Go beyond most new dad books:

Supportive and helpful—Get the scoop on what it’s like to be a father from someone who’s been there and knows exactly what you need to hear。 Quick advice—Key childcare tips are broken into short, convenient guides—unlike other new dad books, there’s no reading an entire textbook just to change a diaper。 The big moments—Track your baby’s development at a glance with charts that lay out the most important milestones in one place。

Good book to use to learn about how your baby will develop month by month over its first year。 He also explains different things to look out for in your home to ensure baby’s safety once they start moving。

Not my favorite。 Good basics, but not my style and very different from our experience。 Felt like info was better from apps like huckleberry and other baby blogs which are written at a similar depth。

This was an awesome book that gives some solid advice to new dads。 The style is very lighthearted and approachable which made it very enjoyable to read。 It is tailored for men which is awesome because guys do sometimes need a very different set of advice in order to be the best dads they can be。 I felt like the book was great in discussing recommended/non recommended purchases but I do think that lens could have been turned to a more in-depth discussion of the details of the items。 They are disc This was an awesome book that gives some solid advice to new dads。 The style is very lighthearted and approachable which made it very enjoyable to read。 It is tailored for men which is awesome because guys do sometimes need a very different set of advice in order to be the best dads they can be。 I felt like the book was great in discussing recommended/non recommended purchases but I do think that lens could have been turned to a more in-depth discussion of the details of the items。 They are discussed only at a cursory level (although I suppose that wasn't the focus)。 。。。more

Really informative and very easy to read! I enjoyed the break down of chapters and the artwork within。

I'll admit, I'm neither a parent nor a father BUT, I think this is an excellent book that any new father would appreciate as a gift。 It's not big or overwhelming, it can fit easily in a: pocket, bathroom, car door, or gym bag, it's not too wordy, it's filled with great advice and illustrations, and it's formatted in a way that makes it easy to pick up and put down。 There are checklists, real life scenarios, and tips and tutorials。 Some is common sense, but other things may be new to first time p I'll admit, I'm neither a parent nor a father BUT, I think this is an excellent book that any new father would appreciate as a gift。 It's not big or overwhelming, it can fit easily in a: pocket, bathroom, car door, or gym bag, it's not too wordy, it's filled with great advice and illustrations, and it's formatted in a way that makes it easy to pick up and put down。 There are checklists, real life scenarios, and tips and tutorials。 Some is common sense, but other things may be new to first time parents, especially dads。 It manages to not be condescending, only helpful and fun。 As the back says, this is a "user manual for dads。" 。。。more

Dads are parents too and while that does seem obvious, it is hard to find a parenting book directed as first-time dads。 So this book, written in a no-nonsense and entertaining style is someone of a rarity on the market。 It explains to dads in plain English how to do the basic things that babies expect of parents such as changing diapers or burping。 What I really appreciate about this book is the fact that the author gets to the point rather than provide a lot of background and addition hints and Dads are parents too and while that does seem obvious, it is hard to find a parenting book directed as first-time dads。 So this book, written in a no-nonsense and entertaining style is someone of a rarity on the market。 It explains to dads in plain English how to do the basic things that babies expect of parents such as changing diapers or burping。 What I really appreciate about this book is the fact that the author gets to the point rather than provide a lot of background and addition hints and tips, the book contains brief guides on what to do when taking care of a baby。 And to allow the proud dad to mark all the important steps in the development, making sure that the baby is keeping up with the competition, the book also has a nice list of milestones that are worth remembering - allowing the dads to maintain their competitive spirit, while making sure baby is healthy。 I enjoyed reading the book and think that it offers great advice for first time dads。 I received a free copy from the publisher。 。。。more
