Summary

The key to discovering the secret behind Vald's cursed sword is somewhere in the empire of Zenedoura。 With information obtained from Limris - new companion and former Consul of the Empire - Prince Vald decides to head there to see what he can find。 Along the way, in order to save a gravely wounded Rulca, he deliberately chooses to turn into his demon self! Vald's uncharacteristic recklessness provokes a tirade from Halvir, who then leaves the group without a word。。。

3,5 estrellas。Este volumen me gusto mucho, no tanto como el anterior pero mucho más que los primeros dos tomos。 Ame la parte del baile y estoy enamorada del arte del manga。

I didn't realize these two books were published or they would have been added lot ago。 Not much to say other than what I have already said。 !Fantastic! artwork, laugh out loud chibi moments, great interactions between the characters。 I don't think when I first came across the series that I thought it would turn out so good。 I was afraid it would be all about the sex, but it's not。 There is a great story here。 I didn't realize these two books were published or they would have been added lot ago。 Not much to say other than what I have already said。 !Fantastic! artwork, laugh out loud chibi moments, great interactions between the characters。 I don't think when I first came across the series that I thought it would turn out so good。 I was afraid it would be all about the sex, but it's not。 There is a great story here。 。。。more

This book is worth reading just for the crossdressing & frill dress chapter。Rulca is exhausted after his fight with demon Vald and need some special berries to recover。 Vald does a classic hero M。C thing and decide to push Halvir away since he believes it is his fault if his friends are suffering。 He prefers to keep things sample and focus on the journey purpose。 Yeah right, this last for like one chapter。 The prince does another classic trope and jump into harm way to rescue a dragon。 Halvir is This book is worth reading just for the crossdressing & frill dress chapter。Rulca is exhausted after his fight with demon Vald and need some special berries to recover。 Vald does a classic hero M。C thing and decide to push Halvir away since he believes it is his fault if his friends are suffering。 He prefers to keep things sample and focus on the journey purpose。 Yeah right, this last for like one chapter。 The prince does another classic trope and jump into harm way to rescue a dragon。 Halvir is not please and the two get into a fight。 Once Rulca is heal, the team have to travel to Zenedoura and meet with the sorcerer Emperor。 Once there, Halvir pretend to be send by the capital in order to gain access to a magical stamp。 Vald is afraid that the sorcerer will abandon him。 It takes Limris to wake him up from his stubbornness and tell him to fix the problem with his lover。Next chapter is the best one so far in this series and is absolutely comic。 Vald dress up as a girl (and there is a small reference to the previous manga when he did the same thing as a kid) to pass incognito in a ball and see Halvir again。 The two of them finally manage to have a serious talk and of course, some hot intercourse。 Nothing new much about the sword curse, but this manga is so beautiful and fun that I don’t really care。 。。。more

Whereas I described the first volume as generic high fantasy with sex scenes shoved in, the vibe here is totally romance novel with fantasy backdrop。 There's the traditional romance trope of a falling-out caused by unwillingness of both parties to discuss their feelings in a mature way。 There's even a ball, basically for no reason other than as an excuse to dress the characters up pretty。 Vald is the overwrought heroine -- although to be fair that whole demonic possession thing seems to cause mo Whereas I described the first volume as generic high fantasy with sex scenes shoved in, the vibe here is totally romance novel with fantasy backdrop。 There's the traditional romance trope of a falling-out caused by unwillingness of both parties to discuss their feelings in a mature way。 There's even a ball, basically for no reason other than as an excuse to dress the characters up pretty。 Vald is the overwrought heroine -- although to be fair that whole demonic possession thing seems to cause mood swings and irrationality。 We're also reminded in passing that he's actually quite young (18 or 20, I think) and has spent his life dutifully learning to be a good ruler, so everything that's happening both on a personal and plot level is new to him。 Vald snuck into the ball in a dress。Also Rulca the bunny/dragon/whatever is cuter than ever。The new character that was introduced at the end of last volume is quite ambiguous so far and seems connected to the larger plot arc with the origin of the cursed sword。 Am looking forward to finding out what he's up to。 。。。more

