I found most of the story interesting and captivating。 Although, not the scenes that are exact copies of the film。 They are long and boring and unnecessary。I read the book for the twisted tale not to read scenes from a mediocre film I watched 6 years ago。

I honestly expected more from this book。 A bit disappointing, not a bad read but just not great。

Not my favorite one of the serie but I loved the plot and this still strong friendship between Anna et Elsa。

It was niceI like the twist, I like the reimagined scenes, it was a nice read。 I love Frozen, so being able to vividly imagine the characters in this new scenario was awesome。

Ok I usually only give 5 stars to books I’d like to own or at least reread。 I’m not really interested in owning or rereading this BUT I’d love it if Disney made this into an animated series like they did with Tangled。Unlike many of the other twisted tale books I found this story twist to be completely plausible and the way it worked with the original movie plot; including word for word narratives and other events that did not change with the twist, all very impressive。My 10 yo who is an avid rea Ok I usually only give 5 stars to books I’d like to own or at least reread。 I’m not really interested in owning or rereading this BUT I’d love it if Disney made this into an animated series like they did with Tangled。Unlike many of the other twisted tale books I found this story twist to be completely plausible and the way it worked with the original movie plot; including word for word narratives and other events that did not change with the twist, all very impressive。My 10 yo who is an avid reader has struggled with these twisted tale books finding some of the storylines to be confusing but I think she will find this one easy enough to read and really enjoy it。 。。。more

Absolutely loved this book, I was very hesitant to read it because the concept of Anna and Elsa not knowing each other was very strange to me。 But, I will say that the author did an amazing job with the story and didn't mess with too much! I loved the scenes that came from the movie too, because it helped build on the book。 Great read, if your a Frozen fan don't be afraid to read this! 3。5 stars rounded up because the end made me smile。"How fortunate she was to have had two sets of parents who loved her enough to set her free。"Adoption is a topic very close to my heart and unfortunately, open adoptions/birth parents are kinda taboo。 I loved the positive language about adoption in this book。 At times I didn't feel like it was different enough from the original story but I loved that it was still a story about sisters and family。 It was also cute to see how the iconic moments fr 3。5 stars rounded up because the end made me smile。"How fortunate she was to have had two sets of parents who loved her enough to set her free。"Adoption is a topic very close to my heart and unfortunately, open adoptions/birth parents are kinda taboo。 I loved the positive language about adoption in this book。 At times I didn't feel like it was different enough from the original story but I loved that it was still a story about sisters and family。 It was also cute to see how the iconic moments from the movie (like Let It Go) were translated into story form。 I loved all the little nods to the movie! 。。。more

This is the first Twisted Tales book I've read。 I wasn't sure how similar it would be compared to the film and the answer is that they're basically the same story。 This is fine as long as you like the movie and though I haven't seen the whole thing, I thought it was cute。 There is a twist but most of the book plays out like you would expect。 I love Olaf, he's one of my al time favorite Disney characters。 He's just hilarious and adorable and I want to give him a warm hug。 I'm glad he was in this This is the first Twisted Tales book I've read。 I wasn't sure how similar it would be compared to the film and the answer is that they're basically the same story。 This is fine as long as you like the movie and though I haven't seen the whole thing, I thought it was cute。 There is a twist but most of the book plays out like you would expect。 I love Olaf, he's one of my al time favorite Disney characters。 He's just hilarious and adorable and I want to give him a warm hug。 I'm glad he was in this a bunch because he made me smile。 I also thought it was funny when Kristoff pretended to speak for Sven, that's something I would totally do。 The story of sisterhood is very prevalent and I liked that romance is very much in the background。 Elsa is awesome and a badass and Anna is sweet and funny。 They're a great pair and I was happy to see their happy ending。 。。。more

I found this book to be so easy and fun to read。 I love how lighthearted and whimsical the story was, with characters we already know and love but yet with a fun and new twist。 I would most definitely suggest this to anybody who loves Disney but wants a different aspect of tales they already know。 I really enjoy the idea of posing a question with the intent of twisting the story to find the answer。

I read this aloud with my Frozen obsessed 5 year old and we both enjoyed it。 She loved talking about the differences between the Twisted Tale and the movie。 I think we will read the new Hercules Twisted Tale aloud next!

