This book that is centered around bisexuality and social media influencers was one that I could not put down。 It was adorable and felt so very real。 I feel that book is one for our times and will appeal to many readers。 It is so important for #OwnVoices titles to be out there so teens and readers have a place to turn to。 The story takes you on a journey of where you learn that just becuase you think you know something doesn't mean you do。 That things are not always as they appear from real live This book that is centered around bisexuality and social media influencers was one that I could not put down。 It was adorable and felt so very real。 I feel that book is one for our times and will appeal to many readers。 It is so important for #OwnVoices titles to be out there so teens and readers have a place to turn to。 The story takes you on a journey of where you learn that just becuase you think you know something doesn't mean you do。 That things are not always as they appear from real live to the internet。 I loved Cece and just this entire story。 。。。more

While being an internet-famous teen influencer isn't in my wheelhouse at all, I really loved this novel。 I especially enjoyed the honest look at whether or not to keep toxic family members in your life, the unbiased look at the pros and cons of social media and how invisible the B in LGBTQIAP can be。 Very relevant in today's world。 4。5 stars。 While being an internet-famous teen influencer isn't in my wheelhouse at all, I really loved this novel。 I especially enjoyed the honest look at whether or not to keep toxic family members in your life, the unbiased look at the pros and cons of social media and how invisible the B in LGBTQIAP can be。 Very relevant in today's world。 4。5 stars。 。。。more

What a wonderful story about social media, relationships and acceptance of the full spectrum of sexuality。 This is a YA novel about bi acceptance and there are definitely some hurtful things said, so be careful reading if these are triggers for you。 However, the story arc is redemptive ❤️I also liked that while the perils of social media are blatant in the story, the power (especially for queer kids) is also defended。

The bisexual representation in this book - and as a focus point - was BEAUTIFUL。 I have never read a book with such an emphasis on bi-erasure and the toxicity of communities。 Tied in with how technology and social media influence everything and teenagers’ lives。。。I loved it。。。although the main character was obnoxious at some points with how she viewed social media。。。but that’s the point of it。

So I didn’t plan to finish this but I read the reviews and decided to give it another shot。 I’m glad I did。 The speech was powerful and I could see my students finding a lot of value in this book。 It was sweet。

This was a fun read。 Wasn’t sure if I was feeling all the hashtags throughout the book when they weren’t directed in posts, but the plot and the writing made this a nice and fast read for me。 It took me a while to realize the title is from a Kasey Mushraves song (probably one of the first songs of hers I ever heard, way back when she opened for Katy Perry), it fits the book so well and is the perfect title for this。 I won’t lie; the cover is what first drew me in and I’m so glad this one caught This was a fun read。 Wasn’t sure if I was feeling all the hashtags throughout the book when they weren’t directed in posts, but the plot and the writing made this a nice and fast read for me。 It took me a while to realize the title is from a Kasey Mushraves song (probably one of the first songs of hers I ever heard, way back when she opened for Katy Perry), it fits the book so well and is the perfect title for this。 I won’t lie; the cover is what first drew me in and I’m so glad this one caught my eye。 。。。more

This was overall a pretty fun and breezy read! I think a lot of teen readers, like myself, will enjoy the look at the life of an Instagram (the book just calls it "the app") Influencer and the pressures and perks it contains。 I think the way CeCe struggles to express herself and her activist values is relatable, and I also think it's great to showcase the backlash a bi teen girl might face from some members of the queer community when she ends up dating a boy, as well as to show her (view spoile This was overall a pretty fun and breezy read! Quick and easy YA contemporary read with very solid LGBTQ+ representation! This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it, click here。 CeCe is famous。Well, internet famous。 But it's the same thing, isn't it? Oh I loved this one! This was a powerful lgbtq story about a girl named Cece who is an internet influencer。 She learns a couple lessons in this story about who she is, how she presents herself online and how the attention from social media can change you。 My only complaint is that the app they use is never referred to by name and that took some getting used to。 I binge read over half of this book today。

Oh my, what a perfect LGBTQIA+ YA novel, about bi-erasure and the pressures of social media (not in a preachy way either!), and the joys of young love。Perfect

One thing I hate most about reading is when you have high hopes for a book and then it doesn't live up to them。 But that means there's also an opposite to that: when you pick up a book that interests you but that you don't have high expectations for, and it ends up being really good。That was my experience with this book, and I loved it so much。 It has so many amazing conversations, about being bi and biphobia, about social media and dealing with it in a healthy way, and so on。One criticism is th One thing I hate most about reading is when you have high hopes for a book and then it doesn't live up to them。 But that means there's also an opposite to that: when you pick up a book that interests you but that you don't have high expectations for, and it ends up being really good。That was my experience with this book, and I loved it so much。 It has so many amazing conversations, about being bi and biphobia, about social media and dealing with it in a healthy way, and so on。One criticism is that while this book talked quite a lot about politics, it didn't really address CeCe's privilege as a white, cis, abled person。 While she has good reasons to want to keep politics out of her social media initially, it's still a privilege to be able to do so, and I would have liked to see that addressed。I did however really like CeCe, and I think she went through a lot of character development。 Plus, I really loved the love interest in this book。CW: biphobia 。。。more
