Summary

Pirates pacified。 Void vanquished。 Peace is a fragile beast。

Felix has survived the tribulations of the Void and returned to the Continent。 Civilization, at long last。 Yet the city of Haarwatch has a new, terrible issue。

The Inquisition has arrived to stamp out sorcery and unnatural monstrosities… and Felix still has the Primordial Maw riding shotgun in his soul。 Now, he must find his friends and a way to remove a section of his very essence before everything comes crashing down。

All the while, sinister plots in Haarwatch's center promise dire, bloody consequences for anyone who catches the Inquisition’s eye。

So much better than the previous bookI really enjoyed the first book in this series。 The second was rough for me。 This one did so much better。 It still had quite a bit of focus on the big bad guy that was defeated in book one, but unlike book two did not feel like it was spinning it wheels for the whole book。 Definitely worth the wait。

High fantasy with scrumptious action Litrpg with a mix of High fantasy, high stakes action prevalent with recent books abound in the 3rd iteration of Unbound series。 MC is OP as hell and with insane plot armour but we love each and every scene of non stop action。 Definitely looking forward to reading how chimera, mc and our motley crew if friends will combat the archon in next book。

Well worth the listenAs a rule of thumb I like to warn ahead of time that I generally listen to books at 2。6-3。0 * speed, so it's a pleasure when I find myself with a 9+ hour experience。 Inflections that might otherwise be clear can be lost at slower speeds, see "The Way of Kings" for examples。 I greatly appreciate that the author seems to have moved beyond reciting the MC's stat sheets every other chapter。 The joys of both audio books and the written text is ultimately the skip forward approach Well worth the listenAs a rule of thumb I like to warn ahead of time that I generally listen to books at 2。6-3。0 * speed, so it's a pleasure when I find myself with a 9+ hour experience。 Inflections that might otherwise be clear can be lost at slower speeds, see "The Way of Kings" for examples。 I greatly appreciate that the author seems to have moved beyond reciting the MC's stat sheets every other chapter。 The joys of both audio books and the written text is ultimately the skip forward approach, but finding a way to weave the characters growth in an abstract way, without citing the stat sheet, is what good LitRPG's always need。While the second book was substantially shorter, this was a meaty story worth the wait and the audio book was incredly enjoyable。 My only regret is the fact the author introduced a power amplifier here that honestly may have been better off being introduced in the second story。 But that by no means justifies lowering the over all rating。 I would recommend this book to anyone who is curious about LitRPG's or is otherwise looking for a well written, enjoyable, power scaling fantasy, to check this out。 As the third book in the franchise there's a good chance you've atleast made it past the first two and might have reservations。 However, I can say assuredly that this was the most enjoyable of the series by far。 If the author manages to keep this up, both in length and in substance, he will be well off on becoming one of my go-to's for future stories。 The real question going forward, and what will cement this story as something standing above general LitRPG's going forward。 Will be if the author is able to continue his existing fleshed out world via the existing factions and new faction leaders, alongside the intrigue already Inherent to what he has set up。 One of the most interesting elements of power scaling dynamics is finding out how the greater world interacts with these events, and the world shown so far is considerably smaller than I think I could be。 Looking forward to the next one! 。。。more

Over 1,000 pages of intensityIt took me a while to finish this。 Massive amounts of combat, overwhelming power, training, political machinations…the only thing this book *doesn’t* have is sex。The MC is OP, but with devastating weaknesses that make him vulnerable to his main opponents for much of the book。More please。

This lacks direction。The MC is just bumbling forward with others choosing his path。 This is one of those books where you do not get invested and hope the monsters win。 He length drives home the fact that there is no story, just hints of plot ideas yet to come。

Too longI like a nice long book, but this could have been cut down。 It wasn't necessary to see a lot of other character's perspectives and caused the story to unnecessary broken up。 Too longI like a nice long book, but this could have been cut down。 It wasn't necessary to see a lot of other character's perspectives and caused the story to unnecessary broken up。 。。。more

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it, click here。 This was another exciting addition to the Unbound series。 Felix, although OP, does his best to help others around him。 I dig that。 I love that he was able to reunite with his friends, and isn't so alone any more。。。 even though he always has the wonderful Pit by his side。 This was a long read, but well worth it。 I hope there's more coming for Felix, Vess, Evie, Pit and company。。。 'cause I need more of these people。 This was another exciting addition to the Unbound series。 Felix, although OP, does his best to help others around him。 I dig that。 I love that he was able to reunite with his friends, and isn't so alone any more。。。 even though he always has the wonderful Pit by his side。 This was a long read, but well worth it。 I hope there's more coming for Felix, Vess, Evie, Pit and company。。。 'cause I need more of these people。 。。。more

Another great sequel! I can't wait for book 4。 This book has to be the best one yet, way better than book 1, and way way better than book 2。 This was a big chunk of a book that took forever to read, it's something I enjoyed reading and listening to。 It's another book I have to add to the " best books of this year" list。 I really liked this book, and I think it was performed really well。 No, I know this book was performed really well。 Nicoli went all out in this book, and I bet he'll do better in Another great sequel! Best book so far。 The author continuously builds out the lore of the world with out overly expositing。 The main characters are all fun and have their own motivations。 There are constant twists and turns and nods back to unresolved threads of previous books。 There really isn't anything bad to say about the series。 Can't wait to see where the next book leads, especially with how many plot points seemed to resolve by the end of this book。 Best book so far。 The author continuously builds out the lore of the world with out overly expositing。 The main characters are all fun and have their own motivations。 There are constant twists and turns and nods back to unresolved threads of previous books。 There really isn't anything bad to say about the series。 Can't wait to see where the next book leads, especially with how many plot points seemed to resolve by the end of this book。 。。。more