Vald distances himself from Havi not wanting complications and still uncomfortable with submitting to the beautiful sorcerer。 The party arrive at a town and Havi goes off to masquerade as their newly appointed sorcerer。 Vald is terrified Havi will leave him for good and stay on as the town wizard - so he dresses up as a princess to get Havi's attention。。。。Highlight of this one is clearly Vald in a dress and the seduction that follows but I also love his interaction with rabbit spirit Rulca and h Vald distances himself from Havi not wanting complications and still uncomfortable with submitting to the beautiful sorcerer。 The party arrive at a town and Havi goes off to masquerade as their newly appointed sorcerer。 Vald is terrified Havi will leave him for good and stay on as the town wizard - so he dresses up as a princess to get Havi's attention。。。。Highlight of this one is clearly Vald in a dress and the seduction that follows but I also love his interaction with rabbit spirit Rulca and his determination to heal him。The artwork on this series is stunning and for those of you who like their yaoi with a fantasy setting this really is at the top of its game。 I can't believe there's only one volume left! Rulca collapses after his battle with Vald。 Vald goes off in search of magic berries to heal him。 Fights a demon, saves a dragon, returns triumphant with the berries。 Havi gets a job stamping hands。 A steamy sex scene on the balcony at the ball。 One more book to go and we're no closer to breaking the curse than when we started。 At least AY keeps things sexy。 Rulca collapses after his battle with Vald。 Vald goes off in search of magic berries to heal him。 Fights a demon, saves a dragon, returns triumphant with the berries。 Havi gets a job stamping hands。 A steamy sex scene on the balcony at the ball。 One more book to go and we're no closer to breaking the curse than when we started。 At least AY keeps things sexy。 。。。more

There may be more to Val's demon?! Such a surprise! ∑(O_O;)As usual, the art is gorgeous, the bishies ever so well drawn, the emotional roller-coasters enjoyable。。。 though the quick scenes changing can become a bit confusing and does, imo, take a bit of focus away from the story。Still, it is Yamane and as such, always enjoyable。 I do so love her chibis and the humorous aspects found here and there。 There may be more to Val's demon?! Just noticed that I haven't written a review for this volume, though I read it back in December and it's March now。。。 I guess my procrastination is easily explained, since I didn't like the book。 It's filled with fetishes I don't care much about to the prejudice of the plot, which is not only weak, but almost non-existent here。 After the third volume this one was such a disappointment。 At least, the next one is better。 Just noticed that I haven't written a review for this volume, though I read it back in December and it's March now。。。 I guess my procrastination is easily explained, since I didn't like the book。 It's filled with fetishes I don't care much about to the prejudice of the plot, which is not only weak, but almost non-existent here。 After the third volume this one was such a disappointment。 At least, the next one is better。 。。。more

The drama between Havi and Vlad was a bit, ah, soap operaesque this time around haha。 So I was a bit impatient getting through it and resuming the plot。 But I was as pleased as any to see the two making up again。 Although I foresee more issues between them in the future。。。Haha, I can't believe Yamane got an excuse to get Vald in a dress。 Perfection。 The drama between Havi and Vlad was a bit, ah, soap operaesque this time around haha。 So I was a bit impatient getting through it and resuming the plot。 But I was as pleased as any to see the two making up again。 Although I foresee more issues between them in the future。。。Haha, I can't believe Yamane got an excuse to get Vald in a dress。 Perfection。 。。。more

4。5 stars。 Another lovely installment of this story with beautiful artwork。 Loved the cross-dressing scene & when Havi says to Vald, "Geeze, suddenly appearing in a dress and crying in public。 。 。 " Small bits of confusion which might be due to translations to English or some similar appearing characters。 4。5 stars。 Another lovely installment of this story with beautiful artwork。 Loved the cross-dressing scene & when Havi says to Vald, "Geeze, suddenly appearing in a dress and crying in public。 。 。 " Small bits of confusion which might be due to translations to English or some similar appearing characters。 。。。more

