Generic review time considering the number of books in the series。 The mr。 Men and little miss books are just wonderful。 They are perfect for reading to the little ones and perfect for those kids learning to read。 In many ways I feel they should all be five stars as regardless of what I as an adult might think of a story whilst reading it to my nephews and nieces and friends little ones, they always seemed to enjoy them。 The artwork is fun in the books and helps tell the story visually for young Generic review time considering the number of books in the series。 The mr。 Men and little miss books are just wonderful。 They are perfect for reading to the little ones and perfect for those kids learning to read。 In many ways I feel they should all be five stars as regardless of what I as an adult might think of a story whilst reading it to my nephews and nieces and friends little ones, they always seemed to enjoy them。 The artwork is fun in the books and helps tell the story visually for younger readers。 I read these as a child and have continued to read those I read and many newer ones to successive generations。 A great series that provides entertainment and teaches youngsters about character traits, new experiences and events。 Great stuff。 。。。more

This book is about little miss helpful who is helpful but ends up helping nobody

Jade

Oh dear, we all know a person like this (and perhaps we are them sometimes)!

James

Funny, but also sad。 She just wants to help, but she royally messes everything up。 She is never actually helpful。

Indy

A great book to teach kids how to be helpful and empathetic, with respect to others needs。

Little Miss Helpful always tries to help but only ever succeeds in making the situation much worse。

Kitapta yardım yapmayı seven ancak sakar birisi anlatılıyor。 Kitapta yapamadığımız şeyleri yapmak zorunda olmadığımız anlatılıyor。

This is so cute。。。 and so accurate! I think we all know someone a little like Little Miss Helpful。

Daniel Souza

A training manual on how to turn children into cynical, selfish sociopaths with zero empathy and nothing but contempt for decent people who display kindness toward others。 The entire series is snide and snotty。

Slow Man

Little Miss Helpful helps nobody。 You can imagine, can’t you? Stay away from her at all cost。

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it, click here。 Not my favourite of this series。 It didn't have the positive sides of being helpful and made it seem like Little Miss Helpful was annoying but no one would tell her。 Instead judging behind her back, and not seeing that she had such a huge heart to want to help in the first place。 Not my favourite of this series。 It didn't have the positive sides of being helpful and made it seem like Little Miss Helpful was annoying but no one would tell her。 Instead judging behind her back, and not seeing that she had such a huge heart to want to help in the first place。 。。。more

A cautionary tale that still makes me laugh

As I progressed through this book, I found myself really disliking this book。 The message of this one did not make a lot of sense to me。 Little Miss Helpful is rather well unhelpful。 Always trying to help others, but she does more damage than good。 Honestly, this book felt like a book telling others not to help out others。 I don’t like that message or moral from the book。 This is why I could not give it a rather high rating, it just felt like it wasn’t a well-thought out concept for a book about As I progressed through this book, I found myself really disliking this book。 The message of this one did not make a lot of sense to me。 Little Miss Helpful is rather well unhelpful。 Always trying to help others, but she does more damage than good。 Honestly, this book felt like a book telling others not to help out others。 I don’t like that message or moral from the book。 This is why I could not give it a rather high rating, it just felt like it wasn’t a well-thought out concept for a book about helping others。 Seriously, never feel bad for trying to help others, even when it turns out wrong。 The artwork is wonderful, but that message overshadows everything about this book。 I would not recommend reading this to a child, as it may confuse them on being nice to others or trying to help them out。 I understand for a child they need a balance of being helpful and knowing when to step back to allow someone else to take care of things themselves, but that doesn’t really seem like the point of this particular book。 If it had been, I would have recommended this。 Due to that though, I would say leave this until the end of your “Little Miss” journey should you decide to take these on。 This one is simply not really helpful。 。。。more

