I was going to reread A Kingdom of Flesh and Fire because of A Crown of Gilded Bones came out last month and I wanted a refresher。 I had already read Fleshy back when it first came out and I wasn't impressed。 I don't know what's going on with JLA when it comes to this series but it's so low on the "Trash Totem Pole" I'm amazed by how many people flock to it and rave about it's supposed greatness。 Yes， beauty is and will forever be in the eye of the beholder but let's be clear A Kingdom of Flesh I was going to reread A Kingdom of Flesh and Fire because of A Crown of Gilded Bones came out last month and I wanted a refresher。 I had already read Fleshy back when it first came out and I wasn't impressed。 I don't know what's going on with JLA when it comes to this series but it's so low on the "Trash Totem Pole" I'm amazed by how many people flock to it and rave about it's supposed greatness。 Yes， beauty is and will forever be in the eye of the beholder but let's be clear A Kingdom of Flesh and Fire isn't beautiful， it's down right asinine in some places and stupid everywhere else。 The "Stabby" jokes are old and staler than Martha Washington's vagina。 The "You're Hot when you're mad" jokes are just as bad。 The "I have a question" joke， the "You're disturbed for finding me hot because you're horny while I stab you or threaten to stab you" NEED TO FUCKING STOP。 It's not cute anymore JLA， it's fucking ridiculous。 I cannot on so many levels。 But I guess the joke is on me because I'm going to read A Crown of Gilded Bones， maybe it'll get better。 I don't have high hopes at this point because it seems as if all creativity has left JLA which is really really sad because she's one or used to be one of my favorite authors。 。。。more

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it， click here。 3。5 ⭐️ I love Poppy and Cas’s romance and could not get enough of it。 The plot twist at the end was phenomenal and overall I absolutely love this book。 However， the amount of times things are repeated we’re starting to really get on my nerves。 We get it she stabs people a lot， we get it she’s embarrassed by the diary， we get it you like when she’s violent。 All the extra chapters that were wasted on this repetitiveness could have been used for character building。 Still love this series though。

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it， click here。 IM FREEEEEE！！！！！！！！ WORST EXPERIENCE OF MY FUCKING LIFE - Trisha Paytas alrighty。。。where do we begin。 first of all: i hated it。 i have never in my life hated a book。 i may get frustrated， or not click with one， but the amount of fury i felt while reading every。 single。 page。 was something i have never experienced before （and wish to never have experience again seriously this book drained me）every character was unlikable。 and i hated casteel from the bottom of my toes to the top of my head。 he’s IM FREEEEEE！！！！！！！！ WORST EXPERIENCE OF MY FUCKING LIFE - Trisha Paytas alrighty。。。where do we begin。 first of all: i hated it。 i have never in my life hated a book。 i may get frustrated， or not click with one， but the amount of fury i felt while reading every。 single。 page。 was something i have never experienced before （and wish to never have experience again seriously this book drained me）every character was unlikable。 and i hated casteel from the bottom of my toes to the top of my head。 he’s not charming， nor likeable or sexy。 he’s creepy and， honestly， scary。 if i had a SO act the way he does towards poppy i would be out of that relationship so fast。 every time she voices something that she’s worried about or something that casteel does that she doesn’t like he always undermines her。 he’s never serious and treats everything that she says as one big joke。 his innuendos are disgusting and his sexual comments are especially inappropriate （LIKE WHAT WERE THEY DOING IN THE CARRIAGE AS A BATTLE WAS HAPPENING？！？！？！？！）also。。。there’s barely any consent。 during one scene poppy specifically says “not now” and casteel STILL！ KEEPS！ GOING！ that’s terrifying and it made me feel so icky i hate him i hate him i hate himand don’t get me started on poppy。 i get it - she’s never experienced love or whatnot but jesus。 i just wanted to grab her by the shoulders and shake some sense into her。 the first book was tolerable but this was down-right horrible （imo） i cant believe i wasted six days of my life reading this。 it had no reason to be 600+ pages as the same jokes/comments/ideas were just repeated over and over again。 WE GET IT she asks a lot of questions - you would too if you were held separate from society and people dictated what media/knowledge you consumed。 WE GET IT casteel likes it when she gets violent - however， mostly every time poppy ‘threatened’ him it was because she was upset at him and he never took her feelings seriouslyand WE GET IT！ SHE LIKES TO STAB PEOPLE！ she barely stabbed anyone in this book like。。。get a new joke。。。please get a new joke。 ---and i still may pick up the third just because i need to see how this travesty ends。 please。 there are better books to read。 。。。more

wow， it was great 👍 I enjoyed every second of it ， there was time when I didnt even know how I red 100 pages。 I was totally impressed by the surprises we had during the book。I also listened to the audiobook and that was sth else。 She was fantastic and I totally loved it。 Cant wait to read the next book
