I decided to re-read this book after a long time because friend of mine said he really loves it and I wondered if my opinion of it will change if I try to give it another chance。 It is still just alright， I am not in awe as most people seem to be。

Such a quick but life-changing read！ The book is all about following your dreams and enjoy the journey and everything life gives you， which I really needed to read right now！ My only complaint was that the way women were portrayed in this novel was a little off。。。 Also， there was a lot of talk about basically “God’s plan”， which didn’t really entertain me

Many people I have spoken to just love this novel and feel they have had such an existential awakening or something。。。 I did not。 This was an interesting and entertaining story to a point。 I also felt like I was being SUPER proselytized to so， not a fan of that。 I listened to the audiobook and did LOVE that Jeremy Irons read it。。。。otherwise， I am good。 It was meh。

This was a journey story dressed up to seem as if it had some profound meaning， but really it was just nonsense。 It was a kind of fairy story or bedtime story， but I did not even like the sentiments expressed。 This story seemed to suggest that women should wait at home while their men follow their hearts and pursue their dreams。 No thank you。

شاید اگه کتاب رو تو سنین نوجوانی میخوندم وارد لیست کتاب هایی میشد که زندگی م رو تغییر دادن。 اما الان؟ نه آقای کوئلیو。 این کارت ها اگه اینقدر رو بازی نمیشد، احتمالا برام خیلی لذت بخش تر بود。 سه ستاره برای جمله های خوبی که وسط قصه گاهی دلم رو نرم میکردند و پایان خوب قصه。
