Mark Dawson and John Milton never disappoint。How is it possible that these books get better and better ?Mark Dawson has an imagination second to non。Edge of the seat doesn't come close。Without doubt, one of the best authors in this genre around today。 Mark Dawson and John Milton never disappoint。How is it possible that these books get better and better ?Mark Dawson has an imagination second to non。Edge of the seat doesn't come close。Without doubt, one of the best authors in this genre around today。 。。。more

Awesome bookMany of these lone wolf series start to get a bit tired and repetitive after so many episodes, but Mark continually manages to come up with new twists and turns that make each new book so compelling。Once again, I find myself unable to put his latest book down until I've finished it, and can't wait until the next book in whichever series he's working on next。Really good effort yet again Mark!! great As always Mr。 Dawson delivers。 This series just gets better。 I love than he has been using more brain than brawn in the last few books。 Another must read。。

The twentieth book in this series and Mark Dawson continues to create wonderful books。 A fantastic author and a superb character, a match made - in England?

John Milton at his absolute bestFor the twentieth book, Mark has upped his game and given us the book we've been waiting for ever since The Cleaner。 After the shock ending of the last book, John Milton is working with Group Fifteen under duress, the carrot being his slate wiped clean。 A recalcitrant billionaire has insisted on John's protection and Milton realises it's either that or a bullet in the back of his head。Seeing John working side by side with the current Number One, Björn Thorsson, is John Milton at his absolute bestFor the twentieth book, Mark has upped his game and given us the book we've been waiting for ever since The Cleaner。 After the shock ending of the last book, John Milton is working with Group Fifteen under duress, the carrot being his slate wiped clean。 A recalcitrant billionaire has insisted on John's protection and Milton realises it's either that or a bullet in the back of his head。Seeing John working side by side with the current Number One, Björn Thorsson, is fascinating because John has left egg on Thorsson's face in each of their previous encounters in the last few books。 Thorsson has his own demons, as you will know if you read the Group Fifteen novella, Little Sister, and they come back to haunt him in this book。 Turns out, he and Milton may not be so dissimilar after all。The themes running through all the Milton books continues, John battling his alcoholism while trying to even out his ledger, and while this assignment tests his sobriety severely, it also gives him a chance to help past, current and possible future victims but at what personal cost?As always, the story kept me on my toes and the ending was unexpected but hugely satisfying。 We may be up to twenty books already but the partnership of Mark Dawson and John Milton, like Milton himself, shows no signs of failing or falling short。 Long may they continue。 。。。more

John Milton never disappoints us, only leaves us wanting more! I think this is one of Mark Dawson's best yet!Sometimes you've just got to do what you've got to do to make the world a better place and blow the consequences! You can never be bulletproof when John Milton is around。 A book well worth reading and you'll want more。Look forward to the next one。 John Milton never disappoints us, only leaves us wanting more! Control has Milton in a cell so small he can barely turn around。 Huxley is a multi-billionaire who is about to sign a mega deal and thinks he is bulletproof。 The Group doesn't agree, but the only way he will agree to additional security is if they include Milton in the deal。 Milton knew him back when he was a mere multi-millionaire。 Turns out to be a good idea on both sides。 However, Huxley's real life does not mesh with his public persona and that creates all sorts aggravation for Milton。 Looks Control has Milton in a cell so small he can barely turn around。 Huxley is a multi-billionaire who is about to sign a mega deal and thinks he is bulletproof。 The Group doesn't agree, but the only way he will agree to additional security is if they include Milton in the deal。 Milton knew him back when he was a mere multi-millionaire。 Turns out to be a good idea on both sides。 However, Huxley's real life does not mesh with his public persona and that creates all sorts aggravation for Milton。 Looks like redemption isn't in the cards。 Action packed, as usual。 。。。more

John Milton has been running for an awful long time, from the Group he killed for, from the past he can't erase。 He really thought they would never find him, but here we are, captured and lying in a cell by the folks he once worked for。 The Group has a 'deal' for him, work for them protecting a billionaire he once dealt with, and his record would be expunged。 He would be released, clean, no more running。。。Ya and he believes in Santa Claus too!! I received an ARC from the author and I offer You my honest thoughts and feelings in this review。 。。。more

Another thrill ride in this series。 You can always count on this author to provide a well written, sit on the edge of your seat book。 The characters are tough men and women that have a soft center and the storyline was well written。 A definite page turner you don't want to miss。Milton it back and against his will doing Controls bidding one last time。I received an arc of this book and voluntarily provided a review。 Another thrill ride in this series。 You can always count on this author to provide a well written, sit on the edge of your seat book。 The characters are tough men and women that have a soft center and the storyline was well written。 A definite page turner you don't want to miss。Milton it back and against his will doing Controls bidding one last time。I received an arc of this book and voluntarily provided a review。 。。。more

I had been waiting to read this book since I finished Never Let Me Down Again, and I'm pleased to say that the wait was well worth it! As is usually the case, John Milton starts out in the middle of a deadly predicament, leading from the end of the previous novel, and sadly the only way to extracate himself is to agree to do one final job for the new Control。 Strangely, it doesn't involve killing anyone, it involves guarding a person who John has worked with before。 Someone who has been collecti I had been waiting to read this book since I finished Never Let Me Down Again, and I'm pleased to say that the wait was well worth it!