I find most of the books in this series funny and charming, but this one rubbed me the wrong way because it goes against what I am trying to teach my children。Poor Miss Helpful wants to help, but it always ends in disaster。 True to life for a lot of toddlers, no? That's the funny part。But even when kids are trying and failing, we need to encourage them to keep trying, because we do want them ultimately to grow into people who are willing and able to help。 It doesn't come without practice。 This b I find most of the books in this series funny and charming, but this one rubbed me the wrong way because it goes against what I am trying to teach my children。Poor Miss Helpful wants to help, but it always ends in disaster。 True to life for a lot of toddlers, no? I can relate a little to Little Miss Helpful, poor dear。 She desperately wants and loves to help people。 The problem is when she does that, she usually makes the situation worse unintentionally。 Mr。 Tall’s shoe came untied and instead of tying the lace, she tied his shoes together so he hurt himself。 Mr。 Happy gets sick and Little Miss tries to help him, but just gives him a day of hell。As a child, this is kind of how I was。 I wanted to help and when I did, it seemed to do less good and the pers I can relate a little to Little Miss Helpful, poor dear。 She desperately wants and loves to help people。 The problem is when she does that, she usually makes the situation worse unintentionally。 Mr。 Tall’s shoe came untied and instead of tying the lace, she tied his shoes together so he hurt himself。 Mr。 Happy gets sick and Little Miss tries to help him, but just gives him a day of hell。As a child, this is kind of how I was。 I wanted to help and when I did, it seemed to do less good and the person got frustrated even more。 I learned to sit back and not offer help at a young age in some ways。 Wow, I just realized this now。 OK。 So I relate to this funny story。 It is all done for humor in this story。The nephew loves Mr。 Happy and Mr。 Tall too, so this book made him happy。 He gave it 3 stars because it was about Little Miss Helpful and he doesn’t like the girl books, so he says。 Anyway。 。。。more

the pile is getting lower and this is another little miss book and as always another charming read and the typical illustrations you expect from Hargreaves。 This universe is such a fun place - I really need to consider getting them all and just read one a day on repeat!!Another re-read as I work through the box set, this one is relatable, sometimes I try to be helpful but feel like I have caused more hinderances! This is number 8 in the box set I read。Little Miss #8

Little Miss Helpful or maybe Little Miss Disaster。 But with the best of intentions。。。A little gem for laughing out loud moments。

Surprisingly, this book teaches children the important lesson that WANTING to help isn't enough。 I feel like we need more of this kind of lesson for toddlers。 Surprisingly, this book teaches children the important lesson that WANTING to help isn't enough。 I feel like we need more of this kind of lesson for toddlers。 。。。more

Having last read them as a child, I had no idea how good these books were until I read two of them today。 And this one's even better than Mr Lazy (which I also gave 5 stars)。 The writing is perfect and the illustrations somehow make it even better。 Read this book - it's so good! I enjoyed this book because I like being helpful。 I also enjoyed this book because Little Miss Helpful was very helpful。

Someone who is trying to help causes trouble。In the same vain to the other books in this series – a short sweet illustrated for young children that brings a smile to adult and child alike。

Ah, Mr Men and Little Miss, how wonderful you are! These books made up so much of my childhood。 No matter what I would go ahead and pick one up。 I worked my way through them all a couple of times。 Each one has a wonderful story for the child to engage with, each character being fun to read。 Everyone has a bias for their favourite character, yet every book is delightful。

Sarah Adamson

Little miss Helpful is so helpful, she causes trouble。 Rushing to do the right thing, she cause upset and chaos to make things 10 times worse for the person she is trying to help。 But at least she is trying!

Sara

Little Miss Helpful loves helping people。 She means well but she always ends up creating an even bigger disaster then there already is。

Serge Smagarinsky

A bit of slapstick comedy helps to get the message across (pardon the pun)。

I absolutely loved these Mr Men and Little Miss books。 I remember getting them from my granny every week。 There was so much from these simple characters, I remember filling my little bookshelf with all these books making sure I had got them all in right order。 I wish I still had these books but somehow most of them got lost with many house moves or my mum gave the rest away。 If I ever have kids, I will make sure they get the chance to experience these wonderful, colourful books。
