After-School Hanako-kun is a spin-off manga of Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun。 It's a collection of occurrences between the original manga's main characters during their off time。The Hanako-kun always boasts exceptional artwork, whether you're reading the parent manga series, this new series, or watching the anime。 The manga panels are lovingly decorated and stylized。 I love the precise, yet chunky and jagged outlining and shading。 It pairs well with the writing。 This is a comedy, but it gets dark some After-School Hanako-kun is a spin-off manga of Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun。 It's a collection of occurrences between the original manga's main characters during their off time。The Hanako-kun always boasts exceptional artwork, whether you're reading the parent manga series, this new series, or watching the anime。 The manga panels are lovingly decorated and stylized。 I love the precise, yet chunky and jagged outlining and shading。 It pairs well with the writing。 This is a comedy, but it gets dark sometimes, and tends to lean towards the macabre。 I love that, but if that isn't your cup of tea this might not be the series for you。I was most intrigued with the chapter about the Minamoto brothers' sister, Tiara。 It's easy to see how she was shaped by her brothers – she has the eldest brother's cunning and brutal force, and the open acceptance that shines from Kou。 I'm excited to see where her story goes。I would absolutely read additional releases in an After-School Hanako-kun series。 Thank you to Edelweiss and Yen Press for providing me with a copy of this volume for my honest review。 。。。more

Jenny,
An adorable collection of short stories dealing with every day life with these zany characters! I loved seeing the Mokkes have a more prominent role in this collection considering they were the first rumor that had to be changed。 I also enjoyed the small worldbuilding tidbits scattered throughout each story。 Nothing earth-shattering, but enough to build more lore and show daily life in a haunted setting。As for why it has a lower rating than other volumes, it's purely subjective。 I liked a lot of An adorable collection of short stories dealing with every day life with these zany characters!
