Summary

All in Voramis know the legend of the Hunter。
Relentless。 Immortal。 Death walking。 The greatest assassin who ever lived。

Pay the master killer his due and the Hunter will execute any target, carry out any contract, no matter how impossible。

But when the Bloody Hand crime syndicate harms the innocents under his protection, they foolishly make an enemy of the one man they can’t afford to anger。 The price of the Hunter’s vengeance is high—paid in blood and eternal damnation。 Not even an army of crooks, cutthroats, and demonic creatures of nightmare can stand in his way。

He’s far more than just one man…he’s the Keeper-damned Hunter of Voramis。

Epic in scope and size; intimate in the detail。 An anti-hero for the ages。 A whirlwind of death, violence, and dark-justice。A must read。

Again。It took me 50 pages before I realised I had read the book before。 From its 700 plus page size of say it's two books rewritten to one story and I must say, the author has done a great job。 It's a good story too, that is why I read to the end。 Honestly, you should too。 Again。It took me 50 pages before I realised I had read the book before。 From its 700 plus page size of say it's two books rewritten to one story and I must say, the author has done a great job。 It's a good story too, that is why I read to the end。 Honestly, you should too。 。。。more

Fantastic! I absolutely loved Darkblade Assassin when I read it two years ago。 But this new rewritten version is next level! The Hunter is a ruthless assassin showing no mercy to his victims。 Driven to kill by the dagger Soulhunger to kill for power he seems like an evil man。 But he will always help the weak and poor。 He’s an intriguing character to be sure。 As for the rest of the story, it’s fast paced and exciting which makes it hard to put down。 The body count is pretty crazy too。 Long story Fantastic! AP has portrayed a world of depravity and violence, from the filth and squalor of the Beggar’s Quarter to the opulent decadence of Upper Varamis, the Nobles Quarter。 His world building is brilliant and his characters have depth to them even when they don’t have a major place in the storyline。 You can smell and taste the stench in the poor quarters after which your senses are overwhelmed with the cloying perfume and oil-laden scents of drunken nobles。Our antihero, the Hunter, is a dichotomy。 He i AP has portrayed a world of depravity and violence, from the filth and squalor of the Beggar’s Quarter to the opulent decadence of Upper Varamis, the Nobles Quarter。 His world building is brilliant and his characters have depth to them even when they don’t have a major place in the storyline。 You can smell and taste the stench in the poor quarters after which your senses are overwhelmed with the cloying perfume and oil-laden scents of drunken nobles。Our antihero, the Hunter, is a dichotomy。 He is unabashedly a killer yet he has a soft side to him。 He acts as the protector of the beggars living in filth against those of the Bloody Hand gang who prey on them and loves the little girl he saved from dying as a baby。 He gave her to the House of the Beggar God to raise but always kept in contact with her even though she didn’t always recognise him through his various disguises。 Mystery surrounds him and even he doesn’t know who he really is。 But we, the readers, have to believe that there is a good man inside him when we share his thoughts。 When the Bloody Hand go too far in their depravity it is up to Hunter to stop them! One man against hundreds and against a greater evil than he has ever faced。 This is no Cerberus but still a man searching to do the right thing。 A totally different world from a future with AI。 This is an alternate, primitive world with demons and magic。 Awesome! 。。。more

This is a great fantasy thriller。 The action starts early on and doesn’t let up。 The Hunter is certainly one mean dude。 Cannot possibly wait for the next book in the series。 I am so glad this author is on my must read list。 If you like fantasy you’ll love this。 Very highly recommended must read。

I didn’t know it was possible to delve deeper into the Hunters soul, and yet once again this author made this tale even more hardcore。 Haunting , gut wrenching, devastating , the journey of the Hunter is paved in death and destruction。 His compassion for the unwanted is deep and woe to anyone who dares to cross him。 I’ve read other assassins before, but this Hunter of Vooramis is one of a kind。 This tale is definitely one of those meant to be reread over and over。 A slam dunk recommend…but not f I didn’t know it was possible to delve deeper into the Hunters soul, and yet once again this author made this tale even more hardcore。 Haunting , gut wrenching, devastating , the journey of the Hunter is paved in death and destruction。 His compassion for the unwanted is deep and woe to anyone who dares to cross him。 I’ve read other assassins before, but this Hunter of Vooramis is one of a kind。 This tale is definitely one of those meant to be reread over and over。 A slam dunk recommend…but not for anyone easily triggered or offended。 。。。more

There's not enough awe in awesomeness to explain what I feel about this book。Assassin is not a quick read。 It’s an epic which is sure to have your emotions twisting as much as the blade, Soulhunger, twists into its victims。 After reading the first chapter, I almost put the book down。 I expected the violence; I mean come on—Assassin is the title。 For some reason, in the middle of all the epic, intense, perfectly written action, I didn’t connect with the Hunter or the people he was killing。 I’m so There's not enough awe in awesomeness to explain what I feel about this book。Assassin is not a quick read。 It’s an epic which is sure to have your emotions twisting as much as the blade, Soulhunger, twists into its victims。 After reading the first chapter, I almost put the book down。 I expected the violence; I mean come on—Assassin is the title。 For some reason, in the middle of all the epic, intense, perfectly written action, I didn’t connect with the Hunter or the people he was killing。 I’m so glad I continued to read another chapter, and then another, and so on… A few chapters in and I was hooked! Andy Peloquin had given us an assassin/hero which we just have to root for in this tome which kept me gripped and reading from start to finish。 The Hunter of Voramis was normally an assassin for sale who made his skills available to those who could afford him。 However he was more than this, he looked after those society turned away from, those most vulnerable and in need and provided shelter and medications for them。 So when the syndicate known as the The Bloody Hand tried to get to him by attac Andy Peloquin had given us an assassin/hero which we just have to root for in this tome which kept me gripped and reading from start to finish。 The Hunter of Voramis was normally an assassin for sale who made his skills available to those who could afford him。 However he was more than this, he looked after those society turned away from, those most vulnerable and in need and provided shelter and medications for them。 So when the syndicate known as the The Bloody Hand tried to get to him by attacking all those he cared for Hunter vowed he would take the syndicate down。 He also found out that the first finger of the hand was a demon and in discovering this at great risk to his own life he also found out a lot about himself。 He had never heard of either Bucelarii, Abiarazi or Cambionari。 and when he did his worldview changed。 He is hounded by ghosts who demand that he avenge the fallen and this is what he sets out to do in the city of Voramis which was so riddled with evil and whose streets were to soon run red with blood。 I love the fact that the Hunter is so caring even though an assassin and that his kindness makes us forget his violence if not even support him and root for him in the end to take the real evil down。 This is a very gripping book full of violence but also so much more, about a character who is larger than life。 I for one, know that I am already waiting to read book 2 in this incredible Darkblade series as The Hunter of Voramis is my favourite assassin out there。 。。。more