This is a very cute retelling of the story of Frozen and I am sure that many kids and adults alike will enjoy this story however for me that was not the case。 I am a huge Disney fan and I thought this would be right up my alley。 However, this story is too similar to Frozen for me to not just see the original movie with little tweaks in my head。 I enjoyed all the new material that was added throughout the story but I still felt like I knew the story and nothing new and interesting was coming up。 This is a very cute retelling of the story of Frozen and I am sure that many kids and adults alike will enjoy this story however for me that was not the case。 I am a huge Disney fan and I thought this would be right up my alley。 However, this story is too similar to Frozen for me to not just see the original movie with little tweaks in my head。 I enjoyed all the new material that was added throughout the story but I still felt like I knew the story and nothing new and interesting was coming up。 。。。more

4。5/5No one is canon queer, but I still believe Elsa is aroace。What if Elsa & Anna were never sisters? Or they thought they weren't。 In this twisted tale, Elsa and Anna have grown up separately, but after the King and Queen's death memories begin to unveil themselves which comes to a head on Elsa's coronation。 She then sets off endless winter and flees for the North Mountain。 Anna travels to Arendelle for the first time with the strangest feeling she knows this place。I am trash for Frozen so I k 4。5/5No one is canon queer, but I still believe Elsa is aroace。What if Elsa & Anna were never sisters?

So I picked up this book after reading Part of Your World because I was honestly impressed with it。 It was such a dark twist on the Little Mermaid that I was immediately fascinated to see what the other books contained! No。 。Does Elsa react differently to her powers after not having them for years and not remembering them? No。 。And so on and so forth。 Even worse the books completely retread the movie where events happen to play out identically to the movie despite the fact that they really shouldn't。 The only piece of creativity that stands out is how the author writes the character Olaf, who I despised in the movie but genuinely enjoy here。 。Now I won't say this is a horrible read。 The author wrote the characters well and the motives made sense。 It just isn't a terribly creative take on the story。 I finished the book and anyone who picks it up will probably to, but if you want to see a better version of this book play out I would advise just watching the movie they are practically identical。 。。。more

Welp。 Another Twisted Tale。 Another disappointment。 This isn't the worst I've read from the series, but it still isn't the best either。 I really wish these were marketed as middle grade。 Even though I know they haven't been great, every time I pick up a new one in this series, I have hope that it could be good only to be let down every time。This was just okay。 All the characters are exactly the same as we know them from the movie。 Except Anna was a bit more naive, which I found to be frustrating Welp。 Another Twisted Tale。 Another disappointment。 This isn't the worst I've read from the series, but it still isn't the best either。 I really wish these were marketed as middle grade。 Even though I know they haven't been great, every time I pick up a new one in this series, I have hope that it could be good only to be let down every time。This was just okay。 All the characters are exactly the same as we know them from the movie。 Except Anna was a bit more naive, which I found to be frustrating and annoying。I liked the premise behind Anna and Elsa being separated, and we got a bit more explanation about the magic than I was expecting when compared to previous books, so I feel that was a pleasant surprise。It's just that the writing is so juvenile, and that's something I've felt with all of Calonita's additions to the series。 If it was middle grade, this would probably be a 4/4。5 star read。 But since this is supposed to be YA it's somewhere between 2。5/3 。。。more

I thought this book was pretty enjoyable。 Especially with Elsa’s arc I thought was really done well and I liked the twist of the sisters being separated and having to find each other again。 That being said though, even when I enjoyed it I noticed this was less of a twist and more of a retread of the original movie but putting the characters in different settings。。。

A spin off of a disney story where Anna is adopted and Elsa never meets her。 How would this change the events of the frozen movie? what can this show us about family?
