Quality Rating: Four StarsEnjoyment Rating: Four StarsSeveral comic series was really the best way to be able to continue on the story of Aang and his friends。 Smoke and Shadow primarily follows Zuko and his pals in the fire nation （which feels less imbalanced than it would onscreen） and the shockwaves of his rise to power as the Fire Lord。 It’s so cool to see how all the old characters fit into this new world （Suki and the Kyoshi warriors serve as freelance bodyguards for the royal family here） Quality Rating: Four StarsEnjoyment Rating: Four StarsSeveral comic series was really the best way to be able to continue on the story of Aang and his friends。 Smoke and Shadow primarily follows Zuko and his pals in the fire nation （which feels less imbalanced than it would onscreen） and the shockwaves of his rise to power as the Fire Lord。 It’s so cool to see how all the old characters fit into this new world （Suki and the Kyoshi warriors serve as freelance bodyguards for the royal family here）， and we get a real feel of the politics that’s so well layered in the original stories。 I’m sure it’s just as enjoyable to read for younger viewers/readers who care more about the adventure as well。 。。。more

part 1: literally one of the best comics - so many adorable interactions， very high stakes and also smart decisions （aka characters trying to do the best they can with what they have）part 2: massively simping for zuko part 3: a perfect conclusion to this issue - the moment between iroh and ursa warmed my heart + kiyi is the cutest ever + i am starting to respect and like mai more and more which puts us in a precarious situation with me simping for her ex and future husband but oh well + cant wai part 1: literally one of the best comics - so many adorable interactions， very high stakes and also smart decisions （aka characters trying to do the best they can with what they have）part 2: massively simping for zuko part 3: a perfect conclusion to this issue - the moment between iroh and ursa warmed my heart + kiyi is the cutest ever + i am starting to respect and like mai more and more which puts us in a precarious situation with me simping for her ex and future husband but oh well + cant wait to see what the team of women that showed up is going to do in the future 。。。more

So many people are in this book！ Zuko is back， Ursa， Mai， Ty-Lee， and UNCLE IROH！！！！ I absolutely love the illustrations， I think the Fire Nation is breathtaking。 And of course， I love Kyoshi Warrior content。

This is my favorite graphic novel series so far。 All of my favorite secondary characters were present in this part。 We had Iroh， Ty Lee， Suki and Mai。 I liked the premise of this graphic novel series。 I love Mai and Ty Lee so I was so happy to see them in a bigger tole。 MVP: My man Iroh！

It very much captured the feel of the show。 When a character spoke， it was consistent with their established models。 I could hear them speak from the book in their voices， and in this way， it truly is an extension of the series。 While I would have hoped to see this done in an animated format， I respect that this was done instead。In relation to this particular book， I will review Smoke and Shadow on the final book of the 3 part series。

Rating the whole series here。 I liked it but it felt a little rushed， especially at the end。 I’m not totally sure the plot all made sense。 The art is well done， and I did enjoy the character development。
