Original review written 6 February 2024， based upon the excerpt on the Warriors website。Dang。 I am sincerely impressed。 After the utter disappointments that were the previous FOUR books， it's really about time that we had a good， solid Warriors book。 Granted， I've only read the prologue and the first three chapters because the book hasn't been published yet， but I definitely enjoyed these three chapters infinitely more than the previous four books combined。 Doesn't that say a lot？The prologue wa Original review written 6 February 2024， based upon the excerpt on the Warriors website。Dang。 I am sincerely impressed。 After the utter disappointments that were the previous FOUR books， it's really about time that we had a good， solid Warriors book。 Granted， I've only read the prologue and the first three chapters because the book hasn't been published yet， but I definitely enjoyed these three chapters infinitely more than the previous four books combined。 Doesn't that say a lot？The prologue was GOOD。 I love nothing more in a Warriors book than competent warriors， witty humor， and CAPABLE VILLAINS。 Splashtail has got his crap together and is doing all that he can to make his plan come true， and he managed to go this long without a hitch， pretty much。 I'd love more than anything for Splashtail to be narrating the entire book。 I'd read that book in three seconds flat！Stuff finally gone DONE in the first chapter at the Gathering。 Instead of sitting around and talking pointlessly， the cats made decisions and moved the plot forward。 Yes。 Yes， yes， YES！ FINALLY！I don't like the thought of Squirrelflight being a leader， but at least she's being competent。 It's been FAR too long since we've had a leader who doesn't sit around， wondering what to do。 She's made up her mind， based on rational thought and logic， and is sticking to it。 YAY！I can almost accept the romance between Sunbeam and Nightheart， as it does seem very sweet， if I knew nothing about them beforehand。 Their romance was very undeveloped， rushed， and pretty stupid in the previous books， but they've reached a good point in their relationship right now， I guess。 I like that Sunbeam has finally got some conflict between her Clan and her family。 Juicy conflict is awesome！Full review to come when the book is released; with any luck， the rest of the book will be as good as the beginning！ 。。。more
