Summary

On the worst birthday of my life, I come home to find my boyfriend in bed with another woman。 Within hours, I’m drunk, homeless, and pledging to stay single forever。 And that is when the dangerously sexy Seelie King rolls through town, looking for fae like me。

Every generation, the king holds a competition for Seelie queen。 But for reasons he won’t explain, Torin is looking for a charade, not a real marriage。 So when I drunkenly sling insults his way, I have his attention。

When Torin offers me fifty million to participate, I think, “What have I got to lose?” The answer turns out to be “my life,” because my competition will literally kill for the crown。

And the more time I spend with the seductive king, the harder it becomes to remember it’s all supposed to be fake。 Now, my life—and my heart—are one the line。

4。5 stars ✨ I loved how this book flowed easily, it didn’t drag on at all。 It stars off as a normal book with the end goal clearly in sight, but it slowly starts to morph into something darker as you read though! Can’t wait for book two!

It has potential, but it was honestly too fast paced。 Not enough character development or history was provided so while it was interesting to read, I guessed the conclusion pretty easily。

Interesting beginning…🙂It was a pretty decent first book。 An outcast not wanted in either world is the unlikely heroine to save a race who despises her。I loved that Frost had more action and thrill。 Its scenes and plots flowed seamlessly into the next intoxicating moment。 The world building was on point and its characters were highly entertaining。Unfortunately, I have to wait until next year to read book 2 ☹️☹️☹️ well, I have a title to add to my TBR list for 2023😉

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it, click here。 This was a pretty average read。 The plot and even the cliffhanger was predictable。 It reminded me a little of A Deal with the Elf King。 The main focus of the book was on the tournament for finding the Queen which was interesting but I felt like the book was very short and these fighting scenes could’ve been longer。 I also felt there were A LOT of similarities between this book and City of Thorns。 Like the running through the woods part was similar and the relationship between Torin and Ava。 Also This was a pretty average read。 The plot and even the cliffhanger was predictable。 It reminded me a little of A Deal with the Elf King。 The main focus of the book was on the tournament for finding the Queen which was interesting but I felt like the book was very short and these fighting scenes could’ve been longer。 I also felt there were A LOT of similarities between this book and City of Thorns。 Like the running through the woods part was similar and the relationship between Torin and Ava。 Also Torin was supposed to help Ava find out about her birth parents but that never happened lol maybe in the next book? 。。。more

I received an ARC of this novel in exchange for a fair and honest review。 This was a fantastic read。 I loved every single page and the interactions between Ava and Torin left me squealing。 It was sexy, tense, magical, and hilarious。 The story follows Ava Jones, Fae female living in the human world, and Torin, King of the Seelie Court。 After coming home to the worst birthday surprise of all time (surprise, your boyfriend is cheating!) Ava runs into Torin at a bar。 Their brief but memorable interactions leads to Torin inviting Ava to join a traditional competition to become Queen of the Seelie Court。 Torin and the Fae need a Queen to bring life back to the Seelie land, but for a reason he refuses to say, it has to be a sham。 For $50M, what does Ava have to lose?? My favorite parts: - World building is simple, believable, and beautifully written。 I love the attention to detail surrounding Fae lore and it was incorporated beautifully so I never felt like I was on the receiving end of an info-dump。 - The tension between Torin and Ava is toe curlingly delicious- Shailani and Aeron are delightful supporting characters- The perfect amount of intrigue and mystery surrounding Torin's decisions。 You're constantly on the edge of your seat without getting whiplash- The dialogue and banter was A+- The cliffhanger ending AHHH book 2 needs to come out ASAP! There wasn't anything I particularly disliked about this book! I do wish it were spicier but I hope that's rectified in book 2。 Do yourself a favor and read this book! 。。。more

yes yes yesI had high hopes for Frost after reading the blurb… and it did NOT disappoint! A brooding fae king? A female main character who has sworn off love? Throw in some murderous princesses and what could go wrong? Only everything and I can’t wait for more!

Different but very goodNot your usual fae story。Different and really interesting characters。Some language, sexual tension, and funny in places you wouldn't expect。I definitely want to read the sequels。 Different but very goodNot your usual fae story。Different and really interesting characters。Some language, sexual tension, and funny in places you wouldn't expect。I definitely want to read the sequels。 。。。more

Forbidden-to-love Fae bachelor Several authors have been promoting this book, so I moved it up my tbr。 I read it in one day。 This story drew me in from almost the beginning and I could not put it down。 The authors did an amazinf job of turning a guilty pleasure "reality" show into a bloodthirsty fae tradition。 The mystery of the FMC's background added an extra element that i enjoyed。 Definite slow burn because curse, but I was not feeling devoid of spice thanks to the MMC's filthy mouth。 Then, t Forbidden-to-love Fae bachelor Several authors have been promoting this book, so I moved it up my tbr。 I read it in one day。 This story drew me in from almost the beginning and I could not put it down。 The authors did an amazinf job of turning a guilty pleasure "reality" show into a bloodthirsty fae tradition。 The mystery of the FMC's background added an extra element that i enjoyed。 Definite slow burn because curse, but I was not feeling devoid of spice thanks to the MMC's filthy mouth。 Then, the ending?! An excellent read I just couldn’t put down… like literally couldn’t put down…。 I read it in 3。5 hrs。 A book perfectly woven together to include amazing world building, histories, tragedies and best of all romance。 This book let me on the edge of my seat questioning every word and path the words might go。 That ending was climatic and left me begging for the next book to see how this goes because I envision the response going down 2 potential paths and I’d love to read both of them。 Shalini is fan An excellent read I just couldn’t put down… like literally couldn’t put down…。 I read it in 3。5 hrs。 A book perfectly woven together to include amazing world building, histories, tragedies and best of all romance。 This book let me on the edge of my seat questioning every word and path the words might go。 That ending was climatic and left me begging for the next book to see how this goes because I envision the response going down 2 potential paths and I’d love to read both of them。 Shalini is fantastic and makes for the perfect confidante for our main character Ava。 I’m also a sucker for Toruń but I think A lot of that has to do with the aloofness he puts out and the fact that he has a tragic back story! I’m a sucker for those ones haha。 Over all this book was written with precision that left me well satisfied and wanting more… much more! 。。。more

OH MY GOSH! So so so good! I loved everything about this book。 I can’t get over how Torin and Ava are so much alike in terms of not wanting to admit they actually like each other。 I was shocked about the cliffhanger at the end。 Now I’m not so patiently waiting for the second book。 I want to continue Torin and Ava’s story!

It was so small!! I need more!!!" Already pre-ordered the next one cause now my life's incomplete 🤡 Thank you Christine 💙❄️ 。。。more