The story is interesting that the usual standard yaoi fare and the artwork is worth drooling over。 All is well but they are sudden changes of scene from time to time that I find to be rather confusing and disruptive to the story flow。* 12 Sept 2015

4。5 starsThis was so much fun! We were treated to a break in the frantic action/plot convolutions and actually got some relationship development。 Yes! Relationship development and actual discussion of the deed, itself。 *gasp*But of course, we also got excessive amounts of eye-popping prettiness。 Seriously, how many long-haired pretty boys can be crammed into one little series? Hee, and I was most delighted by some incredibly amusing cross-dressing。 All in all, really, really good times!

~4/5[Read more at my blog, Geeky Reading!]This series is still very plot-heavy, but still very enjoyable。The problem with Rulca is dealt with in this volume, and the group moves on to entering a new town to move along the main plot。 Limris is still up to something, and I don’t think I like him。 I’m honestly not hugely invested in the larger plot, even if I do find some of it exciting。Meanwhile, Vald is having a hard time accepting his other self, even if he has started using it when he needs to。 ~4/5[Read more at my blog, Geeky Reading!]This series is still very plot-heavy, but still very enjoyable。The problem with Rulca is dealt with in this volume, and the group moves on to entering a new town to move along the main plot。 Limris is still up to something, and I don’t think I like him。 I’m honestly not hugely invested in the larger plot, even if I do find some of it exciting。Meanwhile, Vald is having a hard time accepting his other self, even if he has started using it when he needs to。 Then he and Halvir have a fight, and make up with some sex。 It’s a little adorable, and then very hot, and then sweet again。 I just like them, unabashedly。 I am reading this solely for them, and I am not ashamed。Which is to say that I will be getting the next volume, hopefully soon, just for them, and I am excited for it。 。。。more

Prince Vald’s discovery that the sorcerer Havi has been raping him while his human self was dormant has led to a wild see-sawing of his emotions and increasingly reckless behavior。 The fact that Havi is utterly without remorse over his actions doesn’t help。Rape is hard to accept as a story element; the author manages to dodge the issue by never using the word。 Vald himself doesn’t quite recall the times when he had sex as a demon。 His main objections to it stem from the fact that he enjoyed it a Prince Vald’s discovery that the sorcerer Havi has been raping him while his human self was dormant has led to a wild see-sawing of his emotions and increasingly reckless behavior。 The fact that Havi is utterly without remorse over his actions doesn’t help。Rape is hard to accept as a story element; the author manages to dodge the issue by never using the word。 Vald himself doesn’t quite recall the times when he had sex as a demon。 His main objections to it stem from the fact that he enjoyed it and was the seme during the acts。 The context of Havi’s actions and his motivations must be taken into account—Vald’s demonic side needed taming and had to be bound lest he fly out of control and murder anyone who came near him。 Sexual binding to a powerful sorcerer was the most expedient way to manage this。 (The fact that Vald is young, handsome and sexually uninhibited while a demon were strong incentives。)The previous volume had Havi being taken to task for his oblivious treatment of Vald。 This one has Vald putting himself needlessly in danger。 This is partially because he now fears hurting his friends and companions。 But there is a deeper underlying motive—he is skittish about his further emotional involvement with Havi。 His ambivalence, uncertainty about what his changed feelings mean and sexual shyness lead to contradictory, dangerous behavior and others have no problems taking him to task over it。 Combining as it does social interaction, emotional turmoil, friendship, emotional suppression, jealousy and suspicion, et al。, Crimson Spell continues to surprise, delight and titillate。 As always, the sexual scene is really great, naughty and slightly kinky。 In short, all the elements that have made this a highly successful series are here in one glorious volume, keeping this reader wonderfully primed for volume five。 。。。more
