers discover that there are multiple sides to every story。。。and person!

Great art, solid pacing, cute moments, mixed with romance that works well。 While nothing super new it still solid of the story it is trying to tell。 A 4 out of 5。 。。。more

Super cute!!! I absolutely loved it! <3 I loved all of the characters。 Hori is awesome (of course) and I love Miyamura (he’s so kind and handsome lololol)。 Hori’s friend and Miyamura’s new friend (idk their names) were funny supporting characters, and I liked them。 I can’t believe nobody recognized Miyamura when he had his hair pulled back, glasses off, and tattoos and piercings showing。 I mean, really?! (Because they are literally the cutest。 Couple。 Ever!) ❤️❤️❤️ 。。。more

Maybe three and a half。This one took me a while before it kind of won me over。 It felt too predictable and kind of bland at first, but I started enjoying the relationship between the two characters as the story progressed and they went to crazier and stupider lengths to keep Miyamura's secret (he has tats)。 Basically this is a high school love comedy with the usual sort of mismatched couple slowly falling in love with each other, and each having their public side and their secret side。 I like th Maybe three and a half。This one took me a while before it kind of won me over。 It felt too predictable and kind of bland at first, but I started enjoying the relationship between the two characters as the story progressed and they went to crazier and stupider lengths to keep Miyamura's secret (he has tats)。 Basically this is a high school love comedy with the usual sort of mismatched couple slowly falling in love with each other, and each having their public side and their secret side。 I like the art。 The characters get better as it goes。 It's a decent one, and I bet it gets even funnier in ensuing volumes。 。。。more

I got tears in my eyes from laughing。 The story is great, a good mix between romance and comedy。 The characters are awesome。 Not only Hori and Miyamura, but also the side characters。 It was my first manga so I had a some dificulties with who is who, but it was still fun to read!

Read up to volume 14。So, thoughts?- Starts out super cute when Miyamura and Hori got a glimpse of each other's true sides。- The romance between them was rather sweet, and while things have gotten serious between them, it's mostly insinuated or cut away。 It's a shame, because I want more of the romance and wooing。 Alas。- It's pretty evident in some parts that the manga started out as a 4-panel gag manga。 The humour is a bit oddly paced in places, and some of the characters act in extreme ways (as Read up to volume 14。So, thoughts?- Starts out super cute when Miyamura and Hori got a glimpse of each other's true sides。- The romance between them was rather sweet, and while things have gotten serious between them, it's mostly insinuated or cut away。 It's a shame, because I want more of the romance and wooing。 Alas。- It's pretty evident in some parts that the manga started out as a 4-panel gag manga。 The humour is a bit oddly paced in places, and some of the characters act in extreme ways (as below)。- Hori 。。。 is a weird one。 She is physically abusive, prone to violent bursts of anger, and wants to be bopped by Miyamura on the head if she does something wrong。 - The jokes about boys cross-dressing and weirdness around boys liking other boys wore out their welcome。- Sadly, by around volume 14, there's more a focus on the hijinks of the characters rather than further developing the relationships already established。In all? It's not a terribly fulfilling romance (thought there are certainly hints of greatness)。 The humour is a bit silly, and the physicality of some of the outbursts got a bit tiring after a while。 Let's see if the final volume saves it。 。。。more

Not sure about this series, I’ll give the second volume a go and see if it grows on me。 I was told by several people that I’d love this because I love Yotsuba, but I can’t see how the two are in any way alike to be honest? I was expecting the tone to be similar, at least, but it’s not。

This is so cute and so much fun。 i really wish I'd gotten the other books but I don't really mind。 I like the idea of getting to meet people outside of school and learning that theres differnt sides to them。 It's realistic。 I feel like the author plans to develop a romance between the 2 MC, which I'm iffy about。 I don't hate the idea, the characters like each other well enough and if the relationship is well developed I think it would be great。 However I do kinda wish it was a book in which ther This is so cute and so much fun。 i really wish I'd gotten the other books but I don't really mind。 I like the idea of getting to meet people outside of school and learning that theres differnt sides to them。 It's realistic。 I feel like the author plans to develop a romance between the 2 MC, which I'm iffy about。 I don't hate the idea, the characters like each other well enough and if the relationship is well developed I think it would be great。 However I do kinda wish it was a book in which there was no mandatory relationship between the 2 MC and just leave them as friends。 But I'll see how the story develops I guess。 。。。more

I recently finished watching the anime and I learned that a lot of things from the manga had been skipped。 Overall, most of this volume was the same as what happens in the anime, but there were a few new scenes。 It was a great read and I can’t wait to read more。

I am absolutely hooked on this romance story。 Miyamura and Hori remind me of me and my husband。 Miyamura and him have to navigate my feelings and Hori’s。 We are both volatile。 🥲😅
