Ma no Kakera （魔の断片， also titled Shard of Evil or Fragments of Horror）， is a series of short stories by Junji Ito。
It began serialization in the first issue of the revived Nemuki+ （ネムキプラス） magazine on April 13， 2013。 It was subsequently published as a collection in Japan in June 2014， with the final story， "Whispering Woman"， having been previously published in Shinkan （シンカン） rather than Nemuki+。 In December 2014， it was licensed by VIZ Media to be released in English in June 2015， under the "Fragments of Horror" title。

Fragments of Horror is filled with eerie， bizarre， and scary short stories。 The artwork was also very good。 I think my fav short story was the last one— Whispering Woman。 Very excited to get into more Junji Ito stories！

I am pretty weak when it comes to horror， so anything will be scary， but this is more than just scary in my opinion。 The stories in this book mess with your head A LOT。 I will not say the exact name of the one specific story that stood out to me the most， but that one did because of the sick plot twist at the end。 Highly recommend this for any Junji Ito beginners！

A collection of horror tales by manga horror master Junji Ito。 What I liked - This was a great starting point for myself as I’ve never read a full manga collection by Ito。 The stories within are a great mix of creepy， sad and even humorous at times。 What I disliked - As with any collection of singular stories some are better than others and some are shorter than I’d like。 A few of the stories slightly drag and others are over all too quickly。 3/5。
