Summary

This manga is definitely a slow burn， slice of life romance。 Things happen， but they take time to pan out。 I adore the the friendships， the clothing， the little blink and you’ll miss them comedic asides。。。 and if you can get onboard with that I predict you’ll enjoy this series。 Much of the same in this volume。 Little blips of cute between Shirayuki and Zen。 A smattering of Obi， the parkour extraordinaire。 A dash of some hinting that Mitsuhide and Kiki will end up together。。。 I think my only comp This manga is definitely a slow burn， slice of life romance。 Things happen， but they take time to pan out。 I adore the the friendships， the clothing， the little blink and you’ll miss them comedic asides。。。 and if you can get onboard with that I predict you’ll enjoy this series。 Much of the same in this volume。 Little blips of cute between Shirayuki and Zen。 A smattering of Obi， the parkour extraordinaire。 A dash of some hinting that Mitsuhide and Kiki will end up together。。。 I think my only complaint with this volume was intended， to allude back to similar scenarios， but it felt more like a weird case of deja vu or reused scenes than it did a clever throwback。 In any case， I’m still on board and I continue to want Shirayuki’s wardrobe。 （But I think I’d pick Prince Izana over Zen。 Something about that mysterious， long-haired man and his I-know-something-you-don’t-know attitude。） 。。。more

Liked the 1st chapter。 End of 2nd Prince Izana gives Zen the key to east part of the castle & allows Shirayuki to move in there。 People are gossiping about it afterwards。 1 of the castle worker make an insulting comment to her & her relationship with Prince Zen， shocking everyone， & they were even more shocked at Shiryuki's response。 What's worse for the castle worker is that Prince Zen heard the whole thing & makes sure he knows that he knows HOW he introduced himself to Shirayuki， making him & Liked the 1st chapter。 End of 2nd Prince Izana gives Zen the key to east part of the castle & allows Shirayuki to move in there。 People are gossiping about it afterwards。 1 of the castle worker make an insulting comment to her & her relationship with Prince Zen， shocking everyone， & they were even more shocked at Shiryuki's response。 What's worse for the castle worker is that Prince Zen heard the whole thing & makes sure he knows that he knows HOW he introduced himself to Shirayuki， making him & every person there wilt。 After Shirayuki took a nap in the corridor due to a fever， strange rumors spread about her collapsing in the castle。 。。。more

The book starts with their friends from Lilias - Yuzuri， Suzu and Kirito visiting the palace and the herbalists all sitting down to make a delicious tea to soothe Garak’s odd mood。 Seeing the trio again was a delight， even if it has only been a book; mainly because I love the idea of Ryuu having a friend his age， and because Yuzuri has the cutest outfits （Suzu needs to make an effort， though）。The main story， though， was about Izana spurring his younger brother to further action by giving him a l The book starts with their friends from Lilias - Yuzuri， Suzu and Kirito visiting the palace and the herbalists all sitting down to make a delicious tea to soothe Garak’s odd mood。 Seeing the trio again was a delight， even if it has only been a book; mainly because I love the idea of Ryuu having a friend his age， and because Yuzuri has the cutest outfits （Suzu needs to make an effort， though）。The main story， though， was about Izana spurring his younger brother to further action by giving him a list of nobles who have put forth their daughters for Zen’s consideration。 As Izana already knows about Shirayuki， this could be considered a slightly mean game on his part to make his brother move with a public declaration of his intentions。 First， though， to stall for some time， he has to at least show that he is considering marriage， which means fake dating time！ Fortunately， Kiki was on the list of candidates， so Zen could just have a ‘date’ with her in the palace to keep people at bay， while he awaits his brother’s approval to give Shirayuki space in the royal quarters。Shirayuki accepts the new place， and since Izana insisted， all of the aides get rooms， too， which means， yep， the four of them are sharing a wing in the royal quarters。 Like me， the Zenyuki fan guards were thrilled （aw， I like those two！）。 I was hoping for sleepovers but we only get awkward shirtless Mitsuhide and Obi。 But the real test comes the next day， when Shirayuki has to deal with a crude remark made by a lord when she goes to visit Zen at work; and my， how she deflects it well！ I knew she would handle herself but part of me was nervous about the nobles eyeing her; she already was in danger once so， you know， valid concerns even for a fluffy romance manga like this。Anwyay， we get to see them being domestic - cooking food， all of them eating together and stuff。 Now I am just waiting for Kiki to propose。 Girl， don’t keep us waiting！！！ Next volume: coronation！ 。。。more

With adventures abroad at an end， it’s now time for Zen & the Art of Wisteria Maintenance， as our leads take it easy in the palace while dealing with the day to day and， of course， the imposition of duty by Zen’s brother。I think one of my yardsticks for whether I like a manga is how many of the characters’ names I can remember between books and I know all of our principles by heart at this point。 Watching Zen and his aides pal around is never less than a fun time。While she doesn’t get to handle With adventures abroad at an end， it’s now time for Zen & the Art of Wisteria Maintenance， as our leads take it easy in the palace while dealing with the day to day and， of course， the imposition of duty by Zen’s brother。I think one of my yardsticks for whether I like a manga is how many of the characters’ names I can remember between books and I know all of our principles by heart at this point。 Watching Zen and his aides pal around is never less than a fun time。While she doesn’t get to handle a plague， Shirayuki does get her moment in the sun when a pompous noble jackass makes a comment after she’s been elevated to living in the royal quarters。 Shirayuki moments like this are always winning bits of business。Throw in a shocking change for Kiki， Zen’s mishaps with arranged marriages （any other book would have wrung that for every drop， yet here， well， we see what a healthy relationship looks like）， visitors from afar， a cooking scene （with the nicest looking drawing of oil I’ve seen in a while）， and lots of goofing around and you have a book that might be sedate but isn’t dull。In fact， I think my favourite scenes in the whole thing are during a chapter where we see everybody’s routine when they’re waking up。 Such a simple idea， but it’s delivered expertly。 This mangaka only makes this all look effortless。I guess if you prefer the high adventure or trips abroad side of this series you might find this a bit of a let-down。 I did not - while I enjoy the adventures， I do think the cast bouncing off one another makes this series work so well even as they handle their typical day-to-day。 4 stars - sure not much of anything dramatic happens， but if you have my interest the whole way through then you’re doing right by your characters and the reader。 。。。more

I feel like we actually got some great movement for Zen and Shirayuki to be together long term。 I really liked everything about this volume， including the part that the anime had pulled forward to use。 I like the placement of it better in the manga though。

Había dejado esta lectura en Stand By por mucho tiempo y he comenzado a ponerme al día nuevamente， es justo y necesario， en especial en el periodo de pruebas que me encuentro actualmente para descansar un poco。Este tomo no fue tan meloso y romántico como esperaba， pero aún así me gusto mucho， por fin la historia va avanzando más y no es solo relleno amoroso entre los personajes。
